Chapter 3 - Chapter 2- Future

In this new nice atmosphere Shringar was well aware that her past holds tragic memories and that tragedy deserves a resolution which needs to be solved in the future and it is not the right time to be happy. Instead it is the time to be prepared for what is their for her in the near future. Elina being an extrovert started sharing her reason to be hear, "One of my friend called Dorothy is having counseling under the famous dr. Vanessa. She has PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder)." "Wait did something bad happened to her?" Sanskar interjected with concern.

Elina explained, "Dorothy works in the Knights Delivery service as a part-timer. A few weeks ago Dorothy went to a lady's house for delivery. The lady appreciated her for her good work in such an young age and gave her a glass of water. They even had a little chat and Dorothy went out. But Lights of that entire area went off that time and also Dorothy forgot her mobile at the Lady's house so she went back. To her horror she witnessed that lady's murder with her own eyes and almost got killed by the culprit." Shringar and Sanskar both got very shocked to hear this entire incident. Shringar asked; "What happened to the culprit?" "Police are still searching for him." Elina said sadly. She continued, "From Dr. Vanessa I got the pamphlet of this counseling session. That is why I am here." Both Shringar and Sanskar hoped for Dorothy's well being and justice for the lady. Then Sanskar started sharing his story. "My mother died during an accident when I was around three to four years old. My father always had the feeling that my mother was murdered. That was not a mere accident. When I turned eight my father got killed by a very mysterious man. That man was wearing a mask and his dress was like... Violet or I guess ultra violet coloured. Very distinctive. The only thing I remember is that he was asking for something called "Enigma". It was a rainy night and I was in my father's study room. My father asked me not to open the door when the guest comes. But I still opened it a little to see the situation and he….." Shringar said, "You do not have to push yourself hard…" Suddenly Sanskar got his energy back and said, "I live with my uncle and aunty now. I took a lot of counseling sessions but that night still haunts me. So whenever I get free counseling opportunities, I grab it." Both Elina and Shringar knew that it was hurting him. But Sanskar and Elina were eager to know Shringar's story and with a bit of hesitation she explained her situation to them and the three of them realized that murder was constant in their cases and they all went through some sort of tragedy. Specially Shringar and Sanskar. "Enigma" That word echoed through Shringar's mind as if she heard about it before. Not just as a mere word, but that word has some sort of significance.

After some days they became good friends and Shringar knew that their similar experiences and sorrows made them close this early. Though Shringar wanted to meet Dorothy a lot. Nitish noticed Shringar filled with thoughts and approached her. "What is wrong with you dear? I thought you were opening up with your new company." Shringar smiled. She feels in debt to Nitish since he is a busy man and even after that he gave Shringar shelter and company both. She feels guilty to be a burden on him. Nitish got a phone call from the maid who told him that she can not come to their house for work for a few days because her son's board examination. Shringar knew that Nitish have been living alone all these years and is an independent man. Suddenly having another member in the family might be a bit problematic to him specially the maid is not coming. "Why don't I manage the cooking and you manage the cleaning?" Shringar offered help. Nitish said, "No Shringar you might not need vitals monitor or saline anymore but you are still on medicines. I can not possibly allow my patient to work." But Shringar insisted and told him, "But as a family member this is my responsibility to help another family member of mine. Also my medicines are working well so I think I am capable of doing some work other than studying at this point. Also…. I have been wondering about speaking to the police now." Nitish's eyes widened. "But I already told them that you do not remember anything. Yeah, but they still want to speak to you… But Shringar are you sure of it?" He asked.

Shringar nodded. On the next day Shringar started making lunch and Nitish started cleaning the house. The T.V was on with ABZ news. "Breaking new! "Swara" is now being protected with ultra security. The Prime Minister asked for extreme security due to enigmatic reasons for our enigmatic "Swara" which holds the world's future." said the journalist. Hearing 'enigmatic' Shringar looked at the T.V screen. She saw the most magical ball of light inside a transparent ball which holds the light without hesitation. It was kept inside the Indian National Museum. Shringar asked with curiosity, "What is this ball of light… which is called "Swara" Nitish? Is it something related to the balance of earth?" Nitish explained, "Well yes. You seem to remember this. This got discovered around seven to eight years ago. It is maintaining the earth's balance as well as the peace of all kinds. Well this is a basic information and you are suppose to remember basic details, so I guess it is natural that you still remember." Shringar feels so familiar with "Swara" for some reason.

Elina went to meet her friend Dorothy. She noticed a police van in front of her house. She entered the house and officer Rani and Officer Prakash noticed her and then went back to questioning. 'Seems like Dorothy is able to talk about that night properly now.' Elina thought to herself. Officer Prakash asks, "Can you tell us more about that night. We know that you already told us about it but we need to be aware of minor details as well. Did you see the culprit's face?". "No…. The culprit was wearing a mask… The lights were out too…" Dorothy said with all her courage. Officer Rani asked, "Was the victim Miss. Rashmika Sen was in a hurry when you were delivering her parcel? Or any sort of worry on her face?" Dorothy answered, "No… She was talking to me normally… the parcel was uncalled for her though…. She had no idea about the parcel and the sender." Officer Prakash said, "Yes, we searched for the sender, Ragini Tandon. And we are still searching for her whereabouts. But… we could not find any clue yet." "Is Ragini the main suspect?" Dorothy's mother asked. "No, this Ragini person is definitely involved but she is not the main suspect of the murder. According to your daughter the culprit is a man. A boy named Lalit Roy of around sixteen years old saw a similar man on that road. In fact Lalit was actually following the man because a similar ultra violet dressed man killed his younger sister few months ago. So when he saw that costume he followed him. But he could not follow him for long since the lights of that entire area went off that time." Elina really got shocked to hear it all. Officer Rani started, "There is another case which is the recent most I can say. Which happened a few weeks ago. There is only one survivor which is the girl named Shringar." The named echoed through Elina's mind. Officer Rani continued, "There was a car with three people dressed in ultra violet colored dress. But their was another person who was holding a sledge hammer full of blood. When the police spotted them in that family's guesthouse they drove off. The whole family was killed in that guesthouse but the girl was still alive somehow. She lost her memories but she is still willing to talk to us today."

The police reached Nitish's house. Nitish welcomed them and said, "We could have come." Officer Rani said, "Yes, but she still has not recovered completely and we know you doctor. You are very strict when it comes to your patients."

Shringar came out of her room with a bit of nervousness. Officer Prakash asked her to feel comfortable. Officer Rani started with her questions, "Do you remember anything from your past or that day?" Shringar replied, "I can not remember anything from my past, but has some fragment of that night in my mind. I saw a man killing my family with a sledge hammer. I was too tired and was in immense pain myself. So I could not see his face. But there is something that I remember about that man is his eyes. It was too cold. Also I could remember something about my past a few days ago." Officer Rani started, "Please. If you feel uncomfortable telling us all these then you can stop." Shringar said, "No ma'am I am fine because I do not have any memory of my past and family. But there is something that I remember is "Enigma"… It is a code name for something which my father used to talk about in phone calls. But I can not remember anything else." "Enigma….?" said both the officers. "Are you sure about it Shringar?" Nitish asked. Shringar answered with certainty, "Yes, I am evident."
