Inside the elven council Hall
Everyone had their gazes fixed on the traitor before them. The empress herself was in doubt, how was it possible that the girl was the traitor, she walked over to the palace herself without anyone forcing her and came to report about the impending disaster.
"Old man,do you mean she is the traitor?" The empress asked as the other eight members were looking at Marlene in disgust.
"there's no way I'd betray our elven race" with tears in her eyes Marlene looked towards the empress for support, she wouldn't have come here if she were the traitor.
"What?...who said she was the traitor to the kingdom" the eccentric sage said pulling his beards,
"..." The whole room turned silent once again. 'This old man ' everyone thought the same at once.
"What I meant to say is that, the demons have implanted a sort of
This shocked Marlene, she thought....she thought she escaped by luck or chance. To think she led the enemies here..... She couldn't help but look down in guilt, she was the entire reason this war was going to happen. The reason the disaster was able to locate them...this pained her deeply
"It still means she's the reason that the demons found us" the man with the sharp voice insisted. Sir. Sanguines was still in doubt about the girl's loyalty.
"I second sir. Sanguines, she is still the reason the war has come this sudden and unexpectedly." The man in royal blue clothes supported the noble this time.
Meanwhile the old sage looked at everyone's faces in the room, lasting a bit longer on the blue robed noble,he said " it was all planned meticulously by the traitor, the person has to be a great mastermind that even my ability can't see who the person is,but what I can say is that..." Looking at the empress face that was cold and indifferent,he said "the enemies will be here in three days, that's all we have to prepare for battle your majesty" . The sage's job was done, after all,he wasn't one who would dilly-dally around ,with a slam of the staff in his hand he disappeared from his spot.
The elf empress was now looking to the remaining seated Nobles and said "the announcement of war will be done after this meeting, general Diane, prepare the legion armies immediately mainly for defense, Liam set up the kingdom barrier to the highest point, Sanguines help the general and devise counter tactics for the invading enemies, since this is our home, we've a bigger advantage. The rest of you are expected to help in your own way and make sure the civilians do not panic, those who can't fight should be kept at a safe location with enough food until the war is over...and incase we lose, make sure they have a path of escape " the empress said solemnly.
With that the entire elven race began to prepare in other to defend their home, the empress did give them a speech, but a short one that said "I would be fighting with the enemies to the death for our homeland,I don't know about all of you,but I hope you all will support with all your might" this made the elven civilians even more determined to show those invaders that they would never give up on their kingdom even in the face of death. They would fight alongside their empress and win this war. This also helped to calm those who panicked when the war announcement was made.
As the orc warships advanced towards the elven kingdom which turned out to be on the opposite side of the world in uncharted lands , the elven kingdom gathered their most skilled warriors and powerful magic users to defend their land. The elves, known for their resourcefulness, devised a plan to exploit the weaknesses of the orc-demon forces. They combined their magical prowess with their technological advancements to create enchanted weapons and traps.
Three days later.....
At dusk, a few elf scouts that were placed at the border to the kingdom and equipped with long range visual equipments could see three small dots approaching their hidden kingdom.* They were here*,the scouts sent messages in encrypted form to the kingdom.
'HORN'
Throughout the somewhat desolate kingdom was the sound of a reverberating horn, this was the sign that the enemies where finally in sight. The Empress now wearing a light enchanted magic robe was standing at the highest floor of the palace, looking outwards she said "it's time...."
On the outskirts of the kingdom was a beautiful woman clad in battle armor and a helmet with intricate design on it, though the armor was not a full set,it had all the important pieces such as breastplate, shoulder guard, boots along with arm wear. Blue lines were glowing on these armor pieces, with a massive looking great sword that was as big as her if not bigger, attached to the back. She stood alone in front of the kingdom, her blue eyes stared at the approaching battle ships with an excited glint. ' almost there' she thought.
Diane was an oddball among the elven race since she was born, the elves were more lean with extreme agility, speed and great at using ranged weapons the most but she was a combat warrior with great physical strength that matched the strongest of orcs. Though not excessively muscular, her toned abs devoid of any blemish told how she never lost a battle ever since she began wielding a sword even when she was small. No one ever knew her ability as she never had anyone pressure her to the point of using all she had to fight. Known by the entire kingdom as 'the crazy battle master' who trained most of the warriors that the kingdom had. In one word she was a battle maniac. Even in this dire times, all she thought was 'finally,.. I'll finally have a great time at last'.
Laughing happily she bellowed "READY!!....." .
