(Soul!!?) Listening to this, I was extremely frightened. If what he said is true, does that mean he can see souls? If so, wouldn't he have already seen mine?
Looking at me, Kina frowned. I can probably see why she did, because at the moment, Tskuta is well...
Turning to Tskuta, who hugged me again, I felt helpless but still allowed it. (Considering Kina did not interfere this time, it's probably because of Shaman Hulu.)
At least something started to look good, which was Tskuta's temperature. I don't know why, but it's starting to return to normal.
"Hehehe, you three are probably curious as to why I wanted to see you, right?" Shaman Hulu asked while walking away from me and Tskuta.
I nodded in response.
"Yes, Shaman Hulu." Kina, although extremely unpleased with Tskuta, still managed to hold herself in and reply with a serious expression.
"Well, here." Upon his words, a familiar black cloud appeared in the air, and out of it fell a red stone.
"Do you know what this is?"
(Wait, isn't this the red stone Tskuta gave me to...) Thinking of this, I wanted to turn my attention towards Tskuta, but when I considered the possibility of my actions causing her harm, I resisted wanting to turn my head.
"Isn't that an egg?" Kina answered, slightly taken aback by the red stone.
(That's an egg?? What kind of egg is so hard??) I was confused at it being an egg. Since the moment I got it from Tskuta, I tested it and it felt 100 percent rock to me.
"Yes, it is, keen eye, you have Kina." Shaman Hulu praised while throwing the red stone in the air and catching it.
Kina smiled widely at Shaman Hulu's praise and looked at Tskuta, wanting to see her reaction, but unfortunately, Tskuta showed no change in expression.
"Then what creature is this egg from? Any guesses?" Shaman Hulu asks while looking towards Kina.
Kina looked embarrassed at Shaman Hulu's question. I probably know why that is.
"A uh..Griffen." She spoke in an unsure manner.
Shaman Hulu smiles and says while turning his attention towards me. "No, anyone else."
And of course, I don't know what kind of creature it is. So I just kept silent.
But my silence only caused more silence. I don't know why, but probably seeing I don't know the answer, Kina started blindly throwing out creatures names.
"A Winged Python."
"No"
"Lizard Man."
"No"
"A Minotaur."
"They don't give birth to eggs."
"Oh uhh." Hearing this made her even more embarrassed. Usually she doesn't like this, but I'm certain she's trying to attract Father's attention away from me.
Seeing that no one knew the origin of the egg, Shaman Hulu couldn't help laughing.
"Hahaha, it looks like..."
"A dragon." Tskuta's cold voice sounded out next to me.
Shaman Hulu froze, clearly startled by this sudden answer.
Turning around, he looks towards Tskuta with a profound meaning in his eyes and says, "I was honestly not expecting you to recognise its race."
"I read a lot of books." She said in a shaky, cold voice. Of course, I know it's not because she's afraid. I've never actually seen her be scared of anything really. But damn!!
(How can you be so daring, Sade! Are you not the one who had it in the first place! So of course you know it's race!) I screamed internally, really shocked at Tskuta's boldness.
"Hmm, I guess you're not totally useless." Shaman Hulu muttered, but clearly it wasn't soft enough, as literally everyone heard it.
As always, Tskuta was not fazed by this, but Kina's expression was not looking so good. She could be described as having an extremely ugly face right now.
"But yes, what my daughter-in-law said was right. It is an egg of the dragon race." Shaman Hulu said while looking at all of us.
Hearing Shaman Hulu's words, Kina's expression became even more uglier, especially when he said, "daughter-in-law.".
(Dragon should be the mythical creature in my previous world, right? I wasn't actually into fantasy and that stuff, so my knowledge of it is pretty poor, but they should be world ending creatures from what I heard. If that is truly a dragon's egg then....) Just the thought of this made me shiver with fear.
"To be precise, this is the egg of a Rank 3 Scorched Dragon." Shaman Hulu said in a relaxed tone.
Finally realising something, Kina asked with a slightly fearful voice, "So will the dragon come for the egg?"
"Normally it should find the egg by scent, but I've temporarily covered its scent using the smell of the dacayed bodies."
(So, that's why it smelled like rotten corpses.)
"I should have already gotten rid of this thing, but when I thought about it, I decided on using it for other purposes." Shaman Hulu said while rubbing his beard thoughtfully.
Listening to him, I had a bad feeling in my heart.
"So, I want you three to take it to the Orc village." He said as he tossed the dragon's egg towards me.
I hurriedly caught the unexpected egg that was thrown at me.
"Wait, could it be because of..." Kina asked, but did not fully speak her sentence when...
"Yes." Shaman Hulu nodded his head. Turning his attention towards me, he narrows his eyes before saying, "It looks like you're slowly regaining your strength. So it wouldn't be a problem for you to go on this journey."
Listening to my father, I nodded nervously, still a little worried by his eyes, which are suspected to be capable of seeing through souls.
"Great, then tomorrow you set off. Kina will be your guide and personal guard. I was considering not letting Tskuta go, but since she's knowledgeable of the world's creatures, especially dragons, I decided she may go, but protection is limited, so don't face enemies you can't deal with." Shaman Hulu said as he looked at me.
Listening to this, I nodded again, but this time with a serious expression. But was I truly serious about this? No, definitely not. If anyone needs protection, it's me. Kina's level 9, so I won't start there, but Tskuta!! (Where the hell does she need protection!!?)
"You may go now, but Kina, stay." Shaman Hulu said while waving us to go out.
