As they arrived at the hospital, Penelope's heart pounded with worry for her sister. They hurried to the entrance, where a visibly distressed Priscilla met them. Her eyes were red-rimmed from crying, and she looked on the verge of falling apart.
"Penny, Raven, I'm so sorry for dragging you into this mess," Priscilla said, tears welling up.
Penelope enveloped her sister in a tight hug, offering what little comfort she could. Raven stood beside them silently, not wanting to add to Priscilla's distress.
Penelope pulled away and cupped her sister's face in both hands. She was slightly trembling as she regarded Priscilla.
"Are you hurt anywhere, Ceecee? Did he lay a hand on you?"
No mere thought of Priscilla being abused by her senior made Penelope's blood run cold. She never thought her sister had endured such humiliation and pain behind closed doors.
