The Carnival Part 1

Finally after a long argument between the two friends about whether or not to go; their car approached outside the Carnival's entrance. The air outside the car crackled with anticipation, charged with the energy of countless souls eager for adventure.

Inside the car, the two girls sat inside ready to step out into the world of wonders which soon would be wrapped up after it's done it's course of providing it's visitors with some happy, some hilarious and some memorable moments of family and friends to cherish for life.

"Hey, guess what I got for us," Sia produced a bag and showed it to Teresa before they got off the car. Within the bag, there were two pairs of shoes in size of both of them.

Teresa looked up at her friend in understanding of what it was about. "Sometimes, Sia, sometimes, you know how to work that brain of yours." that was a compliments that Teresa gave to her disguised as a friendly tease.

"You're welcome Teresa my love," Sia replied with an exaggerated smile before flipping her off right after for the comment.

This caused Teresa to laugh out loud before she herself produced a smaller box from her purse and gave it to Sia and took the shoes from her bag to put them on after taking her high heels off.

"And you're welcome for this," Teresa quipped as she was putting on the shoes that would be more comfortable for them to walk in thru the busy lanes of the carnival that would undoubtedly have uneven grounds.

"What's in this?" Sia questioned looking at the box before realizing what it was.

"It has the power to make you look less geeky and more of a beautiful woman that you are! So you better put you big girl pants on and take those stupid glasses off and wear these contacts. Hurry up." Teresa scolded her because she looked like she was about to throw them out the window.

"No I am not; the big girl pants would ruin the look of this beautiful above the knee dress." Sia humored. But Teresa knew that she was only trying to get out of the situation since she was always scared of putting the lenses in her eyes.

"Stop it, I'll do it for you as always. Here give them to me," Teresa was asking for the box so she could help Sia put the contacts on.

However, Sia put the lenses in her pocket and jumped out the car before Teresa could stop her. Once outside Sia eccentrically stuck her tongue out at Teresa before she ran in chuckling.

Teresa got out the car shaking her head at the childish habits of her best friend before she finally took in the spectacle of towering arches adorned with twinkling lights in front of her. Welcoming them into a world of wonder and delight.

Each step closer brought the distant strains of lively music and the tantalizing scent of cotton candy and popcorn drifting on the breeze.

"Wait for me!" She called out to Sia who ran in before her. Teresa stepped in hurriedly before she could loose sight of her. The entrance itself was a spectacle to behold, a grand gateway adorned with intricate carvings and vibrant banners fluttering in the evening breeze.

As she passed beneath the archway, the atmosphere shifted, enveloping them in a kaleidoscope of sights and sounds. The air hummed with the laughter of children and the joyful chatter of families out for an evening of fun.

Although both girls in a hurry, one who was running from her friend and other who was chasing after her, both couldn't help but look around in amazement of what was around them.
