Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: The Mysterious Goblin Girl

"Tskutsku"

I heard a voice calling me in my dreams. A weird yet familiar voice this was. Where have I heard it before? I can't remember.

"Tskutsku"

There it is again. Wait, isn't this her voice? But who is she?

"Tskutsku"

The voice sounded again, but this time I felt coldness all over my body. Why is this?

My body was so cold, especially my face. It was so cold that, because of this coldness, I had to forcibly wake up from my dream.

I opened my eyes, and what met them was another pair of eyes. A familiar gentle green eyes, I saw. An emotion appeared in my heart for these eyes, but...

"Tskutsku." I heard the familiar voice coming from the owner of these gentle eyes.

My eyes widen, but not at the familiarity of her voice but at what she said.

"Why are you sleeping here, husband?" What she said sounded repeatedly in my mind.

"Hu-ss-band?" I subconsciously spoke out.

Staring at me with confused eyes, she backs up. Allowing me to see her true body.

"Yes, husband." She says.

Although already knowing this, but my brain just could not comprehend myself being married. The only one who's married is this body,..which I now control.

'Sigh' A sigh escapes my mouth as I stand up from the ground.

Standing still, I look at my previous and future wife, carefully inspecting her.

(Apart from being slender and slightly pretty, she looks just like me, meaning she should also be a goblin, right?)

As I stared at her, I subconsciously started circling her.

Noticing my actions caused confusion for my wife.

(She looks young. According to the law, she'd probably be between 17 and 23. But is this truly her age?)

Leaning in towards her, I notice that she was wearing a band on her head. If far away one would not notice this as it was hidden under her short brown hair.

Just as I wanted to continue to inspect my wife,

"Umm, husband, can you not look at me like that?"

Her voice sounded out, making me realise that I was being impolite.

"I'm sorry, but I don't know who you are. I know you, but I can't remember."

Feeling embarrassed, I quickly apologised and came out with the ying-yang truth.

Hearing this, her brows furrowed. Looking at me seriously, she slowly walked forward.

Seeing this, I gulped.

I saw her lean towards me, causing me to hold my breath. (What does she want to do?)

Leaning next to my ear, she whispers in a language that's all too familiar to me. "Our deal still holds, so if you dare to try and act like you don't remember, Just know it won't end well for you, goblin."

I swallowed as I felt how wrong the situation was.

(First she was a goblin, then my wife, and now she's some sort of English-speaking goblin.)

Just take me to heaven already. Why make me suffer such a cruel fate?

I cried without tears.

Suddenly she backed up, then as if her whole personality had changed.

She smiled at me with narrowed eyes and said it in a sweet tone. "Husband, stop joking. How can you not remember the one you married?"

Listening to her tone, I felt my body melt, but quickly got rid of it and shivered in fear.

(What a truly terrifying woman.)

My supposed wife grabs my hand while dragging me off, as she says. "Come on, honey, we need to get back to the village before it's dark."

Hearing this, I resisted her dragging, and yet in response, she only smiled, but very, very creepily.

"Come now, honey, we don't want to be hunted by wolves now, do you?"

Gulp

I swallowed in fear when I heard this. If a rabbit is level 1, then a wolf must be level 3, maybe 4. And considering they travel in packs, I'm certain only death awaits me if I stay.

With this scary thought, I shivered and let go of my resistance.

Seeing this, endless delight appeared in her eyes.

"That's great."

Of course, my feet were also moving, because I truly do not want to stay here.

Walking through the forest with her, I finally get a chance to check something I have forgotten to check, her information.

"Open information." I said in a low voice, afraid of her hearing.

After saying this, I looked at her, wondering if she heard me, and what met me were two green eyes. Just staring at me in silence.

I gulped at this but quickly regained composure when she turned her head.

Turning my attention towards her information panel, I'm shocked at what I saw.

[Name: ???? (Tskuta)

Level: ????

Race: ????

Talents: ????]

My mind was blown at this sight.

The only information that appeared was Tskuta. A familiar name that I know is not hers. The rest are question marks.

(How dangerous is this woman for all her stats to be question marks?) I thought in fear while staring at her.

Feeling me stare, she turns her head and smiles. "Honey, look, we have finally arrived."

Hearing this, I snap out of my fearful thoughts and turn my attention towards a large, broken-down wooden gate. Surrounded by a broken fence stretching wide out far.

In front of this broken-down gate were two bulky goblins. They were as buff as bodybuilders, but small in size, even smaller than me.

In their hands, they each held a wooden spear with an iron-sharp end.

Seeing us, they stepped forward and questioned us with frowns on their faces. "Why are you two out so late?"

I gulped at their question. What am I supposed to say? I forgot what the time was and slept outside.

Stepping in front of me, my wife said. "We forgot what time it was and slept outside."

Listening to her, their expressions hardened, and then...

"Oh, go through, and next time look at the sky."

My mouth hung to the ground at this scene. (I can't believe that worked, but how did she say the exact same thing I thought of?)

Looking at me, she smiled, then grabbed my arm. "Come on, we need to hurry up."

Staring at that smile, I had a bad feeling in my heart. (Don't tell me she can read minds and stuff.)

Suddenly, one of Goblin guards looked at me with a frown, then said. "Your sister said hurry up, go."

"Oh, I'm not his sister." Tskuta smiled sweetly at them.

Looking at that smile, I instantly knew she was up to no good, and my premonition came true.

With her green eyes, she spoke in a seductive voice (or at least that's what it sounded like to me) as she looked at them. "I'm his wife."

Surprise could be seen in both goblins eyes when they heard this.

"Wow, you are truly lucky, brother." One of the goblins said as he fiercely patted my back.

"You should invite us over some times, maybe we can do it together." The other goblin said while winking at me with a smug face.

My face turned black at their comments. (Lucky, what luck are you talking about!! And what the heck do you mean by "Do it together"!! I'm not doing any thing with no one!! You hear me!! No one! Especially not her!)

"Sure, you can come over anytime." Tskuta said while she started dragging me away.

Not resisting, I let her drag me away. I mean who would want to stay with these two nuts.

"Haha, great, I'll bring my whip tomorrow!" The goblin shouted to us as we left.

"Haha, what whip? I'll bring my dragon tomorrow." The other one shouted not to be out done.

"What dragon! You're a bunny, from what I've heard!"

"Huh, bunny, if I'm a bunny, you're an ant."

"What!! Who told you that!?"

"...Your mother."
