The following day, Kylie went back to school like nothing happened. She had put her grievances aside and reverted back to her usual self.
"Are you really sure you can manage?" Ayla worriedly looked at Kylie and asked.
"Of course, don't you know me?" Kylie looked at Ayla and said playfully.
Sure, she knew Kylie really well, and she could tell just how much she was trying to be strong for the sake of Shay and her studies, too. It was this trait that made her feel heartache for Kylie. Why would she pretend to he strong when she was weak and naive in the heart?
"But -"
"Alright, it's getting late, let's go." Ayla was still trying to talk her out of going to school that day, but Kylie cut her off. She just wanted to go to school. Who knows? Maybe she could come somewhere to vent all her pet up frustrations.
