Chapter 24 - Trina

Klaus's POV

She looked around to see the dead creatures on the ground as I wanted to say things to her but I couldn't get any word out to her.

"You did all of this?" Was the question she popped as I sighed before nodding. "You're really powerful to have taken down these bears."

I was taken aback by her words. I had expected her to insult me and call me names but she didn't do that.

"I thought you called me weak before."

"Because you called bears. After watching what they could do, I came to the conclusion that seeing you fight mystical bears is a sight to see."

I smiled after hearing that and pointed to the lands before us as we walked around exploring the area.

After that, we both headed back to the castle where I waved to her and started for my chambers.

I enjoyed my time with her but I knew I had to be careful or I would start having feelings for her. That was something I didn't want to happen.

I had a path to go through. This was not the time to be distracted.

For the days that followed, I turned it into a routine and everyday I would go to her room to knock on her door and we would go out together, exploring the night city together.

After a few days I dropped that and waited for her to meet me by the garden every evening where we would have small talk about a ton of things.

We even sparred which was hilarious seeing as she was without powers.

She wasn't a stranger to a fight and even as a powerless vampire I had the urge to see her fight.

"I can take down creatures you wouldn't even be able to stand before," she laughed as I reered my head in laughter.

It was lighter to talk to her now. We talked about a ton of things and didn't care if the guards stared at us. We were in a world we had created.

"No you can't. It shows in your stance. Even with your powers you would still lose against me."

That I was sure of but since she was still hellbent on being stubborn, I was ready to put her in her place.

"How about you and I fight right now and I teach you a few things about being a vampire."

I laughed at her joke but I was down for that. She was about to be humiliated.

I gestured for her to attack me which she did.

She started with a punch to my face but I watched her in slow motion.

She was too slow and I was too fast.

I knew what would happen if her fist met my face. She would be in pain and I would be sorry for causing her pain.

With a sigh, I rolled along with her punch and moved out of her way, holding her in place before she would fall.

"Why did you move out of the way?" She asked in anger as I looked into her eyes.

They were pretty. I would not lie.

"To protect you," I said. "If you got hurt you would blame me for it."

That had her frowning.

She pushed against my chest which didn't budge me but instead pushed her back.

She started for the castle as I felt like I had made a very terrible mistake and I called for her but she refused to turn.

There was only one way to handle this. As a strong vampire, she had an ego the size of the entire kingdom.

I had to appease her somehow. This was something that was within my power and I was ready to do that for her.

"What if I get you an opponent which whom you can fight with? Is that okay for you?"

She stopped midway, turning to me and with anger in her eyes, started towards me.

"Do you think I'm weak?" She growled, getting to me as she pushed against me again.

"I don't…"

"First you take away my powers and then you laugh about it."

"We were having such a good time. How was I supposed to know that it would backfire like this? I'm sorry."

"Get me my powers back."

"I can't."

"Then you have no right to talk about it. It is my pain to bring up and not yours. I used to be strong. I used to…"

She bit her lower lip as tears rolled down her chin, falling to the ground which had me feeling sorry for her. I had really messed up.

I needed to make up for it. There was only one way to do it and I was willing to be on her good side once again.

"How about I give you an opponent you would really want to spar with?" I suggested as she tilted her head.

"Who?"

And that ended our argument as I led her into the sparring room where Gail was training a couple of warriors.

He eyed her and looked at me with confused glare.

"It's okay Gail," I said to the man. "Get the men out of here and release the warrior who had defiled my order in cell fifty five."

The man bowed, yelling for everyone to leave as soon enough, I was alone with the woman who walked around the room.

"Who's in cell fifty five?" She was curious as to who I was talking about but I knew she would know when the person arrived.

"Don't you worry about that. It's a little surprise I put together for you."

She shrugged and walked around the room, looking at the pictures on the wall with admiration at the pictures of sweaty warriors revealing their fangs with their opponents on the floor.

"Here is the prisoner," Gail said to me as the prisoner stepped into the hall which had Mara gasping.

"Him?!" She yelled as I gave a heavy sigh.
