Chapter 18 - Chapter 18 - A Slave Mark

I don't know how long they did that, but I bled a lot. I'd already turned to my human form, and my hands were bound back to the short ceiling. And I was sure that some of my ribs were cracking.

They didn't use a sharp weapon to bleed me, but they hold a hard heavy whip that slashed me

Rebecca already had said the undo spell, and though it hurt so much, I'd felt something worse than this. It was a long time ago that I already forgot the feeling.

if only I could take the ring from her. But I had no allies here. No one could help me and so. It was frustrating and sad at the same time.

"Bring it here!" Under the heavy of my eyelids, I saw Stella order one of the guards, signaling him to take something from the outside.

"It's a time for slaves to be reminded of their identity." Rebecca said as she circled my body.

She examined something about me, and suddenly, she ripped the fabric of my dress. I was wearing an old dress of Lisa's. It was a bigger size, but the material was comfortable to use. Rebecca ripped the upper part of it, making my upper body seen by everyone.

Let's calm down a little, Eliana. Think of a way out. My brain was speaking of a thousand cases that could happen in any moment. I'd rather die than let the other male wolves touch me.

Only that the reality was so different but not less vicious than my imagination. The guard was bringing in a movable furnace, with hot red charcoal and burned iron inside. The smell of the burnt metal together with the charcoal was not pleasant and made my situation more dreadful.

I thought I knew what those things were for. But I couldn't believe, the horrified tradition still existed in more stable turf like this. Even in my pack, they didn't treat a slave this way.

"Hundreds of years ago, a male wolf slave was hiding among the residents, making the owner work harder searching for him." Stella said, as she took some of the cast iron, "The owner decided to put a brand to him, so everyone will know he was just a mere slave and no one would help him."

I wrestled my body around, shaking the iron chains. This time, a little part of me was scared of what she might surely do. I gritted my teeth, showing my fangs to her. "If you put the brand on my body, I will kill you after that. I don't care for the aftermath."

Stella rolled her eyes, "Seriously, do you think your words matter right now?" She lifted my chin up, and pinched it between her fingers. Her long nails bled my skin adding another light scar on my beaten body.

"What the hell did that man see on you?" She asked, and I could see the hatred forming under the light of her eyes. "Conrad, how do you know him?"

"I don't know him!" I denied. He became a man that I didn't know.

Stella took back her hand roughly, "Don't lie!" She slapped my face, "I know how he saw you that night! How his gaze never left you!"

I let out a bitter laugh, "Why don't you ask him, then? You're his future Luna, He won't lie to his luna right?"

Stella lost her patience, and touched the area under my neckline. Right after my right chest. "Should I put it here?" She then touched my cheek, where the scare rested under my eyes. "Or should I do it here? Your scar is a shame anyways."

I bit my lips until it bled. "Do that, then I will bite your head off!"

Stella hesitated for a moment as she knew how strong I was. And if she surely did that, then there's no chance I would not kill her after. The pain and humiliation, I'd make sure she got it before she took the last breath.

"She's a coward." Rebecca said from behind. "She won't do that! I'm the owner of her, I give you permission to do anything to her, Stella."

She thought because she was engaged with Keegan, she could do anything with me. "If you think you can be safe after hurting me, then you are wrong. I'll make sure you won't be standing next to your man, and let Kara have it."

"You!" Rebecca stomped on my way with anger, as she took the cast iron from Stella, about touching me with that.

"Rebecca!" Stella shouted.

Rebecca eyed me evilly, "You know what? The brand is supposed to be stamped on Kara's face. But since you obstruct us, I will let you have it as much as you can on your skin."

She brought the cast iron on my face, and when it was about to touch my skin, I kicked her leg really hard.

"Argh!" She screamed.

As a result, Rebecca fell on the ground. The cast iron slipped from her hand, landed on the stone floor near her. But before that hot iron safely landed, it grazed her hand, creating a new burn wound on her skin. "No! My hand!" She was holding her hand painfully, crying.

"Bring cold water!" Stella yelled, as she helped Rebeca shoot her wound. "Oh no.." She gasped.

"Serve you, right!" I murmured.

This time when Stella looked back at me, her eyes were full of hatred and wrath. "Hold her down!" She took the ring from Rebecca, and cast a spell for me.

With the electric pain spread throughout my body, I was being held down by so many guards, kneeling in front of her.

Stella grabbed the cast, bringing it in front of my face. "I will make sure this mark covers all of your body!" Her voice was so malice when she said this.

And it was a lie if I'm not scared, my battered body couldn't fight all of them. I thought making the girls hesitate was enough to buy more time until I heal a bit, but it was a useless move. Their hatred seemed to sink so deep.

I keep struggling in their hold. Stella was going to press that hot cast iron on my face first. But the door slammed, made her jolting and paused her hand.

"Stop it!" It was a voice from the man. Why is he here?

"Conrad.." Stella called out.
