This event was inspired heavily on jujutsu kaisen's [Black Flash] and you can practically see the mimilarity between this story and Jujutsu Kaisen.

This event can be triggered by an energy leak, or just straight up pour most of user's energy to trap opponent. Or there is a third way, that is just control a surge of terrain and make it a domain. This is why pokemon or even human that master some kind of energy spreading technique or someone that posses too much power that is just leaking is morelikely to be easier to pull a domain. That being said that some move that spread can be an essence for domain expansion, but the user or someone else need to release more mind control to be able to form a domain. Domain also need a lot of energy to preserve, so do everyone without exeption. If the user aren't capable enough, this move can lead to coma for some days.

This is also an event that can happen whenever a pokemon have a little to no left energy to use, or aren't especially capable of doing it. This lead to self hurting with a risk of fatal organ damage and in some case, death. You think human don't get this? Oh, you're right. Human also get this effect with the same reason, still same reason with the pokemon ones. This event is also depend on the resistance and amount of adrenaline released. Maybe they just look fine with a bloody body and some broken part, once the adrenaline was off, they can feel the pain more than a stroke and heart attack. Exeption of competitive battle. This event could be triggered with some unlocked flowing of life energy, enabling user to reach their peak potential once activated. This consume a lot of energy, a ton of them. With an exeption of unconciously doing it, this time it consume user's conciousness little by little and also inflict a traumatizing view either foe or your body.

Yes, here it is quite obvious that growth is key to evolution and some similar traits from Change in the personality or behaviour. The pokemon here have a similar lifespan of their real life counterparts, they usually don't live longer than 20-25 years. Unless they are rock or steel type pokemon. Usually they just need to consume mineral and whole bones they find, this compensate with the density of muscle with Calcium fiber that was really hard to tear. Keep in mind that they all still have blood.
