" Funny to think that whenever we're at the end of our lives, we have a split second to reflect on how our life has been, the last breath is a terrible experience... I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, seriously!" Such thoughts came from a young boy, his name was Michael before reincarnation. His life was that of a simple novelist boy who believed he could change people through his captivating personality. His tales ended up catching the attention of important people, but that wasn't his focus. He liked the people who listened to his stories...
But as not everything can be simple and happy, he had a very tragic end to his life. At 26 years old, on a day when everything was going wrong, he was supposed to compete in a big fair for novelists. An accident at the museum where everything was supposed to happen led to a collapse of the structures, killing many people, including him... On his deathbed, he cried silently and angrily retorted that the people who had once been touched by his works could no longer continue reading, and according to him, the most important thing for someone was to achieve his dream before dying, which was to discover that someone's life had been changed because of his stories.
"Now, I'm a spirit, I'll wander into infinity," said the boy in a white limbo, floating through nothingness. But soon a melodious voice said to him, "No silly, you're going to reincarnate soon," said the voice with a subtle laugh, causing an exaggerated reaction from Michael's spirit, turning his astral body in all directions, looking for who had said that. "Who said that? Are you the Devil?" he joked, desperate, as it wasn't exactly the most common situation.
The subtle voice then approached him, appearing as a glow of white colors with a spiral focus leading to the center of all energy in white colors, forming a rainbow entering with its divisions into that white mass that was the goddess. " You've been given a new chance, you'll reincarnate in a very good world, I really like it there, and I think your stories can change many people there, but you won't remember this conversation..." said the melodious voice, bringing Michael's astral body floating in the limbo of colors slowly in the air, making him look at his body curiously, trying to understand how it would happen...
"What do you mean I won't remember? What kind of job is this? Aren't you going to help me?" he asked ingeniously as he floated towards the white energy, while everything began to turn whiter and whiter, with the sound of a heavy pendulum clock starting to play slowly emitting a loud "Dong." sound,After a few seconds, a new Dong was heard, and the goddess then asked, "What is the clock so excited to tell us? It seems like it's wanting to say something to you," said the melodious voice of the goddess, as if she were curious. Little did she realize that Michael was coming towards her like a shooting star with a huge excited smile and bulging eyes. "I don't know how to stop this, goddess!" he shouted, hitting the white energy with a powerful Dong echoing one last time...
All the light then began to change to a field slowly surrounded by small animals (rabbits, frogs, and squirrels) running from the sudden fall in the field. There were two bodies lying there, a young semi-adult boy wearing simple cloth clothes with green hair and light eyes, and a very beautiful young girl, with sparkling eyes and a surprised expression. "What happened?" asked the goddess looking at her young girl body. "Did I reincarnate with you too? Oh no!" she said in a scared expression, trying to put her hands together and perform tricks with her hands, leaving only small sparks with a deflating balloon sound coming out of her fingers.
"You're making a funny face," said Michael pointing at her in a teasing manner, while she took a few seconds until her mind accepted what had happened. She then ran to him and shook him furiously, saying, "How did you do this? You made me get a girl's body!" exclaimed the goddess furiously, causing a wallet to fall from the boy's clothes, making both of them look with various droplets at the leather wallet on the ground. "Can I, can I pick it up? Are you still, you know, holding me?" he said still anxious with the whole scene...
The goddess then let him go, and he picked up the document, opening the wallet. A photo of him seemed to be there, with a name on a simple document, an identification from a realm called "Asteria," the name on the identification was "Morrigan Zi'o." "Who is Morrigan?" asked the boy as the goddess answered angrily, "It's you, dummy," she said stepping away and squatting down, holding onto her knees, crying in a comical tone. "I turned into a little girl again... I feel so weird, I want my woman's body back!" she seemed to copiously shed an entire rainbow of tears from her face in both directions, and one of those arcs of water soaked Morrigan completely, as he would be known from then on...
"Here it talks about Asteria, it must be nearby..." he said trying to shield himself from the goddess's tears, pushing with his arms like a shield. "We can try to find out what happened to you, maybe someone knows... what name did you get?" he asked, making her suddenly stop and start trying to find her identity, but she couldn't find it. "I don't have one of these... I'm a goddess, I shouldn't have reincarnated... the runes deceived me..." Morrigan seemed to be quite confused, but he put his hand on her shoulder. "Come on, let's try to solve your problem, I'll help you," he said charismatic, making her look at him with a hopeful, static, and clear gaze in the daylight. "Where are we going? Do you know this place?" asked the curious goddess, all her light fading when he answered...
"I have no idea, but we'll find out, goddess..."
