(Inuk?? What's he doing here? I haven't seen Inuk going out of the house much these days. So considering he's here, it should be something important, right?) I thought while staring at Inuk that appeared.
"What's wrong?" Kina asked with a slight nervous tone.
(Wonder what could make Kina so nervous.)
"Shaman Hulu is calling; he also said you should bring Kuta and Tskuta along." Inuk said, before turning and walking away.
(Wait, what!!) Listening to Inuk, I was extremely shocked. Not because my father's calling me, but Tskuta. (Why must she also come along?)
Turning my head towards Tskuta, I saw an expressionless face. (I guess she's really into this role, not even reacting a bit.)
Probably sensing my gaze, Tskuta turned her head in my direction and glared.
If eyes could speak, I'm definitely sure she's telling me not to mess up, but how can I mess up? My memories are lost; no one suspects me.
Although having absolute certainty that there's no way possible for me to mess up or even be suspicious, but considering it's her, I guess I should probably be extra careful with my wording.
"Come, let's go." Kina hurriedly said while grabbing my hand.
Seeing this made me even more sure that something was definitely wrong here.
A few minutes later, we arrived at the door where Inuk was waiting for us.
"Shaman Hulu said you should go straight to his room." Inuk said while opening the door for us, but did not go in.
Walking in, the door closed again.
Looking at the clean house, I couldn't help but praise my father's cleanliness again.
"Come, let me show you where Shaman Hulu's room is." Kina said as she dragged me into the middle of the only two rooms in the house.
This made me confused as I looked at the room on the right. (Shouldn't his room just be on the right?)
Kina chuckled when she noticed my confusion. "The room on the right is the kitchen."
(Wait, then where...)
But just with a single press against the wall from Kina, a passage opens up, solving my confusion.
(So it's a secret passage, like in the movies.) Although taken aback by the passage that suddenly opened up, it wasn't nearly enough to cause me any shock.
Looking next to me at the silent Tskuta, I couldn't help feeling helpless. Tskuta was silent along the way, but from the moment we came into the house, I could see her eyes constantly scanning the surroundings. Like now, at this scene, she frowned.
"Come, it's just through this passage." Kina said.
Upon entering the passageway, I noticed it wasn't actually as dark as it appeared on the outside. There was also a warm feeling in the air, like a warm blanket tightly wrapped around me, covering every inch of my body.
Tskuta, on the other hand, was having a very different experience. The moment she entered the passageway, her entire body felt cold. I only realised how she felt when she grabbed my hand out of nowhere.
Although she was not shivering, I could feel she was truly cold. Her whole face looked pale; luckily, Kina was in front of us, so she didn't notice this. If she did, who knows what she'll do.
"Goblin, hug me." Tskuta whispered in my ear with a shaky voice.
Hearing this caused me to stiffen, but remembering the contract and considering how much she's suffering right now, I guess it wouldn't hurt.
Making up my mind, I hugged Tskuta, but, of course, only sideways. I mean, we can't just be walking towards my father's room while hugging each other, and with Kina here, it's even more dangerous.
Feeling her cold skin come into contact with mine caused me to shiver, not from the close contact but from the reaction between hot and cold. Quickly getting over this feeling, we walked forward.
The passageway was not that long, and could only be described as 10 to 15 metres long. Arriving at the end, I saw three doors, which should mean three more rooms.
Turning her head, Kina looks back towards us, but at this time I had already let go of Tskuta.
Not noticing Tskuta's pale face, she says, "Shaman Hulu's room is in the middle; the rest are prohibited from entering."
After saying that, she turns again and knocks on the door.
"Knock, knock, knock."
It was silent for a minute or two before a familiar voice came from inside the room.
"Come in."
Hearing this, Kina opens the door and goes in, but when I heard this, my first action was not to enter, but...
Looking at the pale Tskuta next to me, I could not help worrying, but when she saw me stare, all she did was nod as if she were okay, but from her still cold skin and pale face, I could tell she wasn't okay.
Seeing this, although I'm worried in my heart, but considering it's her, I guess it should be alright. Holding onto Tskuta's hand with worry in my heart, I enter the room, but am met with a truly horrifying sight.
Instead of a room, it looked more like a cemetery. The space inside was at least 25 metres long and 35 metres wide.
The room was lit up, but weirdly, due to the atmosphere it had, it seemed kind of dark. The rotten smell of death loomed in the air, causing me to want to puke.
Luckily, although I hadn't smelled a rotten smell like this before, but because of my hunting experience, I managed to endure puking out the only food in my stomach.
Ignoring the smell, I looked around but didn't spot my father.
"Don't look; I'm next to you." A voice sounded, which frightened me.
Turning around, I saw Shaman Hulu, but unlike before, his eyes looked much different. It had a slight darkness and ominousness to it.
Suddenly remembering something, I notice that he was actually standing next to Tskuta at the moment.
My heart pounded as I started to panic inside. (Is he going to notice Tskuta's situation? What will he do if he finds out? Wait, if he kills Sade, won't I also have to die? I can't let him find out!)
"I..." Before I could even continue, I saw him turn towards Tskuta. He frowned and stared deep into her eyes, but Tskuta was not fazed one bit by what he did.
"Hahaha, you should take good care of your wife, Son. She's ice cold, and by that, I mean literally ice cold." Turning around, he starts laughing merrily as his beard shakes up and down.
Hearing him, I breathed a sigh of relief and relaxed, but just then.
"If it wasn't for her soul, I would have thought she was a human just now."
