The oracle's invitation (Part 2)
"I think it's you. You are needed inside." That is all Silas said whilst turning around with an intention to go back inside the yurt, if his direction was anything to go by.
"Excuse me?" Teresa was full on confused at this point.
In fact, everyone who stood there looked at her with an expression of wonder.
Wondering about what was going on and some even thought how the world has been polluted with pretty privileges as the girl got to go inside before any of them just because she was pretty, although they were here way before her.
Sia was about to interject trying to refuse because sending her bestfriend alone in a tent that looked shabby enough to be in a horror flick and also from where this weird creep just exited out and was going back in, didn't seem like a very responsible friend's move to her.
"I don't think so." Sia was getting into one of her moods where she would throw a punch before even thinking of throwing a punch when Silas glared at her and moved to look back to Teresa.
"I am not joking around, this is serious. My master is calling for you inside and she is insisting that you be there right now." He was speaking looking squarely in Teresa's eyes, "Once it passes it never comes back. You have to get in there now!"
He urged her to go in by moving one side of the flap to give her a view inside just so she would see that there are not any imminent dangers lurking inside there. Living in this time and age he sympathizes with a girl's reluctance to go in unknown places alone.
Teresa stared back in Sila's gaze, reading in it and coming to a decision that she saw sincerity in them. Teresa was always the trusting type but it was her friend who always gave Teresa an ear full about how dumb girls get dumped in ditches... after being molested and murdered.
"Sia, I think it's ok..." Teresa moved her face back to reassure her friend who she knew would be reluctant to let her go.
"Teresa, I really think you shouldn't go inside; I'm having a gut feeling about this." Sia tried to change her mind holding her arm in refusal to let her go.
At this point it wasn't even about the creepy tent or this weirdo who came from there. It was something else that wasn't sitting right with her, something was going on and she felt it in her soul.
"We don't have time for this," Silas announced rather losing control over his urgent temper and loudly exclaiming. He realized his mistake because everyone around him looked at him suspiciously as if he was the bad guy.
"Look if you are worried, then I can stay here with your friend ok? You can go in there alone. There's no one in there but my master who awaits you. Please, I implore you, time is of the essence." At the end of it, he almost pleaded with her and that conveyed the message to Teresa.
Though uncertain of what awaited her within the confines of the tent, Teresa felt a surge of curiosity mingled with apprehension.
Sending a nod in Sia's direction Teresa walked inside the tent not looking back as she entered the world of mysteries, fortunes and prophecies.
"Where do you think you're going? Oh no, you are staying right here with me as long as my friend doesn't come out." Sia gave Sila's a look of a single raised eye brow and folded arms over her chest as she said 'don't mess with me' thru her eyes to him as soon as he was about to follow Teresa inside.
He completely forgot about what he said about waiting outside while she was in there but it was only because he was worried about his master.
I guess I'll never know what she wanted the girl there for. Or if she was the right one she was looking for. Silas thought huffing and taking a step back to stand beside Sia in order to give her a peace of mind.
His master had the habit of not disclosing the information he misses out on, saying, it was his destiny to not know it if he missed it in the first place. Curosity be damned.
