Chapter 494 - Standing in line!

"Yo, Borsalino, you're back."

In the Fleet Admiral's office, Garp, lounging on the sofa, greeted Kizaru as he came in to report.

"Garp, be quiet."

Sengoku turned to Kizaru.

"Borsalino, the matter at Sabaody Archipelago is over, but the World Government is very dissatisfied with your actions. Write a report, as detailed as possible. I'll send it to the World Government."

Kizaru casually sat on the sofa in the office.

"Got it, Sengoku-san. I'll have Sentomaru write a thorough report."

Kizaru said nonchalantly, trimming his nails.

"Hey, I meant you should write it!"

Sengoku roared, frustrated with the uncooperative attitudes around him.

"Yes, yes, I understand. I'll have Sentomaru write several copies. You can pick the one you like. The World Government won't care if I write it personally."

Kizaru then looked at the young man sitting upright and somewhat tense next to Garp.

"Garp-san? This is...?"

Kizaru almost said, "your son," but knowing Garp's personality and the cold nature of someone else, he held back.

"Borsalino, this is my grandson, Sabo. He's joined the Navy, so take good care of him."

Garp's face lit up with a smile. Sabo joining the Navy made him very happy, though he was still a bit upset that the grandson he most wanted in the Navy remained rebellious.

"Oh, I see. I'll make sure to take care of him."

Kizaru nodded. Despite his laid-back attitude, he was good at getting along with colleagues, or he would have been complained about countless times.

At that moment, the door to the Fleet Admiral's office opened, and the Director of the Naval Crime Investigation Division, Tensho, and Navy Headquarters Chief Staff Officer, Tsuru, walked in.

Even Kizaru showed a hint of curiosity at their arrival.

No one in the Navy liked dealing with the head of the Crime Investigation Division. Contact with him often meant being suspected by the high command.

"Oh, it's Tsuru and Tensho."

Garp greeted them with a smile, but they didn't respond and instead looked seriously at Sengoku.

"Fleet Admiral Sengoku, based on my investigation, I need to ask about Rear Admiral Rosinante's whereabouts recently."

Tensho asked coldly.

The sudden question made the office atmosphere tense.

Even Kizaru stopped trimming his nails, curious about what the head of the Crime Investigation Division had discovered related to Sengoku.

Garp continued eating his rice crackers.

Sabo was bewildered, clearly not as thick-skinned as Luffy. He could sense the tension in the room.

These people were all high-ranking officers, so Sabo looked to Garp for help.

"Sabo, try the Navy's special flower tea. You can't get this in the East Blue."

Garp simply offered him tea.

Sabo held the teacup, his eyes darting between the high-ranking officers, trying to figure out what was going on.

"Rosinante was on a secret mission for me recently."

Sengoku said, frowning.

"But according to my investigation, Rear Admiral Rosinante appeared in the Grand Line recently and seemed to have close contact with the Revolutionary Army rebels."

Tensho's gaze fixed firmly on Sengoku. "Moreover, I found that Admiral Zephyr's defection had hidden reasons..."

As Tensho finished speaking, Garp quietly put down his rice cracker, and a wise glint appeared in Sengoku's eyes.

"Impressive as always, Tensho."

Sengoku didn't back down from the Crime Investigation Bureau chief's gaze, instead showing admiration.

"So, my suspicions were correct. Both Rear Admiral Rosinante's actions and Admiral Zephyr's defection were connected to you, Sengoku, or should I say..."

Tensho's eyes scanned the others in the office.

"Alright, no need to be so tense."

Tsuru spoke up.

"But Sengoku, this time you were careless. You should know the World Government has never stopped being wary of the Navy. If not for Tensho, the information about Rosinante's contact with the Revolutionary Army would have landed on the desks of the Five Elders."

Sengoku fell silent. Despite his reputation as a strategic genius, his plans sometimes had flaws in execution.

He also knew the World Government had placed many spies within the Navy. They would never allow such a massive organization to operate without oversight.

"Don't worry, Sengoku-san, I have no hostile intentions. From Tsuru's briefing, I understand your plan. I intend to join you. This world indeed needs some serious reshuffling."

Tensho looked at Sengoku sincerely.

Sengoku remained silent. He knew that changing the world required the Navy's strength, meaning more people would need to join their cause.

He also worried that increasing personnel might allow untrustworthy elements to infiltrate their ranks.

Understanding Sengoku's concerns, Tensho handed him a document.

"These are the files I've gathered over the years on the Navy's internal affairs. You should take a look."

As Sengoku read through the files, his expression grew increasingly grim.

"This is truly disgraceful."

Sengoku hadn't expected to see so many familiar names in the document.

"My investigation shows these people have varying degrees of connection with the World Government. Some are even CP agents undercover in the Navy. Besides them, there are spies from other factions. The highest-ranking is Vice Admiral Vergo, the current chief of G5."

"According to our investigation, Vergo is a spy for Donquixote Doflamingo, one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea. He joined the Navy a long time ago and has been passing information to Doflamingo ever since."

Kizaru showed a mockingly surprised expression.

"Oh, that's really scary."

"Bruru bruru bruru..."

Amid their conversation, Sengoku's desk den den mushi suddenly rang. He picked it up and said, "Moshi moshi."

"What!? That guy..."
