Chapter 7: The Awakening of Fire
After 28 days taking refuge in his room, a deep sleep was Brenner Souka's only refuge. During sleep, he found peace that was denied him in reality. But this peace was interrupted by his father, who woke him up with a harsh order. He needed to get alcohol and cigarettes, and if he refused, there would be no dinner and he would suffer a beating.
Brenner looked at his father with a blank stare, his lifeless expression a mirror of his soul. His father, losing patience, threatened to beat him with his belt if he didn't comply. Brenner got up from the bed, his gaze still blank, and did as he was told. He had nothing else to do now that his sleep had been interrupted.
At the market, he bought everything his father asked for. When he returned, he saw Brianna Alexa standing in the doorway of his house. A mix of anger and hatred took over him, and he picked up a bottle of drink, ready to throw it in the face of the girl who had humiliated him so much. He was determined to end it all right then and there.
But before he could do anything, his brother Jokero appeared. Brenner quickly hid. In the distance, he saw the two kissing passionately. This was a betrayal, an even greater humiliation than he had ever suffered. He saw his brother, the only person he could tolerate, kissing the girl who had humiliated him. This was too much for Brenner.
It was then that something inside him woke up. The power of fire, a flame of unquenchable rage, surged into his hands. He looked at the flames but didn't care. He didn't care that he suddenly had fire in his hands. He only thought about revenge. And the first on the list would be his father.
And so, Chapter 7 ends, leaving Brenner Souka with the fire of rage in his hands, his heart full of revenge and an unwavering determination to make everyone pay.
