Maekun frowned in anger upon the return of NT-600. His prediction of this creation becoming a hindrance to his consistent progression was already in realization. "Send all of them! Destroy everything! Spare no one!"
"Yes, sir!" Sanzo replied, his mood had also been ruined by the appearance of NT-600, which now called itself NT-1000.
The US headquarters control room lost power; their generator had already been destroyed by Maekun's NTs. The surviving soldiers led the President as well as the workers in the control room to the RCA facility. They were attacked along the way by the Terror machines, but the soldiers held the NTs back while the President and the rest made their way into the RCA.
Ryan and Lynnette also approached the exit and they met the President and his followers. Tears fell out of the President's eyes when he saw his daughter alive and well. The two hugged themselves, expressing the love they had for one another. A father's love for his daughter surpasses all, and a daughter's love for her father can never fully be understood.
"Thank you," The President turned to face Ryan who had already gotten bigger than before. Ryan who had previously been up to the human knee was now almost reaching the human waist.
"No problem, Mr. President. In my previous life, I was dedicated to serving my country – I died serving my country." Ryan replied.
"They're coming!" A middle-aged engineer warned the others.
"Mr. President, we should get going! The Terror machines are coming our way!" Bob said to the President in fear.
"They're called NTs." Ryan corrected Bob, "NT stands for Nuclear Terror. Technically, we are nuclear bombs that also terrorize. The other NTs out there are manually controlled by the Terrorists – NT-505 and NT-007 are the only exceptions. They rely on advanced AI to function and are five times more deadlier than the other NTs. I've destroyed NT-505 and I was able to do that because I took him up by surprise. If it was a fair fight, I would still win but it would not end so easily."
The others nodded at Ryan's speech. A moment ago, they all thought their lives were going to end, but after seeing Ryan's will to fight for them, they developed the feeling of hope. The President bowed before Ryan, "Thank you for your help."
"No, thank you for not destroying me earlier." Ryan laughed.
"As If that would've been possible, your AI threatened to destroy our entire facility if we tried to do that." Bob rolled his eyes.
Ryan turned to face Lynnette, "We were meant to meet. If I hadn't found you, I would not have found the purpose for my existence in this world."
"After all this, you come back to me, promise?" Lynnette held out her pinky finger.
"Promise." Ryan intertwined his finger with hers, and then she hugged him before leaving with her father.
Katelyn Bonnier approached him with teary eyes, "I really wish I could see your real face."
"This is my real face. I'm a walking bomb anti-killing machine." Ryan chuckled, "Me and your husband might have had the same face, but trust me, your husband was a different man."
"I don't see the difference. You're still fighting for your purpose. That's what you Bonniers do; once you have a goal, you make sure you accomplish it – if not, you die trying." Katelyn replied.
"I'm not going to die," Ryan said with a serious face.
"That's exactly what my Ryan said before he left this world – he said he wasn't going to die, but when I closed my eyes and opened them back – BANG; he's gone." Katelyn joked.
"Well, I hope it's a little different for me." Ryan glanced at the steel door that could open anytime soon due to the constant bombing and banging! "You have to go now!"
Katelyn nodded and ran after the others, but at that moment she turned back to face Ryan, "Listen, if you die and somehow make it back to your original world, make sure you tell Katie how you feel about her or else she'll be really angry!"
A gentle smile found its way onto Ryan's face as he turned back to watch Katelyn disappear into the shadows. In his original world, she had been his closest friend, a loving sister, and a sparring partner. They had been through so many ups and downs together, but every time he tries to express how he feels about her, nature seems to always ruin it. He kept his feelings for her hidden even though he knew that she felt the same way towards him.
The door was blown open and seven NTs charged inside. Ryan closed his eyes and opened them up again. By doing this, the grey color of his body all peeled off to reveal a sparkling green. Even Maekun and his subordinates were shocked by the way NT-600 completely changed, but Ryan was no longer NT-600, he was NT-1000. He locked his target on the randomly moving NTs; they thought he couldn't get them while they were moving randomly but he could.
Several missiles shot out of Ryan's body and scattered the NTs into pieces. He walked out of the RCA facility, and that's when the war began – one NT against a hundred! "Send them all out! Release everything! Kill NT-1000!" Maekun roared.
"General, NT-007 has returned!" A soldier entered the AER, "And she's requesting and upgrade immediately!"
General Maekun turned to face Sanzo, "Keep on attacking him! Make sure he dies!"
Sanzo nodded his head without saying a word. General Maekun ran out of the room and went to meet NT-007 in his lab. In her hands, laid her dead brother, NT-505. "General, you have to heal him!"
General Maekun put NT-505 aside and gazed at NT-007. "I can bring your brother back anytime. But I need you to do something for me."
"What?" NT-007 asked.
"Kill him… NT-1000! End his life for good!" Maekun gritted his teeth in anger.
"I can't. He's stronger than I am."
"I can make you stronger than ever too! I can give you the power to end his life right now!"
NT-007 frowned, "Do it! I will definitely end the life of NT-1000!"
The President and the other workers all escaped in a plane and headed towards the nearest military base. He grabbed his phone and called the other military generals, "We have the Terrorists hideout! So, I'm gonna need you to send all your fighters towards that location!"
"What about Ryan?" Lynnette gazed at her father.
The President ignored her, "Kill every one of them! Destroy the whole place! Leave no survivors!"
The Generals all responded with a 'Yes', but they weren't going to do as the President instructed. They needed to save the innocents captured by the Terrorists before they considered blowing up the place.
