I saw that man standing gracefully, with his strong energy overpowering the room. He was truly an alpha.
When his eyes looked directly to mine, there was something inside that strong gaze that I didn't find from him the night before. A pity? Dismay? There's no way he could feel that about me.
After a second his gaze penetrated me, Conrad looked back to his future Luna, He was storming to our way.
"What are you thinking?!" He took the cast iron from Stella's hand, throw it in the furnace.
"Conrad.. I.." Stella was a little bit panicked, as she rubbed her hands together. "It's Rebecca! She told me to do it. She's the owner of her, I'm just helping her you know...."
Conrad gripped her shoulder, shook her a little, "Are you sure? Because if this happens without Keegan knowing, I'll make sure you pay for your little game."
After Conrad said that, I could feel the guards in the room start feeling uncomfortable.
Stella also looked so lost and dejected as her future alpha was hurting her because a mere slave. If I'm in her position, I would be showing him, making sure who his mate was. But this woman was stupid, or better yet, she was weak. Typical female wolf that could only nod, and was always looking for a reason for everything she did.
"Do you need to embarrass me like this? She's just a slave Conrad! If the owner wanted to burn all over her skin, they could!" Stella cried.
"Don't play with me!" He said it like he cared. But I'm so done with this.
I coughed, "I hate to disturb your performance, but let me talk to Keegan." I said with my hoarse voice.
It seemed what I just said was an insult to them, because one of the guards acted on his own. He gripped my neck, bumping my head to the dirty stone floor. "This bitch! How dare you talk to our future alpha like that!"
My head hurts, and not to mention the electric pain I have to endure. This body wouldn't be able to stand it for any longer.
The guards were pulling my hair back, making my back upright as my knees were still on the ground.
I felt my eyelid heavy, the vision started to blur "Unbound the spell, you coward.." It was the last word before everything turned black and I lost my strength.
I don't know what happened next, but I remember the familiar soft touch and the scent of that man surrounding me.
He murmured something that I couldn't catch, as my ears were ringing all the time. But his skin was so warm and comfortable on this cold night . And at that moment, I let myself rely on his embrace.
That's the last thing I remembered before I lost my consciousness.

I was about to go crazy. I never felt like my heart was beating, about to burst at any moment.
Eliana.. This girl was hopelessly laying in my arm, with her battered wound. How could she withstand all of the torture, with every hate I pour to this girl, she still had something on me. Making my heart beat so fast like they're gonna blow in a second.
Less than an hour ago, when Keegan called me, I was so foolish that I didn't answer the call right away, ignoring his countless requests to talk to me. And only until his butler came into my Manor, then I knew nothing good had happened.
I thought he was only going to flaunt everything on my face, for having her under his roof. Then there's also the denial I felt for not welcoming the sign of my heart. For not wanting to get attached with everything this woman did. For it's okay for her to get hurt.
But when my brother's voice was so wrecked, He told me something that I might regret. And now, the guilt was forming inside like the elephant stomping on my heart. If I could come earlier then, Eliana wouldn't be in this state. If I answer my brother's call right away, I could prevent everything. The feeling I tapped down when I saw her neck blue in bruises, started to come little by little.
"Conrad.." Stella called out my name, but i didn't give a fuck. She dared to play with what I considered mine. She and her friend Rebecca dared to play with this, while yesterday she had just been warned about Kara. I hoped Keegan would show her fiance the consequence when they started playing with Geargo. If not, I didn't mind dealing with her, even though she was a female wolf.
I looked back at Stella, and shouted. "Don't!" I warned her not to say anything.
My focus went back to the girl in my arms, as she was stirring a bit under her unconscious body. I creased my forehead, looking at her. "Eliana.. Can you hear me?"
I kept her face on my palms as her body was still leaning on my chest. Then something caught my sight. The stone on her collar. I touched it and it was warm and shined despite the lack of the light in this underground cell.
Don't fucking kidding me!
I turned my head back to Stella, saying my words with my intimidated tone. "Stella, you better say the undo spell or I'll make sure you know the deal of your game!"
"What??" Stella gasped, "Conrad I…" She lost her words as she might feel somewhat betrayed and insulted because she was the future Luna, and had to endure my anger for just a mere slave.
But I couldn't give her respect when she played so low, and acted not like a damned Luna should be. My mother never once treated slaves and played with their life like this just to satisfy her ego.
"Now, Stella!" I roared, and she nodded, gripping the ring so hard when I saw her knuckles whiter as she murmured the undo spell. Eliana's restless body became calmer. And she seemed more at ease in her sleep.
I let out the long breath, Gosh.. How could this woman still standing protecting herself when she was shocked by the electric pain? I couldn't fathom the ignorance of her own safety.
I lift her in my arms, carrying her outside this underground cell. I didn't say anything to Stella in the way, she didn't follow me either. Only then after I exited the cell, did I hear her screams, throwing the things inside.
My only focus was for this woman, Eliana. And people might think I lost my mind after what I did to her at the dinner banquet. That's fine, I didn't understand myself too. but there's one thing I was sure of after knowing she was almost dead.
I won't let this woman go.
