"Beep beep beep... beep beep beep..."
At three o'clock, the alarm clock went off on time.
Su Liuying was awakened by the alarm; she reached out to shut it off and took a deep breath with her eyes closed as she sat up in bed.
After such a long sleep, she felt her body was no longer as sore.
Last night's events were like a dream, and when the dream ended, life had to go on.
She decided to treat everything from yesterday as a secret, a sudden derailment, to be buried forever in her heart.
But what Su Liuying seemed to misunderstand was that yesterday, it was she who could not see clearly, while the other person had very good vision!
She wanted it to be a secret, but it didn't seem to be an easy thing when he was involved. Quan Tianyou was not someone she could afford to provoke, much less someone she could hide from after provoking!
"Oh, I need to hurry up!"
Su Liuying quickly got up, freshened up, and made herself some noodles to eat.
She hadn't eaten anything since yesterday and was starving!
"Full at last! I've regained my full fighting strength!"
Su Liuying made a YES gesture to herself in the mirror, cheering herself on.
She had neither the time nor the mood to continue mourning over her lost first kiss and first time; some things, once gone, were gone for good, and it was useless to dwell on them.
She shook her head to drive away her worries and became as busy as a spinning top once again.
--
"Hey! Liuying!"
As soon as she entered the martial arts dojo, the eldest senior brother Zhang Hao called out to her; it seemed he had been waiting for her.
Zhang Hao was the dojo master's son, a few years older than her, and he started helping out at the dojo right after graduating from university.
"Hey, eldest senior brother!"
Su Liuying turned around and saw him leaning on the counter inside, smiling at her.
Zhang Hao had helped her a lot. Since she had been working part-time in high school, he had been assisting her.
"Come here, come here!"
He waved her over, and although she felt it was strange, she still went to him.
"Eldest senior brother, did you want to see me about something?"
"Liuying, you've graduated too. Have you considered staying on to work at the dojo?"
Zhang Hao looked at Su Liuying with hopeful eyes; he had decided to help at the dojo right after graduating just so he could see her every day.
"Oh, eldest senior brother, I studied design, and I want to find a job in my field," Su Liuying said with a smile as she adjusted her glasses.
After all, it was a field she had studied for four years; she couldn't waste that.
"Oh, have you taken a fancy to any company yet?"
Disappointment was evident on Zhang Hao's face. He had hoped that she would stay and work at the dojo after her graduation, so he could be with her every day.
"Hmm, I've applied to several companies and am currently waiting for interview notifications."
Su Liuying looked at Zhang Hao, knowing he was disappointed and why.
In fact, she could feel Zhang Hao's affection for her, but she didn't feel that same thrill for him, so she simply pretended not to notice.
"Eldest senior brother, I'm going to change into my uniform," Su Liuying said, waving at Zhang Hao before heading to the changing room.
"Hey, hey, Liuying! Liuying!..."
Zhang Hao called after her, but she seemed not to hear, continuing on her way.
He watched her departing figure with immense frustration. He had liked her for a long time, but had never summoned the courage to confess. Now, as she had graduated and was about to job hunt, it meant she might leave the dojo, and he still couldn't bring himself to say anything.
