Eva paused at his words, but rapidly picked herself up, "You are right. Unlike you, I'm wasn't a loved child," it all she said and turned mute.
No additional words left either of their lips. As soon as the music end, they both took a huge step back away from the other as if the other was on fire.
It was the end of the dance, they both when their separate way.
Eva went to Alicia and Noah who was a distant away from her. Alicia was taking support on to Noah shoulder and the later was holding her by the waist.
"Someone have exaggerated her alcohol consumption," Eva mumbled as she got closer to them.
Noah frowned taking in the sight of her went she arrive in front of them,
"I think is time for us to call it a night. You two ladies are too drunk to stay," he said while making Alicia stand straight for it not to appear like she was drunk.
Eva frowned, "I'm not drunk" she protested but sure, she did want to go home, drunk or not.
Noah eyes narrowed, "You definitely are. You always drink when you are anxious or nervous and I know very well how you have being feeling tonight."
Eva kept her mouth closed, for it was true. It was a bad habit of hers which Noah doesn't like but let it be because it wasn't often she was anxious enough for her to drink too much. Today was a special night.
"I'm sure you are unable to tell me how much you drank tonight. On an empty stomach I suppose," he added.
He stay silent, waiting for her to tell him he was wrong but when no words left her lips, he knew it was bad. He hate it when she does that, not eating. He just hope she ate something during the whole day.
"We are definitely going back," he said gesturing her to take his left arms, which she gladly did.
"You are surrounded by the most beautiful lady in the room. You should be honor Noah," Alicia proclaimed. Hardly walking straight.
She drank way above her limits, something she never does. The two friends was made a mental note to ask her what was going on for her to be so irresponsible. It wasn't a place to get drunk.
"Two beautiful ladies? I only see one Farewell here" Noah fainted.
Alicia glared, "Continue like this and I will puke on the beautiful pair of shoes"
"I don't worry about that. You have enough money to buy even more pairs"
"Shut up or I will be the one to puke on you" Eva induced.
"Why are you ladies in bad mood? It was such a fine night"
"For you!" they both argued. "You had the attention of all ladies for you" Alicia added.
"Who can resist this handsome face of mine?" he batted his eyelashes. They laughed as they continue their way out.
A distant away for them, two pair of eyes was watching their interaction. The green pair was staring coldly at the departing group of friend while the blue pair was watching them with a trouble expression. Once they were out of their sight, Zach turned to face Klaus,
"What do you think?" he asked Klaus who was still staring in the direction where the group of friends once stood.
"It's too early for me to say something," he said, giving his attention to his friend.
"Do you really think Eva could be able of such a thing? It's Eva we are talking about! She can't never." The fact that Klaus could even think a minutes that it was true baffled him. There were no way it was Eva.
"Don't be so sure of you"
"It's Eva we are talking about here. She can't"
"The same Eva we thought could never hurt us? Sure she can't, just look at us." He rolled his eyes. They were the evidences that with her, everything was possible.
Zach face sadden at the fact. She did after all hurt them when he could swore she could never do that. Was he trusting her too much?
"What I know is that I knows nothing about her," Klaus made himself clear. He learnt it the hard way.
"She could be innocent then fine, so be it but I won't blindly believe in her anymore," he added.
"And if you found it be the truth, what will you do?" Zach asked the question for the nth time to Klaus, since they got the news. He already know what he would do but wasn't sure about his friend.
"Nothing will change. You know how I feel about her. It will only tell me more about who she truly is,"
"You are wrong though, she can't," Zach insisted. Nothing could ever make him believes otherwise.
"What are you trying to say? That Melissa is lying? Why would she do that?"
"Not that she is lying but she must have wrongly see. What I also found strange in this is the fact she waited this long to tell us about it,"
"You got a point in here but it won't hurt for us to investigate further in this," Klaus said.
"Won't hurt huh?" somehow, he was doubtful of that. No matter what they found, it would hurt either way.
If it turn out to be true, Eva being able of such an atrocity would be devastating and if it turn out to be false, it would mean Melissa lied to them, and main question would be why. Either way, thing would change and not in a good way.

Noah dropped her off at her apartment building and after many insistence on her part that she could get to her apartment on her own, he agreed to let her leave by herself. She reached her apartment door with pain, it wasn't easy for her make a step after another. She swiped her door card with a swift motion, graceful to finally be home.
"Abigail!!" she called taking her heels off.
She left it at by the entrance and threw her purse on the sofa. Getting no respond she mumbled to herself "she must have left" making her way to her bed room.
She realised she was drunker than she earlier thought. She wanted to fresh up first but had no energy left in her. She fell on her bed, already crying for the headache she was going to have the next day. A day of work on that. Who had the brilliant idea to organise it on Monday?
