Fiona's heart thudded in her ribcage. Her teary eyes gaze at her aunt and her husband. She couldn't believe the day was finally near.
The dreaded night she has tried to escape from all her life. The nightmare she had tried to wake up from.
Right now, she just wanted to run away. She wanted to wake up from this cruel reality, but no matter how much she fights, she couldn't overpower the two people in the room with her.
A slap landed on her cheek which let her realize there was no freedom. The angry voice of her aunt rang in her ears, slicing through her skin like a dagger, and she swallowed the lump in her throat.
"This is your fate, Fiona!" Fiona's aunt, Camille, yelled. Her words were like venom to Fiona.
Aunt Camille slapped Fiona again when she saw her struggling to break free from her hold.
