Isabella was busy getting ready to meet some of the merchants at the market when she heard the news about Rayne going to the courtroom.
Isabella hurriedly got dressed and went to the courtroom. Rayne has been avoiding her after the intense lovemaking they had which bruised her.
But today, she wouldn't hesitate to hug him when she saw him.
However, when she got to the courtroom, the ministers had already left, including Rayne. She was about to give up when she saw Rayne walking towards the tower with Harold.
She raised her skirt and ran towards them. The moment she saw Rayne about to leave, she jumped into his arms before he could stop her.
"Rayne," Isabella murmured as she wrapped her arms around Rayne's neck, hugging him tight.
Rayne breathed in Isabella's scent but she didn't smell like Selene in any way. He didn't know he suddenly grew hatred for Isabella. Even his wolf felt the same.
