The sudden reprimand interrupted the plea for mercy from the short man and caught the attention of everyone present.
As the crowd turned to look, they saw a man in a black uniform approaching. His gaze swept over them, his brows furrowing slightly, as he coldly repeated, "What's going on here?"
Before anyone else could speak, the short man scrambled over to the uniformed man. "Captain Song! Captain Song, you have to help us!"
Song Ping kicked the short man aside. "Can't you speak properly? What's with all the crying like a woman? How many times do I have to tell you? There's no shortage of water in the base. Su Nian nodded. "Yes."

Hearing Su Nian's words, Song Ping chuckled. Leaving Monkey Four with a dog's life was not tolerance but merely giving him a chance to suffer a bit more. Somehow, his gaze uncontrollably drifted towards the piece of tongue on the ground.
The short man's face turned extremely pale in an instant. Ignoring Monkey Four on the ground, he squeezed into the crowd and disappeared in no time.
