I politely requested the teacher, "Please take care of him." Bending down to meet my son's gaze, "I'll pick you up later, sweetie," I added, planting a gentle kiss on his cheeks.
"Mum, stop doing this," he protested, feeling shy in front of his classmates.
The teacher gave me a knowing smile and whispered, "Some kids don't like to be kissed by their parents in front of others because they might get teased."
I nodded and smiled in understanding. Unlike most kids, my son was a little bit more formal and mature. Some people remarked that his way of thinking and expressing himself resembled that of an adult rather than a child. While I felt a sense of pride, I also desired for him to embrace behaviors suitable for his age.
As I drove towards the headquarters building, I observed that the construction was progressing smoothly, without any delays. It was reassuring to see that things were falling into place according to my envisioned plans.
