Chereads / Priest, Pray For Us / Chapter 15 - Report

Chapter 15 - Report

"Incorporeal Entity, the darkness level is very high, reaching the point of being extreme. We could assume that the evil spirit has supernatural powers, has caused much harm to this family not only physically but mentally, and its fate is the killer."Rafael murmured, identifying the type of entity they were about to eliminate.

"Very well, we will need to stay mentally strong because we will be facing the peak of what darkness can reach... Stay alert; you are the only person who can do something besides my abilities," Anton said, a bit concerned but confident in his current abilities.

Rafael knew they were facing a powerful enemy, so he nodded after realizing that this was a big step towards what he wanted to achieve in this life.

"Priest Anton, is everything okay?" Ed approached and asked in a low voice. When he realized that he had been inconsiderate because these were not comforting words, Anton smiled apologetically, realizing that he was now the central focus of everyone in this house.

"Alright, everyone gather." But before something unwanted happened, Anton warned: "The children are not suitable to hear what I am about to say."

All the adults looked at each other and stood up. Mr. and Mrs. Perron caressed their daughters, who were by their sides, and both told them, "Stay all together here; nothing bad will happen."

"Don't leave..." The eldest of the five daughters was more concerned because she was more aware of what was happening, especially since she was the girl who had been dragged into the video sent to Anton as proof.

Carolyn smiled and said in the softest voice she could muster, "Everything will be fine. If anything happens, Priest Anton will take care of it."

The girl, who didn't want to appear weak in front of her sisters, nodded seriously, but there was still deep fear in her eyes.

Carolyn nodded, admiring her daughter's courage, and walked to the kitchen with her husband, who had been waiting for her, and both left under the watchful eyes of the children.

"What is the priest's plan?" At that moment, Ed had already walked to his wife's side and waited to be told what they would do.

Lorraine, who had heard what Anton would do, shared with the others: "He will take care of Bathsheba tonight."

Ed nodded upon hearing his wife's words. It was a relief to hear from a priest that he would handle the problem in a single night. In the end, he would never really worry because if everything went well, everything would be fine, and if it didn't, then there was nothing to worry about anyway because they couldn't do anything.

The house's atmosphere was quite large, ideal for the Perrons, who were a fairly large family. In the middle of the house is the staircase leading upstairs, connected to the path on the side that extends to the backyard, while the living room is on one side and the dining room is on the other. Compared to the living room's layout, the dining room is simpler, with a clean kitchen.

Anton sat in the center of the table for obvious reasons, so he waited silently for everyone to gather, at least those who were a priority to do his job. Ed and Lorraine were inseparable, sitting together to the right of Anton, while Roger and Carolyn were together in front. As for Officers Brad and Drew, they were respectively to the right and left of the Perrons.

When everyone was seated, Anton showed no sign of indifference. He looked at the glances they threw at him and said calmly, "Father Rafael and I have detected that what everyone says is true, but there is not only one but several."

As soon as these words came out, all present were not surprised; they had experienced all kinds of incredible things before.

"Supernatural events in my work have always been divided into two sections: those that can be exorcised and those that cannot be exorcised."

But before everyone panicked, Anton did not stop and continued speaking while looking at everyone's expressions. Except for Ed and Lorraine, all the others felt very stunned by what they heard. They were all scared to think of an outcome that no one wants in this place.

Fortunately, Anton's next words made them feel calm but also mentally exhausted, as if they saw a ray of light in the ocean of pain.

"This place meets the requirements for exorcism. I will perform the exorcism ceremony tonight."

The voices of Mr. and Mrs. Perron trembled.

"Thank you very much!!"

Upon hearing these words again, Anton looked at them and could see the gratitude in their eyes. He couldn't help but feel sorry for this family; many should not feel this kind of pain and fear that would leave them marked for life.

"This is what we must do..." Anton responded to the words of this couple.

"The night is approaching; we must act now; we must expel all evil spirits tonight." Anton, who looked at everyone, said, "Now, I need everyone to be well aware of the requirements I must demand for you to stay here."

Rafael, who was taking care of the children, approached and said, "Rule number one: no one speaks unless they have something important to say. A single word from you can confuse us when expelling evil spirits, so it would be wise for you to stay quiet."

"Secondly, in the name of the Association of Light, an organization directly related to the Vatican, anything that happens here cannot be explained in the outside world." Rafael was firm with his words when stating this point. Many may have evidence of paranormal events like the Warrens, but what they were about to do here is more related to the darker world that very few should know about.

"And most importantly, any decision we make must be aware that we do it to eliminate evil in this house. By that, I mean that anything can happen."Rafael was not explicit with these words, but he meant that killing anyone who could be possessed is something that can happen.
