I don't own any property in this crossover, except for my OG character.
The orb loses its shine, the surrounding dimension returns back to its original state. "They have kept their word to this day and now their child takes on this responsibility without realizing it. His story is interesting, but how will his fate play out? Zelretch's words hung in the air, carrying the weight of the unknown and the promise of adventure that beckoned from the fringes of existence.
With a wry smile playing at the corners of his lips, he addressed the unseen audience with a whimsical flair. "Ah, but what is life without struggle? A mere existence devoid of purpose and passion. It is the trials we face and the obstacles we overcome that shape us into who we are."
As the echoes of his enigmatic musings reverberated through the cosmic chamber, Zelretch's gaze shifted, as if acknowledging an unspoken request for more. "Oh, you want to hear more, do you? Well then, perhaps there is yet another tale to be told, a chapter of Kio waiting to unfold in the records of time and space Let's peer into my pet project since it has been some time since I have looked at that kid. He reminds me of that Emiya kid Rin Tosaka brought around my counterparts, but younger." The book swiftly flips through its pages, the orb luminate brightly once again, the surrounding dimension transformed itself.
A new scene emerged, unveiling the breathtaking landscape of mist-covered peaks and verdant valleys. The tranquil beauty of the natural space enveloped the space, infusing the air with a sense of serenity and possibility.
In the heart of the tranquil mountain valley, Kio and Master Li Shuwen engaged in a rigorous sparring session, their movements a dynamic expression of the ancient art of Bajiquan. The valley, nestled between towering peaks, echoed with the rhythmic cadence of their strikes and the measured rhythm of their footwork.
Shuwen's seasoned expertise was evident as he seamlessly weaved intricate techniques and fluid transitions into his spar with Kio. With each move, he imparted the essence of his technique, guiding Kio to embody the art's raw power and precise control.
As they began their spar, the exchange was a flurry of motion, each strike and parry executed with precision and determination. Kio's movements were swift and agile, his strikes punctuated by controlled bursts of power, while Shuwen's responses were a seamless blend of grace and calculated force, his experience evident in every elegant movement. As this intense fight rages on in the vast valley of the Tianzi mountain.
As the battle raged on, sweat glistened on the boys' brows and the dirt beneath their feet bore the marks of their dynamic dance. The mountain valley itself seemed to respond to their exchange, with the vibrant colors of the surrounding flora providing a stark contrast to the intensity of their spar.
As their intense sparring session in the mountain valley reached its conclusion, it became apparent that Kio, despite his dedication and determination, was outmatched by Shuwen. In a final exchange of strikes, Kio found himself in a position of disadvantage, unable to evade a decisive blow from his master. "Bleed from all orifices! Suffer (read: Die) and be scattered! Wu Er Da (No Second Strike).
"Ah Cra-" Before the boy can finish his word, getting struck in his solar plexus by a palm strike. The force of the strike sent Kio sprawling backward, his body hitting the rocky wall with a crackling thud. Blood spews out of the boy's mouth and wounds. Dirt and dust were kicked up around him, marking the end of their intense spar.
While pain courses though-out his body, the boy pulling himself out the wall, knelling on the ground, sore all over. Kio, battered and bruised, knelt on the rocky terrain, feeling his muscles throbbing after the decisive strike from Master Li Shuwen. Blood stained his lips, and wounds marked the end of their intense spar.
"Have you forgotten what I have taught you, keep your emotions in check and a mind of steel" The old man chucking looking at the exhausted downed child.
"You senile old coot, I'm not a spirit. What would your conscience say about killing a 10-year-old?" Kio cries in mock anger. As Kio struggles to getting up, dust off his body, "I'd rather you not push me to the breaking point Garlic Gramps, you do know what Lady Nightingale would do to us if that were to happen." At this remark Shuwen looked like he finally crooked from old age at how pale he was.
("HAHAHAH, garlic gramps! That is the most bizarre thing I heard coming out of a child's mouth." my laughter vibrates though-out the empty space.)
"Stop calling me that ridiculous name you, belligerent child." smashing his fist onto Kio's head, "I'd appreciate the training if I were you, Hmph, children these days have no respect for their elders."
"Was it really necessary to hit me with your ultimate technique? I think you broke my ribs!" Li hearty laughter echoed through the training grounds, his response carrying a blend of amusement and a hint of pride. "Hahahaha! Yes, it is necessary, it means you need more training. If I wanted to kill you, you would have been dead as soon as we started." he remarked, his voice gruff yet filled with a sense of jester.
Kio, wincing in pain but still maintaining a sense of humor, shot a mock smirk at his master. "Well, next time, let's avoid the near-death experiences, OK? I'd like to keep all my bones intact." Shuwen chuckled, his demeanor shifting to a more serious tone. "Jokes aside, Kio, you showed great resilience today. Every defeat is a step toward improvement. Remember that in the journey of martial arts, there's always room for growth."
Kiyohime, who had been watching the spar from a distance, hurried over to Kio. Concern etched across her face; she inspected his injuries with a gentle touch. "Lord Shuwen, you really went all out this time," she scolded him, Shuwen merely grunted in response, a proud grin playing on his lips. "The lad needs toughening up. Life doesn't spare you just because you're young. That will be it for today, head back and rest up."
While exiting the mountain, on their way back to Kio's place. The young boy being carried on Kiyohime's back "A.R.C, I need one of the healing potions. The pain is too unbearable." The small fairy appears and hands a red vial to the poor boy. The child chugs down the elixir and lets out a sigh of respite. "Lord Anchin, wouldn't it be wise to get a checkup from Asclepius, Nightingale, and Nemo Nurse? Concerned the young girl.
"K-I-O, Kio not Anchin." correcting the noble lady. "Oh Lord Anchin, you do love your jokes. Hehehe" Kio's face slightly turned pale, sweat dripping from his forehead. Feeling a terrifying energy surrounding the girl.
"I would rather avoid Lady Nightingale when I am wounded. She is way too scary when she goes full nurse." Kio added, shuddering at the thought of facing Nightingale's hardcore medical care. Kiyohime feigned innocence, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "Oh, but I thought you enjoyed her company. After all, she's just trying to help you stay in one piece. You should be grateful."
Kio sarcastically retorts. "Easy for you to say. You're not the one getting scolded for every single scrape and bruises." Kiyohime giggles wholeheartedly "It is so adorable how your body tremble in fear." Kio growing slightly irritated, "I am not adorable. I am manly!"
Giggling under her breath. "As I said ADORABLE. Ah! here we are, home sweet home." They have reached a small villa near a lake. The young lady placed the boy down on a chair. "Please relax Lord Achin, I will prepare your lunch" She walks into the house humming a sweet tune. Kio sighed in relief, muttering to himself, "Finally! She is gone." Seizing the moment, he jumped back on his feet, gripping his silver cane. Not too far from his living quarters, he strolled to a lone hill crowned with a single tree. Finding solace beneath its branches, Kio sat down. Adopting a meditative pose, he focused his thoughts, and a subtle red glow enveloped his body. Suddenly, a melodic ringing sound echoed in his mind — Ding Dong Ding.
As the virtual display materialized in his head, A.R.C's announcement echoed through the serene surroundings. "Congrats, Kio, you've completed today's daily mission." A playful tone laced her words, accompanied by the soft applause of her hands. The holographic screen unfolded, revealing Kio's daily accomplishments in digital letters.
Daily Missions:
Warm-ups: 100%
Training: 100%
Academics: 100%
Concentration broken; Kio making an irritable face "Thank you A.R.C" said sarcastically. "Oh my, where you doing something important? She said with a mischievous grin. "*Sigh*, just give me the reward." A ball of light appeared in the boy's hand; the light dies down, revealing a medal. (With a grin, "Alright boy, this is where phase 2 begins. Do not disappoint me, everything I have done cannot be in vain. Prepare for Hell." Reclining back into his seat)
"That's strange? It is not a potion this time. What is it?" The fairy calls up another display screen, appraising this mysterious item.
Proof of Potential
Only those who can prove themselves worthy by collecting these artifacts can unlock the gates to the Dead Man Spire and ascend its zenith in pursuit of power sealed within.
Kio's face lit up with excitement at the prospect of power. "Power!" he exclaimed, his wide grin reflecting the thrill of the unknown. The fairy, equally enthused, chimed in with enthusiasm, "Oh, sounds exciting! Let's go! (Waku, Waku)" Her words were filled with the infectious energy of adventure. However, Kio remained in deep contemplation. "It is tempting, exploring the unknown and gaining treasure, but what information do you have on it, A.R.C?" Awkwardly, A.R.C spoke-out "I don't have any info on this dungeon. Hehehe" "What! The boy said surprised. "I am just a supporter, there are still a lot of things that I don't know about the –GUIDELINE-. Scratching his head in irritated way "Fine, we will deal with this later."
Kio plopped back down on the floor, he shifted his focus, delving into a state of deep meditation. His surroundings melted away as he sought a connection with the power within him. Memories of his family flood his mind, surrounded in darkness. The boy began to emit a soft glow, but this time, something different occurred—red crystals sprouted from his hands. They emerged like shards of rubies, forming a lattice around him.
In the center, a larger crystal began to take shape, radiating a pulsating crimson light. Its brilliance intensified with each passing moment, reflecting the immense potential within Kio. A mysterious figure had silently approached from behind. Cloaked in an ethereal aura, the man observed the unfolding manifestation. With a calm and steady presence, he gently placed his hand on Kio's shoulder, attempting to draw the boy's attention. The unexpected sensation shocked Kio, breaking his intense focus. The red crystals that he created cracked and fractured, releasing a surge of volatile energy. The eruption was both dazzling and violent, creating a radiant explosion that sent Kio and the mysterious figure tumbling down the hill.
Kio, laying on his back at the foot of the hill, *coughed*, a puff of smoke escaping his lips. The unexpected explosion left him disoriented and surprised. "What happened?" Amidst the lingering smoke, hearty laughter echoed. "HAHAHAHAHAHAH, marvelous. I've never seen anyone use their power like that before."
Startled, Kio turned toward the direction of the booming voice, pinpointing the source of the laughter. Through the dissipating smoke, the figure of a man gradually emerged. He was clad in a white cloak, adorned with armor that seemed to shimmer with an otherworldly glow. The man's eyes sparkled with amusement as he looked at Kio.
"Who are you?" Kio asked, rubbing his head as he tried to regain his bearings.
The cloaked man continued to chuckle, his laughter carrying a mysterious air. "Ah, apologies for the late introduction. My name is… well actually call me Mysterious Argo T." Kio raised an eyebrow, a hint of confusion on his face. "Mysterious... Argo... T?" he repeated, trying to make sense of the enigmatic name.
T maintained an enthusiastic look, his eyes glinting with a knowing spark. "Yes. Now that introduction are over." He lifts Kio under his arm. "Now, why don't we all go on an adventure!" "?" shocked the boy. The man looked at the fairy, when their eyes meet, an impish smile grew on the fairy's face. She pulled out the medal, activating it, a large gate appears before them. "Oi, What a minute! This is a horrible idea! We have no idea what's in there." Kio exclaimed; his voice filled with concern. T, seemingly undeterred, grinned and retorted, "That's the best part of an ADVENTURE!" Without waiting for further protests, he leaped through the gate.
As the trio adjusted to their new surroundings, the room revealed more of its features. Strange symbols adorned the walls, and the air carried a faint scent of magic. Before they could explore further, piles of wine bottles scattered around, and at the center lays a young girl, surrounded by an intoxicating atmosphere.
Looking at the trio with starry eyes and a wide grin. "Ah, welcome to the party!" She waved her hand dramatically, causing the air to shimmer with an invisible intoxication. The room seemed to sway as if caught in the embrace of the girl's inebriated charm. The scent of wine permeated the air, and the wine bottles around her seemed to multiply magically. "Now, let's celebrate your arrival properly! Here, have a sip!" She hands them a bottle, seemingly materializing them out of thin air.
Kio hesitated, holding the bottle in his hand, took a swig of it. The tang if the liquid burns his throat, *spit take* a sour taste and pungent aroma fills his senses, eyes swelled with tears. "WHAT THE-, its vinegar" The girl giggled in delight, her eyes twinkling with mischief. "Gotcha! Now, let me introduce myself properly. I am Fae Bell, the guide of this dreadful dungeon. I have been waiting for you, Little Kio."
As they walk down the corridor from the safe room, Fae Bell explains the peculiarities of the Dead Man Spire with an air of theatricality. The dimly lit passages seemed to respond to her presence, shadows dancing along the walls as she spoke. Fae Bell's voice, though light-hearted, carried an air of mystery. "This dreadful dungeon tower, Little Kio, holds secrets untold, challenges unmet, and wonders unseen. It has been waiting for someone like you, a traveler of fate, to unravel its power."
Kio, still recovering from the taste of vinegar, Argo T, who wore an amused expression. "What exactly are we supposed to do here, Fae Bell?" the boy said with a sceptic tone. Fae Bell twirled a strand of her gothic lolita attire, her eyes gleaming with mischief. "Ah, the Dead Man Spire is a place of survival, where the fabric of reality intertwines with the unexpected. Your goal, dear Kio, is to reach the top and defeat the God King." "The God King?" a mix of curiosity and apprehension crossing the boy's features.
Argo T, still with a grin on his face, chimed in, "Sounds like a grand adventure, doesn't it? Unlocking forgotten treasures, defeating a God King—what more could you ask for?" Fae Bell starts chuckling, "Hehehe, what more indeed," Fae Bell continued her chuckles, her eyes glinting mischievously. She snapped her fingers, the ground beneath Kio and T, without warning, a hole opened beneath them, swallowing the duo into an unexpected abyss. The sensation of freefall was brief but disorienting.
When Kio and T regained their bearings, they found themselves in an entirely different environment. A lush forest, green and trees as far as the eye can see. Kio and T began to trek though the new area. "Damn it," tripping as he makes his way throughout a forest. "Well Kio I think this is a very interesting dungeon I must say!" T exclaiming after he cut the roots Kio had around his ankle.
"Why the heck is there a forest inside of a dungeon? I hate this place." Kio yells out, frustrated by this predicament. T glances back at him in worry "We are in a dimensional dungeon that we entered in from your mysterious system." he explains dryly while moving over to help Kio to his feet, "Of course there is going to be weird stuff happening." A sensation creeps along Kio's back.
"Hello again little Kio how is your dungeon diving?" Fae Bell exclaimed with the upmost interest. *shiver* "What the heck Fae Bell, I thought you were supposed to guide us not wander off and come back whenever you feel like it." Kio states internally wary of Fae Bell if that was even her name's presence. Her body, no her presence brought a cryptic feeling to those around her, like she was not welcome anywhere.
"Oh, cry me a river. I am not your babysitter, but I will give you some more help and a brief explanation." her smug smile and her stary eyes trying to look endearing made the boy recoil away, " First; blah blah dungeon, second; blah blah make you stronger, finally; blah blah kill yourself, blah bla" "Kill Myself!?" The boy shocked by the sudden declaration.
"Hmm what do you mean? I didn't say that" She looked confused, but that only made her seem more untrustworthy. The stench of alcohol that permeated was the only confirmation he needed. "Here you go a nice metal pipe for you to kill your enemies. Before you say that this is too weak, a modern mage should be able to turn anything into a weapon. Actually, I remember a hearing a story about a certain red hair boy that used one during his adventures, if you're interested?"
He grabs the pipe from her hand, even more confused at Fae Bell's intentions "No, I am fine without an explanation. We should get going now so buzz of!" Her displeasure was palpable as he turned away "Who were you talking to?" T states as Kio turns back to his companion. Kio shows signs of confusion "Fae Bell! Remember? she is right there uh-," As he turns back towards Fae Bell, he noticed that the mysterious girl has disappeared with nothing, not even a wisp of alcohol left in her wake.
*growl*As the trio once again whips around to see a group of blue malformed looking creatures with, red eyes, a grotesque nose, scrawny, and a distorted maw. Their gaze piercing into Kio as it roars, spittle flying like bullets onto the forest floor a menacing aura incapsulating the area. "Damn I feel like I'm going to get whiplash if I keep turning my head like this, also I'm kind of under and overwhelming "WOW! These things are ugly, and I mean really ugly. Aren't they supposed to be green as well, this is just fucken ridicules." A.R.C laughs hysterically. "Hey, language" the boy told the little fairy hovering around him.
"Enough racism and get your head in the game. This isn't the time for chit chat, its time to fight." T yells out. Kio lifts the pipe over his shoulder to prepare for the onslaught. The forest around them becomes a chaotic battlefield as the creatures charge, their distorted forms closing in on the trio. T, with a stern expression, states, "I won't help you in any battle, Kio. You need to prove your strength and face these challenges on your own."
Undeterred, Kio charges into the fray, swinging the metal pipe with determination. The creatures surround him, their distorted forms closing in. Kio fights with everything he has, dodging attacks, parrying with the pipe, and delivering precise strikes to these monsters. The battle is intense, and the forest echoes with the clang of metal against their bodies. Kio fights with a tenacity born out of necessity. The creatures, however, prove to be formidable opponents, each strike demanding both skill and resilience, all what he learned for the past 2 years he has been training.
After a strenuous effort, Kio emerges victorious. The creatures lie defeated, dropping a few potions, a dagger, and various materials—bones, fangs, and claws. Kio, breathing heavily, tending to his wounds. T, acknowledging Kio's achievement, finally breaks his silence. "You handled that well. It seems you're growing stronger. Make sure to gather those materials; they might come in handy later." As A.R.C flies closer to inspect the monster bodies, a sound went off in her head. "Oh, this is nice! Kio my analysis program has been upgraded."
Kio, still catching his breath. "Upgraded? What does that mean?"
A.R.C grins, "It means I can provide you with more detailed information about anything. It's a significant enhancement to our capabilities." T interjects, "That could be useful. Knowing your enemy is key to survival, especially in dungeons like this one." Kio nods, realizing the value of having an improved analysis tool. "Alright, A.R.C, let's put that upgrade to good use. Anything specific you've found in your analysis of these creatures?"
A.R.C scans the fallen monsters and projects holographic data in the air.
Goblin (Deathless)
STR: E LUK: E ME: F
AGIL: E END: C
A.R.C tells the details to Kio, with a questioning look on his brow. "Deathless? What's that?" The fairy could not say a thing for the term is unfamiliar to her. The blond man interjects. "By the word alone, it sounds something akin to immortality! But by the looks of these goblins that doesn't seem to be the case." As he examines the corpses, Kio and A.R.C converse among themselves. "What are these potions and bones used for? A.R.C responds, "The potions seem to contain a concoction that enhances physical strength. You can use them to boost your combat capabilities when needed. As for the bones, claws, and fangs, they can be utilized for weapon enhancement. You'll be able to improve your weapons with these materials, making them stronger." "And what of the dagger, anything special about it? The boy asked.
The fairy perplexed "It nothing extraordinary, but it's described as "Forged in the fires of a forgotten realm, this steel dagger bears the weight of countless battles." belonging to a woman named Isaline."
As A.R.C finishes her explanation, a peculiar phenomenon occurs. Light emanates from the goblin corpses, shooting up and flying in one path. T notices the anomaly, notifying the boy. "Looks like there's more to this dungeon than meets the eye. The direction that lights are heading might lead us to something significant. We must follow it?" They make their way deeper into the forest, led by T. "Damn it, I lost them!" He scratches the back of his head in frustration. The forest, with its twisting pathways and dense vegetation, seems to have swallowed the elusive lights. Kio, relying on his heightened senses, concentrates. "I can still sense them," he says, a determined look on his face. "We're on the right path."
T, intrigued by Kio's skill, nods in agreement. The blind boy takes the lead, navigating the forest with caution. The air becomes charged with an otherworldly energy as they press on, following the unseen trail. After what feels like an eternity, they emerge into a clearing, the residual lights converging on a massive tree in the center of a wide-open space. T marvels at the sight. "Well, I'll be damned. This must be the heart of the dungeon."
T suddenly grabs the boy by his collar, pulling him back just in time. *growl* echoes through the clearing, and a creature dive bomb off the tree, crashing right where Kio had been standing. "What is that?" the boy said bewildered. "That is a Hobgoblin! A stronger variant of the monsters you fought earlier." The creature makes a dash towards Kio, the boy, relying on his heightened senses, readied his weapons – the steel pipe in one hand and the dagger in the other.
The hobgoblin lunged forward with surprising speed, its claws slashing through the air. As the creature attempted a sweeping strike, Kio countered with the pipe, deflecting the blow and creating an opening. Wielding the dagger, he countered with a swift series of strikes aimed at the hobgoblin's vital points. The monster, although formidable, defended itself from the attack.
The creature staggered, a pained growl escaping its monstrous maw. Seizing the opportunity, Kio pressed on, delivering a relentless barrage of attacks. However, the hobgoblin, ever resilient managed to counter Kio's assault. It retaliated with a powerful swipe, landing a few hits on Kio. The blind boy, though momentarily stunned, quickly regained his composure.
The skirmish between Kio and the hobgoblin continued, the two locked in a close quarter combat of will. Kio's senses allowed him to anticipate the creature's movements, but the hobgoblin's sheer strength and durability posed a formidable challenge. This intense exchange went on for a while, with Kio pushing his limit. The hobgoblin, sensing the ebb and flow of the battle, decided to retreat to the safety of the tree.
As the hobgoblin retreated, the forest seemed to come alive with malevolent energy. Goblins, emerged from the shadows, attempting to ambush Kio. Their crude weapons gleamed in the faint glow of the clearing as they closed in on the boy. Kio, surrounded by the nimble goblin horde, expertly wielded his weapons, the pipe and dagger dancing through the air as he fended them off. The forest echoed with the clash of steel and the guttural cries of the goblins.
Meanwhile, in the safety of the massive tree, the hobgoblin observed Kio from afar. Analyzing the boy's movements, it recognized a formidable opponent. However, its attention soon shifted to the group of residual lights emanating from the defeated goblins. A sinister grin crept across the hobgoblin's face as it focused on the collection of ethereal glows. T, standing at a distance, felt an uneasy vibe in the air. Sensing the impending danger, he turned to A.R.C. "Hey, little fairy, analyze those lights. I've got a bad feeling about this."
A.R.C, her virtual display flickering with urgency, quickly assessed the situation. "These lights are souls, T. They're the essence of the defeated creatures." T's eyes widened, realizing the significance of the situation. He understood the hobgoblin's cunning plan. "Kio, be careful!" Kio, finishing off the last of the goblins with a decisive strike, shifted his focus to the airborne hobgoblin. With a despite howl, the hobgoblin leaped into the air, It opened its grotesque maw, swallowing the collection of souls. The forest trembled as the hobgoblin underwent a transformation while descending back to the ground.
The energy infused the hobgoblin with newfound power, its muscles bulging and its eyes gleaming with a malevolent glow. The once-formidable opponent had now become a monstrous force. This thing very existence sends dread though out the boy's body. The forest trembled as the empowered hobgoblin lunged at Kio with ferocity. Its claws tore through the air with a malevolent force, striking Kio with unrelenting blows. The boy fought valiantly, but the sheer strength of the hobgoblin overwhelmed him.
With a brutal swipe, the hobgoblin knocked Kio through the dense foliage of the forest. The impact sent him crashing into the trees, and he found himself buried under the debris, pain coursing through his body. Amidst the agony and disarray, memories of a painful past surged within Kio's consciousness. The echoes of a lost home, the anguish of separation, and the determination to survive against all odds fueled a fire within him. Kio gritted his teeth. "I will not die here," he yell out at the top of voice.
With gritted teeth, Kio vowed that this time, he would not succumb to despair, he will continue to move forward.
Back at the giant tree, the hobgoblin attacks T violently. He dodges with the speed of an experienced fighter.
In a swift moment, T saw an opening. With great precision, he struck the monster's chest, sending it hurtling toward the massive trunk of the great tree. The impact resonated with a sickening thud, and the hobgoblin, momentarily stunned, struggled to regain its composure. For a moment, T clenched his arm with his other hand, as if he was full of regret.
Seizing the opportunity, T yelled out to Kio. "Kio, this is your moment! You have a choice to make— Forget Everything And Run or Face Everything And Rise! It all depends on you alone!" Summoning every ounce of willpower, Kio pushed himself out from the debris. "A.R.C, the strength potions—now!" he commanded, his voice resolute. The fairy swiftly responded, producing the vials of strength-enhancing elixirs. Without hesitation, Kio consumed them all, the potent liquid coursing through his veins, revitalizing his battered body.
STR: F E
He sprints back towards the battle; noticing the hobgoblin coming out of the tree and primed the pipe in his hand.
Aura surrounds his body, flowing though his arm, into the pipe. The red crystals materialize, turning it into a spear. With all his might, he threw his weapon, soaring though the air like a comet. It struck the hobgoblin with a resounding impact, piercing though its side and impaling itself against the ancient trunk. The creature roared in agony; its struggle intensified by the unexpected assault. Seizing the opportunity, Kio, with the dagger in hand, rushed toward his immobilized enemy. The blade, too, was now enveloped in the same aura, the manifestation of Kio's will. As he closed in on the hobgoblin, a sense of determination radiated from him—a palpable aura to survive.
The battle between Kio and the hobgoblin intensified, each clash resonating through the forest. T, observing the unfolding spectacle, noticed something unusual about Kio's demeanor. There was a subtle, unsettling smile on the boy's face, a glint of something unnatural. T couldn't help but feel a twinge of uncertainty, a realization that there was more to Kio than being an ordinary child.
The battle reached the climax as Kio, fueled by will, launched a series of swift and calculated strikes at the hobgoblin's vital points. His dagger, aglow with his aura, cut through the air, breaking the sound barrier. However, the creature, fueled by its unnatural power, showed no signs of slowing down. Its movements were fluid, almost invisible. In a sudden and unexpected turn, the hobgoblin's arms moved with a speed that defied Kio's senses. The young boy, caught off guard by the supernatural agility of his foe, found himself unable to evade the monster's relentless assault. The creature's limbs closed in like a vice, ensnaring Kio in a crushing grip.
The air filled with the sounds of strained breaths and the tightening of muscles as the hobgoblin applied pressure, squeezing Kio's small frame. Pain surged through the boy's body; every fiber of his being protests against the merciless force crushing him. The forest, once echoing with the clash of steel, now bore witness to a desperate struggle for survival.
As the hobgoblin reveled in its perceived triumph, Kio's screams pierced the air. The creature, driven by a sadistic euphoria, relished in the suffering it inflicted upon the weakened child. Just as the hobgoblin believed it had secured its victory, a sudden eruption of crystal shards and flame shattered the triumphant moment. The creature staggered back, bewildered, as if reality itself had betrayed its victory.
As the hobgoblin struggled to comprehend the unexpected turn of events, Kio, battered and burned, rushing towards the monster, his body cries in pain with every step.
With a burst of energy, the boy dashed towards the creature's chest, the remnants of aura crystals swirling behind him. Before the crystals could fully materialize, Kio disrupted their foundation, triggering a cascade of explosions that enveloped both him and the hobgoblin. The forest trembled as the explosive chain reaction propelled the duo forward, -IMPACT-, crashing into the tree with an earth-shaking crash. The hobgoblin, caught off guard and weakened by the explosion, found itself impaled by the very pipe that Kio had thrown earlier, inches away from the boy's face. The hobgoblin vanishes without a trace, the souls that were collected, shot up to the sky and disappear. Though battered and worn, he stood triumphant amidst the smoke.
(Impressive, only after 2 years of training he gotten this strong, like father like son. Now don't break him too much, Fae Bell!)
Floor Cleared
In the aftermath, a sword materialized where the once-imposing hobgoblin had stood, a stark contrast to the monstrous presence that had dominated the forest. Kio, catching his breath, grabbed the newly materialized sword, it felt calming in his grasp, proof that he survived once again. A familiar voice speaks with other worldly nature, "Well, well, Kio," she began, her tone carrying a playful cadence, "I must say, you've managed to survive quite admirably in this treacherous floor. I didn't expect you to be quite so... resilient. Bravo on surviving, I suppose. But you have a long climb ahead of you to reach the top. Hope you can keep up." Her tone held a hint of condescension, making it clear that, in her eyes, Kio's accomplishments were noteworthy, albeit accompanied by a touch of sardonic amusement. She continues clapping, echoing throughout the forest.
"I'd appreciate the praise if it didn't come with the strings" he replied with a touch of sarcasm. Despite the acknowledgment of his survival, the unpleasantness of Fae Bell's words didn't escape him. With a nonchalant shrug, he struggles to limp away, but she got right into his face, pushing down to the ground, and pressing her foot on his chest "Don't let this victory get to your head, this was the weakest boss here. It's like this, a pecking order of sorts: There's you, the dirt, the worms, your useless friend, the God King, and finally yours truly. So, you better get stronger, or you'll be fucked."
As she continues to grind her foot down on the boy, T clutched the little girl by her collar, lifting her up in the air. "That's enough, little one. He did a good job in clearing this floor and you know it," T asserted, his voice firm. Fae Bell, suspended in the air by T's grip, shot him a deadly glare before grinning mischievously. "Very well, let's call it a day then. But remember, Kio, the challenges ahead will only get much more difficult. Do not disappoint."
As Fae Bell vanished in a burst of light, Kio, T, and A.R.C found themselves back in the Throne. "I do not like her, not at all." the boy grunted. T chuckled in agreement, a knowing glint in his eyes. "Fae Bell is an enigma, that's for sure. She brings a mix of chaos and amusement. You cannot predict what she'll do next. It's like she's playing a game with rules only she knows." A.R.C perched herself on Kio's head, "She is bad news, that's for sure. Keep you guard up."
As they continue to talk with one another, the air around T shifted, "Kio, tell me. How did it feel to kill the creatures in that place?" T's question hung in the air, carrying with it an undercurrent of something deeper. Kio, caught off guard by the sudden shift in the conversation, furrowed his brow in thought. "At first, it felt... disturbing," he began, his voice carrying a touch of uncertainty. "I mean, I knew they were monsters, part of that dungeon, but they felt real, you know? Each one had its own presence, its own existence."
T nodded, a somber acknowledgment in his eyes. "I understand. It's not easy, especially when you're faced with creatures that seem sentient, even if they're not. A burden placed upon you." T's gaze softened, a subtle relief in his eyes. "It's okay to feel that way, Kio. Defeating those creatures doesn't make you heartless. It's a part of survival, to kill or be killed. A survivor's burden." His eyes, his voice filled with sorrow.
Kio, absorbing T's words, nodded slowly. "Yeah, I understand. It's just... I need to be stronger. I don't want to feel helpless; I want to protect those that can't protect themselves." T crack a smile, hitting Kio in the back. "A noble goal. Noble indeed. Never forget that feeling Kio. I am certain that you will make a fine warrior in the future." "I won't!" the boy said in gusto.
While they continue, something made Kio's hair stand on end. Before he turned his head, he was pulled back by his shirt. An imposing figure hauled him along. "N-N-N-Nightingale!" Kio stammered as he was being hauled away by the nurse. "I've heard that you been pushing yourself a little too hard, Kio." her eyes turned red, anger that can be felt in the air. "Hold on a minute, Head Nurse. I can explain." he says, trying to communicate with her, but she refuses to listen. "No excuses! We are going to your house for immediate medical attention." Kio was taken away, screaming.
"All's well, that ends well. I guess?" T questioning himself after what he just witness. "You think so?" said Kiyohime standing behind him. Showing a smile that is threatening on all levels, she folds her fan "BURN" she said terrifyingly. Flames burst out of her mouth, T runs with all his might, away from the raging fire. "How dare you kidnap Lord Anchins! You shall be punished" She chases him throughout the meadow.
Kio and Nightingale are back at his villa, the nurse straps the boy to his bed and prepares to heal him. "Really, Head Nurse. I am fine, there is no need to go this extreme." The boy pleads to the nurse to let him go. "Nonsense, I've warned you many times about overexerting yourself, and what do I find? You! Bruised all over, and what's this! a giant handprint. FOR GOD'S SAKE, you're still a child" She says in anger. Kio response, full of sorrow "I'm sorry, Nightingale. I just…." placing her finger on his lips, she interjects. "I know, just promise that you won't get yourself killed." "I promise." he says
As they continue with the treatment, a notion of brilliance came to A.R.C. She gets close to Nightingale and initiates a scan without anyone's awareness. She was astonished by what she discovered.

"What the- This doesn't make any sense. Maybe, the further up we go, the more programs I'll unlock. What is the true purpose of the Dead man Spire? She ponders.
The orb loses its shine one last time, the surrounding dimension returns to its original state. "Are you satisfied? Did that quench your curiosity? That boy has a long treacherous journey ahead of him, and he needs to give everything he has, to survive in his home world. Well, my dear spectators with this I say good-bye."
Closing his book, the old prepares to rest, suddenly a voice screech out "Hey, old man. I am bored! Let's do something fun." In an annoyed sign, "I told you not to leave the tower. Fae Bell!" he scolded her, clearly annoyed by her impromptu appearance. She appears behind Zelretch, with a sulked face. "Little Kio hasn't visited me since he completed the tower." Zelretch sighed, knowing that dealing with Fae Bell's whims could be a challenge. "Fine, fine. Go back to the tower, and I'll send something interesting your way later. I'm a bit busy right now."
Fae Bell agreed reluctantly but couldn't resist a parting comment. "You know, Kio will never awaken to his true potential unless he does what needs to be done. Just a reminder, old man." Sneering at the girl. "Don't waste your breath and begone." She disappears back into the void. The old man lays back in his throne, staring into the empty space, one word escaping his lips. "Survive."
