The night had fallen – the time of the whistling birds had passed. Only the croaking frogs and the chirping crickets existed within this environment. The full moon hovered above the earth, raining down its rays of light on the earthly things below. The seas and the tides bowed to the moon, completely putting their physical consciousness under its control. Stars could be seen glowing here and there as they twinkled marvelously.
The night's air was cold and freezing, leaving the shivering Lynnette hugging herself for some warmth. Ryan hadn't woken up since he released the EMP, but it was indeed worth the shot. The rat would occasionally smack Ryan on his face trying to get him up, but he wouldn't.
The US fighters had gotten to the red smoke some hours earlier, but the releasers had disappeared. They were sure something did happen in that area when they spotted various crashed aircraft as well as bullets and missile waste. They didn't find the NTs since Maekun had ordered his men to fetch it immediately after the EMP waves went down.
Why isn't he waking up? It was hard for me to even lift him up back then. I had to carry him on my back and now, my back aches like seriously! He better not be dead. Lynnette shivered while the rat kept smacking Ryan's face, hoping he'll wake up before the cold kills the girl.
Ryan's eyes opened slowly before moving to stare at the shaking girl next to him. He chuckled silently, "What's wrong with you?"
Lynnette heard his voice and immediately looked his way, then she crawled towards him. "I thought you were dead?"
"Well, can't you see that I'm fine." Ryan replied. "The only problem I'm having right now is that I can't move."
Lynnette was still shivering due to the cold, "Do you have any more ideas on how we can leave this place?"
Ryan ignored her question, "You're cold?"
"Yeah…" She nodded changing the subject, "Do you know how hard it was to put you on my back? You're pretty heavy for you size."
Ryan smiled, "What did you expect? I'm completely filled with weapons." Then he shot lasers out of his eyes. The lasers touched a tree and it caught fire immediately. The fire spread out to other parts of the tree, consuming it at a moderate pace.
Lynnette quickly moved to the tree and enveloped herself in its warmth. A few seconds later, she turned to face Ryan after discovering how dangerous the situation was. "Wouldn't the fire from this tree set the others on fire?"
"That's the mistake everyone makes. The tree isn't on fire, but rather, the fire is on the tree," Ryan chuckled, "Funny, right?"
Lynnette shook her head with a sigh. She turned back to face the tree as she watched the fire consume every part of it. Fire was a beautiful element even though a lot of people considered it ugly. The colors that it had, and the feel on the skin was truly marvelous – especially during winter.
A chopper moving through the night's air in search for the smoke lighters spotted another line of smoke coming from the trees below them. They glanced at each other before moving towards the smoke. The President had ordered them to come back only when they find his daughter, so they weren't going to leave any clue of her whereabouts unchecked. The team consisted of two men and a woman all dressed in black outfits.
"Do you hear that?" Lynnette glanced at the skies. She heard the whirling of a chopper. "The rescue team are here for me!"
"More like the capturing team," Ryan spotted a Terrorist staring at them from the chopper door. The red bar appeared before his eyes.
How would you like to deal with them? By lasers, or by python? Or would you prefer to use the Nerve gas?
"Python might take a while since I'm already out of commission. I'll use the lasers." Ryan set the laser level to Mega then fired the chopper. The chopper spun and spun before crashing a few meters away – BOOM! Only two terrorist survived the crash.
The two of them ran towards Ryan and pointed their guns at him. "For killing our comrades, you will die a painful death."
"No, it is you who will die tonight; I'm not going anywhere yet." Ryan retorted.
One of the Terrorists noticed something strange, "Where is the girl that was with you earlier?"
All of a sudden, Lynnette jumped down from a tree and smacked a large piece of wood on the Terrorist's head, putting him out immediately while Ryan shot the other one on the spot. The Terrorists screamed out like a woman while grabbing the spot.
"Where is it? What did you do to my stuff?" He scowled at Ryan.
"Sorry for your loss," Ryan replied to the Terrorist. The man shook his head as if he could not believe it, before passing out from the shock.
The rescue team got out from the chopper and headed to the source of the smoke, hoping to find the President's daughter, but to their surprise, no one was there – the fire laid on the ground alone, pouring its smoke into the air. The team then wondered who could have left the smoke there. They returned to the chopper again and the pilot told them he had spotted another smoke some distances ahead.
Eventually, they got to the point where Ryan and Lynnette stayed. Lynnette was happy to see them. They got her and Ryan into the plane. At first, they did not want to bring Ryan with them since they had absolutely no idea what he was. They had to compromise in the end, because the President wouldn't like it if his daughter was annoyed or hurt.
The chopper took off into the air, heading back to the US military headquarters. The team kept staring at Ryan as if he could jump up and kill them any moment. Although they were wary of him, they were curious as to what he was.
"So, what are you?" A man asked.
Ryan glanced at the tag on the right side of the man's chest and figured out that the man's name was Christoph. He had no grudges towards these people, so, he answered their questions. "I am a Nuclear bomb armed with various weapons and technologies that are deadly to the human kind."
"A bomb, huh?" The other man didn't believe Ryan. His name was Allan.
"Believe it or not, your country is in serious danger. If General Maekun deploys those killing machines out into the world, no one would be safe." Ryan looked outside the window when the bar appeared again – Incoming missiles! Missile type! TG-OO7s! {Pronunciation >TG-zero-zero-sevens}
Ryan could have done something to stop the missiles, but he was just too weak. The missiles knocked into the chopper and a loud bang could be heard! Even the earth tremored, causing the animals to frenzy! The chopper was completely blown to pieces and the deaths of its inhabitants was certain.
A dark pair of crab-like legs could be seen standing on the green grasses. The unknown entity watched the chopper scatter into pieces before it spoke, "Mission Accomplished!"
