" Bye guys "Mirabel said to her friends as they got to her house.
"By…e Mirabel"they all replied.
Walking towards her house,she quickly stole a glance at her neighbor's to check if anyone was home.She saw his bike parked at the parking lot. "I Guess he is home already" she thought.
"Hey puppy!" she heard from the insides of her neighbor's .
"Huh has he been in this whole time she was staring at his house? Goshhhh this was so embarrassing!.
"Hey Jeremy!!!, I didn't noticed you were in" she said with sincerity.
"Ohhh! I thought you were admiring my house huh!" He said with a giggle.
" What's so special about your house that I should admire?" One could easily sense the tone of confusion laced in her voice. Indeed there wasn't really anything special in his house, the neighborhood house were all alike .
The houses were same pattern,they all had their car park at the right side of the house,just a short wooden fence demarcated one from another.
The only difference was the painting,Mirabel's house was painted blue and pink which was the choice of her mother.
"Would you like coming out for a while?" Jeremy asked her while coming out.
"Hmmm where?" She asked looking towards her door.
"Where else but frogsmere " he answered rolling his eyes at her.
"Really? Whoa!!! Yeah sure,let me quickly have a change of clothes and put a little thing into this tummy of mine I will come join you. Don't go without me Jerry!!!" She said happily.
" Of cause I won't " he said with a feigned frown.With that she rushed toward her.
"Miran….da"she screamed."where the hell is this sneaky brat " she wondered.
"Mira...bel" she heard a voice screamed with within.
"There she is she said to herself with a giggle. Hey ya,she said as she walked into Miranda's room. How is my baby sis doing?" She asked with a smile. Miranda sat on her bed reading a comic book ,she didn't even turn to look at the person in front of her.
" I think I just asked you a question Randa?" Mirabel said tugging on Miranda's hair.
"Aaargh, Miranda cursed stop it abel you're hurting me" she said almost in tears.
"Then give me a response when I talk to you huh!!!" Mirabel said with hers akimbo.
"But I don't want to!!!" Miranda said with a fold of her hands.
" ohhh !!! Then you leave me with no choice.
She was about pulling her hair again when Miranda screame " No no stop it oka…y I will give you okay?"
" Good girl!!! Mirabel said with a wicked smile. How is my baby sis doing?"
"Now you get your response, first of all you don't come home screaming out my name you aren't holding a search party, that's one . Two I am not a baby okay?"
"Oka…y, well I am sorry about screaming your name bu…t you're just 8years old,and I am 9 good years older than you so…. You're my baby sister huh!!! " Mirabel said and ended in an uncontrollable laughter.
"What's so funny? What are you laughing about?" Miranda asked with a bit of confusion.
"Baby sis I got no time for these talks , I just need to freshen up and I am off"
" Off to where? You're just coming back from school and you're going to some place again? I am just gonna tell mom and dad when they come back that you ain't taking good care of me the way you should " Miranda said almost in tears.
" Awwwn cry baby they ain't gonna scold me for anything!!! I know that's what you want because, like you said you ain't a baby huh!!! And by the way I am not going away from the neighborhood"
" Where are you going then? Ohh!!! I guess I kno…w, to see your childhood love right? " Miranda said with a conclusive tone.
" And who might that be?" Mirabel said with a suspicious tone.
"Emy of cause!!! or you think I don't know we all know you have a crush on him , you can go okay? I will be fine huh!!!" She said showing her dentals.
"You know too much for a girl of 8, he is just a childhood friend okay?"Mirabel's said rolling her eyes. And with that she walked to her room to have a change of clothes, after that she was going to put something in that tummy of hers.
"I just can't wait to get to frogsmere, to see the beautiful birds and flowers. Or was it just that ? She thought.
