Solanne frowned, trying to understand what was going on. She tilted her head a little bit to the left, frowning. She was a little confused. Moreover, she couldn't deny the fact that she was offended.
Of course, who wouldn't be? He was looking at her as if she had done something disgusting. Has she done something that might offend and anger him? Was she annoying? From what she could recall, this was the first time she had seen and met him like this.
It's not every day you see an idol just passing by the streets or living with you, right? This opportunity( was this even an opportunity? Coincidence was the correct term) happened because of some weird coincidence and, furthermore, the pandemic.
Who would have thought, right?
Now, going back, has she done something that might offend or annoy him?
Looking back to her previous behavior…. Nothing was her answer.
Solanne heaved her breath. Were all actors and idols like him?
She shouldn't generalize.
Solanne felt the shivers on her spine. She realized how fake he was when he was interacting with his fans.
Right in her mind, she remembered all of the commercials she had seen on the television, even his fan meetings, where he had acted cute and harmless when facing his fans.
Wait, Or maybe he's like his because she didn't act like those fan girls he has? She's already past that age, but she admires some actors and idols. She knows it is not easy, but they earn the most money.
Does he think that when he has already reached the peak of life, all the other people around him are below him? Solanne, thinking she was the older person here, tried to shrug his gaze and continued looking for the cat's food.
While the dear idol and actor are outside, he is probably trying to find a better signal or contact with his manager.
As the door shut, Solanne felt a thorn in her throat ease up. "What does he think he is?" she mumbled, trying to control her anger and annoyance. She tried her best but couldn't help but roll her eyes.
"Just because he's an actor? Tsk. Just because he's famous? Just because he has a lot of money? Can he just look at other people like that? I'm so annoyed! Annoyed! Annoyed!" Solanne rolled her eyes once again, trying to calm her fuming rage. She can feel her blood boiling. She even feels like stabbing someone with a knife at this moment.
Does he think that he only has the right to act like that? They're in the middle of a pandemic. Solanne was trying her best not to think about anything as she could feel her anxiety rising up through her throat. Yet, the audacity?
"Meow!"
One sound coming from below eased everything that was on Solanne's mind.
She almost felt like crying, for her feelings were all mixed up together, not knowing what to feel and think, but when she looked down, she saw the cute cats looking at her with their eyes wide open, waiting for their food.
Solanne felt her heart stopped.
They just looked too innocent. It is too precious, and they shouldn't see this side of hers.
Solanne pulled herself once again. This time, a smile found her lips. Her voice sounded so thin as if she was talking to a baby. "Just wait a bit, okay? I'll prepare it right away."
The cats didn't meow back, but their eyes were expecting. Just the look on the face gives Solanne happiness.
She saw the can of wet food on the small shelve near the kettle. It was also next to the cat's dry food and some treats.
Looking at those stocks, the owner must have loved these cats.
Of course, who wouldn't be when they're this adorable.
Solanne grabbed one can and opened it. She evenly divided it for the two cats before finding their plates. Their food bowls were even elevated. How detailed and caring is that?
"Wow," Solanne's heart was moved.
Seeing how satisfied the cats were as they ate, Solanne also felt satisfied. She crouches down for a good few minutes, watching them with satisfaction. The orange tabby, whose name was Orin, was even purring. Was it that good?
With a smile on her face, Solanne stood up. She then grabbed a cup and made some coffee before sitting on the counter, pulling her phone out of her pocket and scrolling to social media, wanting to be updated on the virus and the pandemic.
There were many news and updates about the global health system, how many patients were flooding the hospitals, and the shortage of rooms and even medical supplies. Some medical healthcare workers have already shared their opinions about the pandemic and that they're the ones who were struggling the most.
The world was afraid.
Everyone was afraid.
As soon as Solanne scrolled down, she saw the news that there was no transportation available, however, there were still many people who were trying to come to work as they did not have the means to earn money if they did not work.
She couldn't help but feel her heart tighten up seeing the people being interviewed. They look so desperate and, at the same time, scared. Although some of them were hiding it with a smile, their eyes couldn't hide their feelings.
Solanne swallowed, staring at her phone for a while.
Some were forced to walk. Others were using bicycles. Still, there were many police roaming around, making sure that everyone should stay inside the house. Others were even apprehended. Many people protested the sudden lockdown, yet they were also afraid.
Fear…
Solanne bit her lips as she could no longer take this news. She felt afraid, and everything was so overwhelming that she just uninstalled all her social media.
She felt like a coward doing this. She felt like she was running away- no, she was really running away. But what can she do anyway? When she's also stuck here? In the middle of a province?
What can a person with no importance like her do in this situation?
Solanne doesn't want to think right now. She feels she's going insane if she keeps scrolling through her feed. Hence, after ensuring the cats were well-fed and still had their available water, She went upstairs, lay on the bed, and stared at the ceiling.
She wanted to empty her mind, yet the question popped out of nowhere, killing her with pressure and doubts.
'What are you going to do now?'
'You cannot run away forever?'
'Where will you get your income?'
As those thoughts flooded her mind, Solanne felt her body tremble. She swallowed again. This time, she can feel her heart sinking.
She can't describe the feeling.
It's dark.
Numb.
She feels like running but to where? It's endless; there's no destination. And that's even more painful.
Everything was too much to bear. Solanne was trying to hold herself back together, and this?
What should she do now?
Unsurprised, Solanne felt her eyes heat up as tears started coming out. She lets her eyes cry until she falls asleep.
Just as she sleeps, she can feel the warm wind through her windows, lulling her to sleep. As if telling her that she needed to rest and pause for a while.
She then remembered, subconsciously, a quote she once read. 'Nature is not anyone's ally nor someone's enemy.'

Solanne opened her eyes, and it was already dark outside. She grabbed her phone to check the time, which was already one morning. Just an hour passed midnight. She then touched her face as it felt sticky from all the crying she had done a moment ago.
After all that crying, she felt a little better, pushing aside her thoughts and looking at herself in the mirror. Seeing her puffy eyes, she tried to make a peace sign as she smiled, teasing herself for crying.
Still tired, she lay on the bed, looking at the ceiling, but it didn't last long as she could feel her stomach growing. She's too lazy to fix herself a proper meal, so she's planning to eat the noodles she saw in the kitchen cabinet earlier.
Without minding her sticky and puffy face, she heads out of her room, confident, thinking that her dearest actor and idol have already left the place and that she's alone here with the two cats.
Oddly, Solanne felt her happiness skyrocketing. Was this because she cried earlier? She can't help but grin as she goes down the stairs; her destination is the kitchen.
Only to see her dearest actor and idol sitting on the sofa; the orange cat was on his lap while the other cat was lying carefree beside him.
Suddenly, her smile died down. Uncontrollably, her face was crumpled.
"You're still here?"
Yael Lee looked up from his phone. He raised his right brow as he stopped petting the cat on his lap. There was an arrogant smirk on his face.
"Do you have any problem with that?"
