Ten minutes later,MIRABEL and Jeremy arrived at frogsmere.The blow of the breeze combined with the smell of nature made her heart race with thoughts."what was he planning on telling her" she wondered.
"Come over here ya" Jeremy sat tapping on a small rock closer to his.
"What do you want to tell me?" She asked with curiosity laced in her tone.
"Me? He asked with a blink of his long lashes "
"Ye…ah you,you said you wanted to tell me something earlier . Or you've changed your mind? Just like you always do" her end tone was rather showing up her dismay than anger.
"Sorry Puppy, it's just, I don't know it's the right time to tell you" he said staring beyond reality.
"Tell me what?" She asked,defeated by her curiosity rather than annoyance.
"Puppy …. Hmmm he sighed and said later I will tell you I promise. It's just not the right time I think. This time he concluded leaning on an avocado tree.
"Hmm was her response,she had nothing else to say. He won't tell her even if she pushes further. He was so harden hearted. That was one of the reasons she likes him, but was the same reason she dislikes him. His No is always a no , no matter how hard you plead with him he wouldn't give in.
"What are you thinking about Puppy? Don't worry I will tell you at the appropriate time huh. Don't stress yourself so hard" he ended with a Pat on her head.
" Jerry "she called with a serious tone.
"Yes Puppy" he replied with a sweet smile.
"Stop calling me that name " she said angrily.
"Why ?" He asked with a laugh.
" I don't want you to"she replied.
"You don't like it anymore?" He asked with a feigned frown.
" it just makes me want so much , even the things I know I may never have. And it makes me so sad knowing I may never be yours " these were the thoughts that went through her mind.
But she said instead. " We were only kids when you started calling that name , I think it's high time you stopped calling me that . I have a name, and also we ain't kids no more " She said and walked to a rose flower which was just a distance away from the rock she sat.
All these while Jeremy sat staring into thin air. "Is she upset ? While does she wants me to stop calling her puppy?she used to be fond of the name. Or is it because he didn't tell her what he wanted to tell her? Well should he just tell her?
She would eventually find out later on. He wouldn't, the atmosphere was so peaceful and it didn't call for an uproar of any such that would disturb it's peace.
"Okay you don't want me to call you Puppy, then don't also call me Jerry. I am not Jerry but Jeremy okay?"
"It's just an abbreviation of your name silly. Puppy isn't my name okay?" She said plucking a flower from the rose flower.
"Whatever let's just forget about that. I won't stop calling you Puppy and that's my decision . So because I didn't tell you about what I wanted to tell you you don't want me to call you Puppy that isn't fair huh". He said taking the rose from her hand and put it on her dark hair.
"I still can't stop wondering why you dye your hair, the gold color looks so perfect on you. Gold hair, olive eyes what a perfect combination " he said staring at her hair than her eyes.
"I don't care about your opinions okay? I love my hair being black " she said in a form of retaliation.
" We ain't having a brawl are we?" This time he he really confused.
"No we ain't,just keep your opinions to yourself that's all" she said taking off the rose he had earlier placed on her hair.
" Hmm okay I willl, but to an extent . So how about Mic? Is he still disturbing you to date him?" He asked feeling uneasy. He wondered if he was going to get an answer, he shouldn't have asked .This wasn't the right time to.
"Hmm she sighed, while do you ask? Anyways I have made my decision, and I think you are gonna like it" she said with a smile.
