Chapter 10: The Fire of Vengeance
Jokero, hearing his girlfriend's harrowing screams, ran to see what was happening. When he got there, he found Brianna Alexa dead, her face burned and her eyes open. Before he could scream in despair, Brenner Souka appeared from behind him.
Brenner, undeterred, grabbed his brother's face and eyes and began to burn them with a more intense fire, as if it were the fire of hell itself. Jokero screamed in pain and agony, groaning as the fire consumed his face. Brenner continued to burn mercilessly, until the flesh on Jokero's face was exposed, burned and alive.
After a torturous minute, Brenner let go of Jokero's face, who was still alive, although suffering intensely. Jokero held his burning face, his eyes also burned and blinded. Desperate, he asked Brenner why he was doing this, what he had done wrong.
Brenner, with a look full of bitterness, replied, "Very much." Jokero, fearful, asked what had happened to Brenner, what he had become. Brenner responded, "I have become what you made me to be."
Brenner grabbed his brother's hair, which had not been burned, and pulled, causing Jokero more pain. Brenner said he didn't know what happened to him, but that it didn't matter. Now his only concern was revenge against everyone in this filthy world, full of horrible people, including his own family.
Jokero argued, saying they were not responsible for his actions. Brenner calmly responded that if necessary, he would burn them all. He had nothing left to lose, no family, girlfriend, brother or children to worry about. What was left for him was revenge, hatred and sadness.
Brenner stated that even if Jokero wanted him to change, it was too late. He had chosen his destiny, the path of revenge and villainy. And Jokero, too blind to do anything to stop him, also had no point asking his father for help, who had already been burned by his firepower.
Brenner left Jokero alive, but only so that he could feel the same sense of humiliation, loneliness, sadness, and abandonment that Brenner had experienced. He let go of Jokero's hair, who fell to the ground, crying and moaning in pain, his skin burned and unable to say a single word.
Brenner looked back before leaving, his face free of hatred and uncontrolled anger. He said the last sentence to his brother before disappearing from his life forever: "We meet in hell, brother."
And so, Brenner left, leaving Jokero humiliated, suffering beyond the limits of the human body, with the weight of regret and sadness. Brenner has finally achieved his revenge against those who made him suffer.
