THREE WEEKS AFTER ROBERT'S INCARCERATION
NICO'S APARTMENT
Three weeks had passed since Robert was incarcerated and sentenced to life imprisonment. Since that day, Nico and Shina had been doing some further investigation while they recovered.
But they were also considering the possibility of forming a secret team to catch the letter killer, as things were about to get more complicated now that they knew many people could assist the killer.
Right now, they were in Nico's apartment with his sister and Shina, brainstorming who they could bring in to form a team.
"Let's go over it again. We need someone who knows technology firsthand. Any ideas?" Shina asks, looking at Nahir and Nico, who were seated.
"I know someone. Her name is Catherine Russell, twenty years old. I worked with her when I had to investigate a case in Florida. She's a tech genius, like Nahir, and her help would be invaluable to us," Nico responds, showing Shina who the girl is. Besides, Nahir already knew her from before.
"Perfect. If she agrees, that part would be covered," Shina says, noting Catherine's name.
"We'll also need someone who can move without leaving traces," Nico says, looking out the window of his room.
"I know someone with that characteristic. His name is Roman Bradlie, born in Germany but living in the United States since he was eleven. He was also involved in a secret army mission and then disappeared without a trace," Nahir responds, showing Shina and Nico the only information she has about him.
"Why do I feel like I've seen him somewhere before?" Nico says, looking at Nahir, who was nervously smiling at her brother's words.
"Uh-uh-uh, I don't know what you're talking about, little brother," Nahir says with a nervous smile.
"Now I remember. Wasn't he the guy you're in love with, Nahir?" Nico says, making his sister blush and leaving Shina in shock.
"S-s-shut up, brother. So, what do you say?" Nahir says, blushing, making Nico and Shina smile.
"Yeah, call him and tell him," Shina says, noting Roman Bradlie's name.
"Now we only need one more member, but it has to be someone who knows about weapons," Shina says, to which Nico and Nahir look at her in surprise.
"Well, in that case, I know someone. His name is Jacob Wils, nineteen years old. His father was in the military, but he retired. Since then, he's been in charge of maintaining army weapons until he gets promoted. He knows a lot about guns," Nico says, showing Nahir and Shina the information.
"And do you really think he'll help us?" Shina asks, looking at Nico.
"Yes, Jacob owes me a favor, so he'll accept," Nico replies, as Shina notes Jacob's name.
"So, the team is decided. Now we just have to wait for the other members to accept," Shina says, to which Nico and Nahir nod with a smile.
Three days passed since they contacted the others, receiving the response that they accept to work as a team to catch the letter killer. But now they needed a place to hide.
The place they'll hide is beneath Nico's apartment since he always wanted a secret place, so his uncle gifted it to him when he moved in with Nahir in case of emergencies.
The other members accessed the place from another entrance guided by Nahir, who knew everyone.
"I see you arrived faster than I thought," Nico says, looking at everyone.
"Welcome to the secret team to stop the letter killer," Shina says, turning on the lights of the place, leaving everyone speechless with the advanced technology it had.
Officially, a new secret team has just been born, under the command of Lieutenant Shina Geiser, to catch the letter killer. The end is drawing near, but the question is, can these teenagers stop a killer who has been alive since 2008 and looks like a boy their age? We'll find out soon.
