After the sound of both bodies colliding, Morrigan fell backward, glowing in a mysterious blue-white color, with the sword held forward, and his eyes illuminated by the light of the battle, the creature surrounded by a yellow aura all over its body seemed to emit a loud noise, kicking up dust, the goddess, incredulous at what she saw, managed to gather strength to stand up and watch, still perplexed.
The sounds in Morrigan's head seemed to echo all around, his heart racing, his mind wandering to various places, all he could think was "I'll give my best... Everything!" he said this while his sword position changed, even without awareness, it was the confidence passed that changed his expression, making the creature take a step back, eyebrows furrowed, his body leaping toward the creature...
A resounding sword blow struck the giant insect's shell, the sword's metal buzzing with the aura of the boy now seemed more beautiful, its white and golden hilt shining with blue, giving the image of a true knight ready to die for the cause, the creature in a voracious attack with one of its pincers, pushed Morrigan away as he defended himself with his arms, creating sounds of impact, but now, they didn't throw him off, it was as if all that energy simply made him unbeatable...
Another attack from the boy toward the creature with low cuts caused the insectoid enemy to leap back, in the distance, as soon as it hit the ground, the air of its speed shifted, and Morrigan was hit with the monster's body pushing him drastically backward, however, with the sword against the creature's body, the impact of the body caused the sword to partially pierce the monster's shell...
Morrigan then performed a high but common jump, landing on top of the creature with the sword high, descending his body against it, missing the attack as the creature seemed to leap away, despite everything, it was a fast enemy...
"He... He's fighting the monster on equal terms..." Thought the goddess amazed as the boy faced the monster without even taking his eyes off it... Lavi, Eric's sister, said, "Can you really defeat him, Knight-san?" with her brother's body supported on her legs, Morrigan then turned around, with a bright smile, still filled with that mysterious aura and then said... "I said I would defeat him, didn't I? Even if I can't, I'll try until my last breath..." he said this, returning to the direction of the creature...
Two attacks now, from left to right, and another from bottom to top, with both hands firm on the sword, he began to feel pain in his wrists, however, clenching his lips, he was hit by the creature, one of its legs hitting him on the shoulder, and he was pushed aside... Morrigan knew he didn't have the physical strength to pierce the creature, but he needed to keep trying, the more he tried, the more chances he would have of succeeding...
The Monster then seemed to simply advance against him relentlessly, direct leaps, using its front legs to try to trap him, several attempts to bite occurred, with the boy jumping sideways and backward, alternating directions, always grazing the blade against the creature's shell, emitting sounds almost metallic but not coming from the sword, but from the crust that was the insect's carapace...
As the insect seemed to get used to the boy's movements, it then filled itself with that yellow energy, and with a charge, it hit from above falling on Morrigan's body... when the sound of the insect's body hitting the ground was heard, it was possible to see the goddess's cry, and Lavi's "Knight-San!" "Morrigan!!".
Despite everything, when the creature leaped back to see its enemy dead, Morrigan seemed to be very full of blood, still surrounded by his Aura, he then spat out that bubble of blood covering his simple peasant clothes...
"He's still very powerful... I can't defeat him without being stronger or faster..." he thought to himself, as the sword began to glow slowly, and then he heard a male voice speaking around him... "Have you given your all? And just that? Maybe I judged you prematurely... You won't hurt a monster with a heart full of darkness, if your heart isn't full of light..."
Morrigan then sat down slowly and then looked at the monstrous cricket in front of him, and then brought the sword together in front of his body... "Did the Sword speak to me? Is that how it's supposed to work? The day is full of surprises..." he wondered laughingly as he bled, with one eye low from the fight, he then stood up arching his back, cracking some displaced bones, and then put the sword forward, taking a deep breath with both hands on it... "So, I'll use everything... If I die now, I'll die with my heart stopping...".
After a few seconds, the boy then felt the night breeze in place, seeing that the wind was strong, with both hands on the sword's hilt, he focused on that sensation, hearing two hearts, inside his body, one of the hearts was his human heart, and the other, was the pulse of his Aura, when both things began to reach an identical heartbeat, a shiver ran down his spine, and a clear white color began to visibly flow between his arms, traveling his body to his sword, when from both arms it reached the center, on the sword's hilt, it lit up shining white...
"Here it goes... Everything!" He said this seeing the creature advancing against him in a leap, and this time a barrage of attacks would happen, contested between him and the creature, a cut from top to bottom, opening a line in the creature's crust, it then hit the boy's shoulders, he then retaliated with another cut on one of the front legs, partially cutting it, now the attacks seemed to be starting to take effect...
The sounds of pain from the creature began to echo as the dance of cuts, and blows from the creature against Morrigan met, the creature's green blood then began to flow as he cut, from side to side, from top to bottom...
In a last moment, surrounded by blood and determination, he then realized the creature's bite, without strength in his arms, he gave his last breath, a direct attack against the monster's skull, with both hands together, from back to front, unable to speak or move, the creature advanced to bite him... The Skull then perfectly entered against the sword...
The Monster's body then suddenly stopped with the sounds, breathing, strength, and began to fall against the boy's sword, then against the ground, as the day dawned on the horizon gradually...
"You... You won... Morrigan..." the goddess who had watched the whole fight amazed knelt on the balcony where everything had started, while Morrigan, static holding the sword against the creature's head, began to slowly lose the glow of the Aura, and his eyes went unconscious... "You are really very brave... Morrigan Zi'o, I hope to know more about you.." said the same voice of the sword that had spoken to Zi'o before...
The fight had ended... Zi'o had won the battle, with the goddess approaching him to check if he was okay, she found him unconscious, breathing slowly, he had fallen into a deep sleep after the fight. "Why do I feel this way, why didn't I want him to die... He's just a boy like all the others, why watch this fight... It was so... Cool..." the goddess stared at Morrigan dozing off while standing... as Gauvan's family approached, they would take the boy inside to treat him until he woke up... He was the hero of that family... The Knight Morrigan, from Asteria.
