They left the hospital, to the house
Amy intended to stay with her for a while, but she had to pick up some things from her place
Ana pls tell your driver to stop at my place,
i will pick up a few things,
ok, that is fine,
Joe, you heard her,
Yes ma'am
So they stopped at Amy's place.
Amy lives in one of those suburban apartments, which is in a quiet neighborhood, featuring a blend of modern and homely charms. Its exterior is adorned with neatly trimmed lawns and flower beds, creating a welcoming atmosphere. inside, the spacious living room is bathed in natural light, adorned with neutral tones and tasteful decor. The kitchen is well-equipped with modern appliances, and the bedrooms offer a cozy retreat.
Ana stayed in the car, she looked blankly at the place, well she used to live here with Amy before she got married, Amy is from a very well off family, her family is well connected in Silvervale. Her father is the CEO of Mandro, a conglomerate they have a lot of things they are into, from clothing branding down to beverages to home electronics. Amy, is that one child who is different from the rest? You will never know she is a Mandro except she tells you. She prefers the simple life she is living.
Amy and Ana met in high school, and that was how she took Ana as her sister and best friend. She has been there for Ana from when she lost her parents to how she managed to move on. Amy was her solid ground, which she fell on.
Until she met John.
She went in to pick up her things and came out to join them. When they got to the house, Amy called the staff to help around the house, it is usually just them, John, Ana and Ava, they only come to do the chores then retire to the staff's quarters. John is not a big fan of having too many people around the house. the majority of the time, he does the cooking.
Amy made some calls to Sabestain, and he came over to the house so they could put a finishing touch on the funeral arrangement. They sent some notifications to some persons, Ana already made arrangements with the funeral home and also spoke with the directors.
They picked two different casket designs.
Anyone She chooses will be fine by them.
The time was fixed for 9am. That works just fine for them both.
Amy asked Sabestain what about graveside service, Ana is a strong believer of God,
Then we can call a priest, done!
Do we need a reception? Sebastian asked;
Ana won't like that.
She will not be in the mood for such pls cancel.
After taking considerable time to look through all that they have done, Amy decided to call it a night.
I think we are done here, I will inform the lawyer if there are any more bills to take care of, Sebastian said.
We should call it a night, yeah
Goodnight.
In a different room in the same house, Ana stared at John's picture. She stared at it so hard that you could think she would bore a hole in it.
Unknown to her, Amy walked to the master bedroom and carefully lifted up the door knob.
She wanted to make sure Ana was really sleeping. She held a cup of warm milk, and when she called Ana,
That startled her, and the picture frame fell from her hand.
Oh Ana! I am so sorry,
didn't mean to startle you,
Why are you still awake?
Ana turned and looked at her. Amy, she called weakly,
What are you doing here?
I wanted to check on you to make sure you are sleeping.
Here is a cup of warm milk.
She handed the milk to her and went to pick up the picture frame, Amy turned it over and saw John's picture. I was just looking. She closed her eyes and blinked the tears always.
I know I didn't say anything
Amy stayed with her for a while without saying anything.
Amy, why dont you go to bed hmmm, we have a long day ahead of us tomorrow, Ana said,
What about you replied Amy you need to sleep more than anyone.
Please rest, ok,
I will.
"She attempted to stand up…"
What are you doing?
Amy asked her
I wanted to go check on Ava,
don't worry, I will do that on my way to bed. C'mon finish the milk quickly before it gets cold, She urges her.
Ana drank it silently and returned the cup.
Thanks, Amy.
Anything for you hun.
She lay down while Amy covered her with the quilt. She put off her light and checked on Ava.
She was sleeping peacefully.
She went to bed. she mutters to herself. Tomorrow is another day. I hope Ana will be stronger.
The next day
Everyone was busy with preparation for the wake, Amy was everywhere trying to get everyone going before 9am.
Aliana came downstairs by 7:30 a.m., all dressed with a simple black dress that got to her knee-length. she wore black sunglasses and was ready to go with Ava,
Amy! Are you ready? Is everyone ready to go?
If they are not, Ava and I will get going. meet us later, I can't afford to be late.
She called the driver, Joe to take them to the funeral home, they got everything arranged, Cory, Sabestian and the Lawyer David were all there and some other staff.
Exactly 8:30 a.m., visit begins, which allows friends and employees of Johnson Constructions to pay their last respects to Mr John Johnson.
The priest came to say prayers, followed by a sermon.
He talked about the life of Mr Johnson and how he has greatly influenced others positively, and then he concluded with how they should allow their good to outweigh the bad.
A procession to the burial site followed after...
Then was laid to rest.
They left shortly after in the car to return home.
