"We don't really know, but there are rumors that say these birds originated from Ruzzia and Jamaz."
"I don't believe rumors," Ryan responded as he opened up his ears to listen to the birds sing.
"Walking human, don't you dare fall asleep!
If you do, we'll eat up all of your peace…
Ryan laughed, "These birds are warning us not to sleep."
"What did they say?" Lynnette asked.
"They said they'll eat our peace if we sleep!" Ryan laughed even more.
"I think they meant my peace. You aren't human."
"Oh! Right!" Ryan chuckled, "Sorry…"
"Walking human, don't you dare take a nap!
If you do, we'll give you many slaps…"
Ryan decided to shut his ears and proceed with his journey out of this place. They finally spotted the gate which was several meters away from them. It was loaded with Terrorists as well as tanks, and other war-like techs! The gate was about 10 feet tall and so were the surrounding wall.
"How are we going to leave? It's heavily guarded," Lynnette said to Ryan.
"We'll wait for now. An opportunity should arise," Ryan replied as he gazed sternly at the gate.
A rat ran out from the nearby bushes, but before it could run past him, Ryan used his crab-like legs and caught it by its tail. The rat moved its feet more rigidly than before, but it couldn't get itself out of Ryan's grip. After several moments of trying to free itself, the rat finally gave up and turned to face Ryan, "What do you want?"
"I want to know if there is another way out of here," Ryan answered the rat.
Lynnette found the scene to be quite funny and interesting. At first, she did not believe Ryan when he said that he could understand animals – rather, she remained oblivious to it. But after witnessing it happen herself, she had no other alternative but to believe the unnatural fact that he could communicate with animals
"What's in it for me?" The rat folded its arms with a grin.
"What's in it for you is that I don't kill you. Now, How do I get out of here?" Ryan glared at the rat.
The rat shivered in fear before retorting, "There is a small tunnel by the east. You can get out of here by following that tunnel."
"What did it say?" Lynnette asked. She was still shocked by the fact that Ryan could talk to animals.
"It said that there is a small tunnel by the east. That tunnel is our way out of here."
"Good! Let's go." Lynnette stood up and was ready to leave.
"Wait!" Ryan replied with his gaze still on the rat. "Is that all?"
"Yes… That's all. So, can you please let me go now?"
"No, not yet. You have to escort us out first. What if the tunnel was a trap?" Ryan and Lynnette headed towards east with the rat leading them there. The rat shivered in fear as it moved on all fours. It developed the thought of running away, but it was sure Ryan would kill it if it made a move. They reached the tunnel in less than five minutes.
The tunnel was located in a secluded part of the Terrorists zone. The rat, Ryan and Lynnette all crawled into the tunnel. It was wide enough to fit a human given that the human was small figured and crawled on all fours. In the tunnel, permeated a very annoying smell.
"What smells like that?" Lynnette asked with a frown.
"This is where all the terrorists drop their shits." The rat replied. "Smells annoying, right? Don't worry, you'll get used to it."
"It's just the smell of Terrorists poop. Don't worry, you'll get used to it," Ryan chuckled.
"I don't want to get used to the smell of terrorists' poop!" Lynnette itched her nose.
"Neither do I," Ryan replied as they reached the end of the tunnel. There were five other tunnels around, and all of them converged at this point. There was a medium sized hole separating all the tunnels and in the hole, all the poops were gathered. The smell was more intense in here.
"Are those shits?" Lynnette held her stomach and covered her nose. "I'm gonna puke!" Then she puked behind the group.
"So, we're trapped now?" Ryan glared at the rat.
"There is a ladder at the top of this tunnel. We can use it to climb our way out of here. Or we can just jump into the poops. There is also a hole down there. The hole—"
"I'm taking the ladder!" Ryan replied.
"Ladder?" Lynette asked. "Wait! I'm going up first – this smell is going to kill me!"
"No one ever wants to use the poop hole! It's amazing," The rat replied with a sad face while Ryan furrowed his brows while staring at it for couple of seconds.
"I can't believe I touched you," Ryan shook his head before they all reached the exit at the top.
The exit at the top was shut tightly and could only be opened from the outside. Lynnette growled in annoyance when she could not get the circular door open; the smell was starting to make her feel sick. Ryan climbed onto her shoulders and the red bar appeared again.
Congratulations! You have used the Minor option twice. In doing so, you have unlocked a special ability called Lasers. Do you want to try it now?
Yes. Ryan nodded his head.
There are three levels of the Lasers; Minor Level, Mid-level, and finally the Extreme. Choose your pick!
Minor Level. Ryan replied.
Note that your other abilities do not deplete your lives. Only by using the Extreme levels might they affect your expiry date. Do you want to proceed?
Definitely! Ryan beamed with a smile as he wondered what his other skills were. The fact that he was a nuclear bomb didn't seem to faze him any longer, and if he was to survive in this world, getting used to his abilities was the first step.
