Chapter 8: First on the List
At Brenner Souka's house, her father sat in front of the television, the bright light from the screen illuminating his tired face. He looked at his watch and muttered, "Where has that useless idiot of my son gone?" With a heavy sigh, he got up and walked to the door, expecting to see Brenner returning with the groceries.
But what he saw instead was something he never expected. Brenner was there, it's true, but there was something different in his eyes. A burning glow, as if the flames of anger had lit in his gaze. The father was worried, and before he could say anything, Brenner hit him.
He packed a punch like no other. Brenner hit his father in the stomach with such force that it seemed as if the fire in his hands had pierced the man's flesh. The father screamed, a scream of agony that echoed through the house. Blood came out of his mouth when Brenner removed his hand from his stomach. The father fell to the ground, groaning in pain and looking at his son in fear for the first time in his life.
Brenner, his gaze still burning, just smiled. "Let's play, Daddy," he said, closing the door behind him and leaving them alone in the darkness of the house. What followed was a scream of agony and death, a sound that announced the end of Brenner Souka's father.
And so, Chapter 8 ends, leaving Brenner Souka in the dark with the sound of his father's screams echoing in his ears, the flame of revenge still burning in his eyes.
