Roskarl guided me to another teleportation circle, and then we headed to the entrance of another dungeon. It looked like it was more efficient to use those than cast the spell.
The entrance to the city of the orcs was a sight to behold, a testament to their strength and prowess as warriors. Carved into the rugged face of a sheer cliff, the entrance resembled a gaping maw, its jagged edges framed by crude carvings and tribal symbols that spoke of ancient traditions and fierce devotion to their chieftain.
Two towering stone pillars flanked the entrance, their surfaces adorned with crude runes and primitive carvings depicting scenes of battle and conquest. Between them, a massive wooden gate loomed, reinforced with thick iron bands and adorned with the skulls of vanquished foes, their empty sockets serving as a grim warning to any who dared to trespass.
"Hey, look. It resembles me."
As one approached the entrance, the air grew thick with the scent of smoke and blood, mingling with the rhythmic beat of tribal drums that echoed from within. Torches flickered ominously along the cavern walls, casting long shadows that danced with sinister intent.
"Not for long. I am going to disappear now, but I will be watching you, so don't do anything stupid."
"Does everyone here have some insane fetishes? I didn't think that you would be a voyeur, gramps."
Roskarl rolled his eyes, and then he vanished like he had been erased from existence. I couldn't help but shrug, and then I decided to enter the dungeon. After going down for a bit, I soon began to hear some crazy shouts and sounds. Before long, I reached the orcs' city and found a bunch of destroyed makeshift buildings and a bunch of orcs punching each other while others were drinking and eating while watching the show.
"They are worse than I thought."
Some orcs were being punched to the point that their ugly faces were being rearranged even more, and they barely looked like orcs, so that was a pretty violent sport.
Their bodies were covered in coarse, yellow fur, matted and tangled in places as if they had never been touched by the hands of grooming. Thick tufts of hair protruded from their hulking forms, giving them a wild and untamed appearance. Their snouts were elongated and pig-like, ending in moist, twitching nostrils that flared with each labored breath.
Yellow tusks jutted from their gaping maws, stained with the remnants of their recent meal. Malevolent eyes gleamed with a sinister intelligence from beneath heavy brows, their irises a sickly shade of amber that seemed to glow with an unnatural light.
Despite their bestial appearance, there was a cunning in their movements, a predatory grace that belied their grotesque form. With each step, they emitted low, guttural grunts that reverberated through the air. They were wearing some clothes that covered their chests and waists since they had those mammal parts. Despite that, I couldn't see them as intelligent beings… they were wild like beasts.
Before long, some of them noticed me, and then they began to spread the word about me, and soon the whole place stopped to look at me. I ignored them all and just crossed the place in direction to the first floor of the dungeon.
"They are beautiful. I have been looking at them for five hours now."
I chuckled while thinking along those lines… but since I was skeleton, it only looked intimidating since my jaw claked like the way it was supposed to be. Anyways, for some reason, they kept staring at me. Still, they didn't do anything… it seemed that they had heard about the revival of their strongest general, but they didn't know that he was back as a plain skelly.
When I found the entrance to the next floor, I found some corpses of monsters on both sides of the entrance… they were mainly bones, so it was hard to tell what I was going to find there… since there was plenty of blood on the ground, I assumed that the orcs used them as snacks or something.
"They don't keep this place guarded… since I don't have to return to the dungeon, I guess I will grind here for five days and then deal with the orcs. If they cause trouble, making some heads roll should do the trick. The old man said that they follow the strong. Even if they hate me, their nature will be stronger. If that doesn't work, I will just use them as test subjects for Subjugation."
That seemed fair enough… although I felt a bit weird since I decided to follow the vampire Queen's orders without thinking too much about it. In any case, I went down the stairs with my sword in hand, ready to strike down anything that stood in my path… Hopefully, the rules of the first dungeons will be the same there as well, and I will get an item after defeating the boss on the fifth floor.
When I reached the first floor, I soon realized that things would be a bit different there… the corridor was too large, and it resembled a cave as well. Come to think of it, the bones that I saw outside were pretty big, so perhaps something was off.
"Come and get it. You will become rusty in my gun blade."
Before long, emerging from the ground, a massive hairy creature emerged… it was even bigger than the goblin hero. The monster looked like a weird fusion of an orangutan and a rat, and it smelled and looked dirty, like a goblin, too…
