Yves heard the soft thud of the door closed behind him as he came face to face with the person being introduced. Unlike his casually dressed self, Christopher came in a suit practically mirroring his father especially with their similar faces.
The brown haired blue eyed young man stepped forward and extended his hand. "Nice to meet you, I'm Christopher but you can call me Chris.". He plastered his best smile on, looking like a refined gentleman. "My friends call me that."
Despite the composure, Christopher's eyes reflected the excitement in his heart especially when Yves took his hand. This was Yves, a man with sickening good looks and an impressive background.
He shook the entertainment industry without being in it, and earned the attention of girls on a nation wide scale. Being friends with him meant Christopher would also be swimming in women and fame. An excited giggle was at the tip of his tongue that it took a lot of willpower for Christopher to reign it in.
Yves' expressionless face spotted a smirk, his cold grey orbs piercing into Chris' blue ones. The latter felt a shiver down his spine. Could Yves see through his thoughts? Christopher retracted his hand, growing uncomfortable by the man's aura.
"Ah, gentlemen!" Tom announced as he walked in from behind Yves. "I'm sorry to have kept you waiting."
"No need for apologies Tom. There would be chaos if you took a moment to relax", Harold joked earning a smile from Tom.
"Senator Kewl", Tom called out in surprise.
"You know me, sir?" Alex responded with humility.
Tom only chuckled when Harold swooped in. "I guess there's no need for introductions. Tom, I wanted you to meet my good friend Alex. Single dad with a lot on his plate, just like you."
"Just like me", Tom echoed, throwing an amused look at Yves who quirked up one corner of his mouth with a soft scoff.
"I thought it would be nice for all of us to get together. I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner", an oblivious Harold added.
Tom waved a hand of dismissal when Harold turned to Yves. "And you came back after 14 years, you don't have any friends. Christopher is a good boy. I thought you two would get along."
Everyone turned to Yves who had yet to speak. Meeting the expectant gazes, he finally opened his mouth. "Right."
"Still a man of a few words I see", Harold smacked Yves' shoulder good-heartedly.
"Food is ready", Lucia announced with maids following behind her in tow setting the table.
It was then Yves noticed the two girls already seated facing each other. One had long black hair wearing a lacey turtle neck long sleeved dress with a flowy skirt, and her back she had to him was straight.
She pushed her chair back and stood to face everyone. Her docile round face was adorned with clean makeup. She ran her palms on her skirt, subconsciously fixing it, her every move elegant. She was in her early twenties. Her appearance alone easily incited the desire to protect her.
Opposite her was a blond girl, still seated. Unlike the other girl, she had more defined facial features. Her full face of makeup and bright pink dress made her look like an idol. Her manicured fingers moved swiftly on her phone.
Lucia's brows furrowed, the men were approaching the table, and her youngest was still seated. "Lisa."
"Mom,", Lisa grumbled, still fixed on her phone.
"Lisa", Lucia lightly smacked her shoulder.
"Ugh!" She stood up, her dress ridding up from the action. Her oblivious self continued to be on her phone.
"Lisa", the girl opposite her hissed.
"What?" She looked up to glare. She was standing, wasn't she?
The girl discreetly gestured at her dress. A confused Lisa only grew more annoyed. She repeated her signal when Lucia finally caught on.
"You silly girl", Lucia hastily fixed the dress for her, pulling down the hem to it's original mid-thigh length.
Lisa's glare disappeared, now understanding the message. She subconsciously glanced at the men to find one openly gawking at her long legs while the rest seemed to be engrossed in conversation. A frown settled on the girl's features before she resumed looking at her phone.
"Sabrina", Tom greeted with a warm smile, as a maid pulled the head seat for him.
"Good evening, sir. Thank you for having us", Sabrina replied in a soft voice.
"Yes, yes. My, you two have grown. Lisa you're as tall as your sister now", Tom chuckled.
Sabrina gave a graceful smile while no response came from Lisa. Harold felt himself grow embarrassed at the girl engrossed on whatever was happening on her phone.
"Lisa", he hissed.
"My gosh daddy, I'm done. There's a sale and I had to be the first to buy", she put away her phone.
Harold gave an apologetic smile at the other two older men. She took in the unfamiliar yet familiar impressive man settling to the President's right and her eyes sparkled in excitement.
"You must be Claude. Mom said I used to follow you around when I was a kid. I bet the girls would be jealous if they find out I'm close to you, we should totally take a picture for my Instagram", she squealed excitedly before turning her gaze to the other man with a confused expression. "...And this is....?"
Christopher's expression grew dark. Just because he wasn't the president's son doesn't mean he was not well known either. The police shuddered just hearing his name. He was that well known but this girl!!
