Lily's POV
My breath caught in my chest as my gaze shifted from my sister to Chris.
"What are you doing here?" I asked her
"I thought you were supposed to be in school," I said very confused
"I'm cane back not too long ago... we're on a break so....yeah" Cathy said, her voice growing steadier as she spoke. "Actually when I was still in school I got a call from an unknown number telling me that mum's condition got worse and she was taken to the hospital for treatment." she paused.
My eyes widened in disbelief. "Huh?" I said confused. "What are you even talking about?"
"Yeah I was really confused...I kept wondering why you didn't tell me that mum's condition got worse,"
"Well...." I trailed off sounding nervous, "You were in school...I wanted you to focus on your studies and not worry about mum," I shrugged.
"And that's why you got married to him?" Cathy wrinkled her forehead.
