Not sure where she is or what's going on Lucy looks around and eventually finds her car her trusty SUV, an obvious dent in the shape of a handprint on the side doesn't stop her from getting in.
She notices the blinking green light in the side of her vision but ignores it for fear of what happened last night. Putting the key in, she finally notices.
Something feels off. Everything is quiet, too quiet. She looks out the window and sees that the city is a mess. There's debris everywhere, and people are moving around in a panic. What happened last night? She starts the car and heads out of the city, desperate to find out what's going on.
As Lucy drives out of the city, she sees more and more damage. Buildings are destroyed, and the streets are littered with debris. There's no sign of any authorities, and it's like everyone is just trying to get out of the city as fast as possible. The further Lucy gets from the city, the more unsettled she feels. Something is definitely not right. Finally, she reaches the outskirts of the city, and she sees a police car parked on the side of the road. The officer inside looks haggard, and when he sees Lucy, he waves her down.
The officer approaches Lucy's car, and she rolls down the window. "Ma'am, I need you to turn around and head back to the city. It's not safe out here," he says, his voice urgent. "There was an attack last night, and we're trying to get everyone to safety." Lucy is stunned. An attack? What kind of attack? "But my son is waiting for me," she says, her voice trembling. "He's at my parents' house, in the countryside." The officer looks at her with pity. "I'm sorry, ma'am, but I can't let you"
"But we're talking about my son here."
The officer sighs and looks down at his feet. "I understand, ma'am, but I can't let you go. I'm sorry, but it's for your own safety. You see, there are reports of...of monsters in the countryside. We don't know what's going on, but we can't risk sending anyone out there." Lucy's mind is racing. Monsters? What kind of monsters? And if the countryside is unsafe, then where is her son? Before she can even think of what to say next, a deafening roar shatters the silence. The officer whips around, his hand on his gun, and he looks terrified. "What was that?" he asks, his voice shaking. Just then, a massive creature comes barreling out of the woods. It's at least 10 feet tall, with thick, scaly skin and razor-sharp claws. Lucy screams as the creature roars and charges toward them. The officer fires his gun, but it's no use. The creature swipes its claws, and the car is sent flying. Lucy is thrown from the car, and she lands hard on the ground.
SKREEEEEEEEEEEE
Glasses shatter all around Lucy as the creature stands on it's hind legs and roars.
Scrambling as fast as she can, she ends up behind an ice cream truck.
"What the hell is that thing? A fallen? No, I've never heard of one being so..... "
SKREEEEEEEEEEEE
Lucy covers her ears once again as the monster roars yet again.
" What do i do? What do i do? Uhm. System?" She fumbles in panic.
" "
"Uhm. S status?" She says again.
