The Throne of Heroes, a transcendent realm that exists beyond the boundaries of time and space. A place where the greatest heroes and villains of history are enshrined, a record of their legend, myth, and lore all contained within their very soul.
Like Pangea, a massive continent that serves as the home of the heroes and villains who reside within the Throne. The landscape is diverse, with towering mountains, sprawling forests, scorching deserts, and snow lands, all existing in perfect balance. The Mooncell, a massive universal supercomputer, is located in the center of the supercontinent.
Kio stood on the grassy plains of Greece, surrounded by lush forests and rolling hills that stretched as far as the eye could see. With a cane in hand, he continues his warm-up exercises, his mind focused on the movements of his body as he stretched and twisted in preparation for the day ahead. But suddenly, the peaceful scene was shattered by a deafening roar as a hail of arrows rained down upon him. Without hesitation, Kio sprang into action, his instincts taking over as he leapt and twisted, dodging and deflecting the arrows with lightning-fast movements, with some minor cuts.
"Looks like you almost caught me off guard, Lady Atalante," Kio said, a hint of amusement in his voice.
"You're getting a bit sloppy, Kio," Atalante taunted, her eyes piercing through him. "You're going to have to do better than that if you want to survive. You are starting from the basics."
"Yes ma'am" the student replied energetically.
She had Kio do some stretches to loosen up his muscles. Then, she had him do some basic moves such as jumping jacks and push-ups to increase his heart rate. Once the warm-ups were done, Atalante reminded Kio on how to improve his agility and reflexes. She had him practice dodging and weaving through an obstacle course of trees, boulders, and ropes. Atalante shot arrows at him to increase the difficulty level, which Kio expertly dodged and evaded.
Once her training session was done, Kio took a seat on a rock to catch his breath. "How are you feeling, Kio? she asked. "I am good, I would have probably be dead if all of you had not supported me." He responded.
As Atalante and Kio talk about tips on how to improve his speed, a woman called out to the boy. "Lord Kio?, Lord Kio? Can you hear me?"
Kio stood up and shouted, "I am over here Lady Kiyohime." The young woman appeared before them making a slight irritated face. "Lord Kio, mind explaining why you did not wait for me to fetch you for today's training schedule?"
"Uh well um, you see. I was feeling a little restless today, so I went for a run." He said nervously.
"As your assistant, it is my job to make sure that everything is done on time, and you don't get yourself seriously hurt" She says while typing on a tablet.
"Oh, woe is me!, what would I do without you? " My Dear Lady" He said playfully.
Kiyohime sighed, "Just promise me that you won't leave me behind, Lord Kio. Now your schedule is out of order, You were supposed to train with Quetzalcoatl on lucha libre, not Atalante."
"Ok, Ok I promise. But things happened while I was out running." He said. "Well, we need to get going before you get hit with divine judgment." she responded.
Kio and Kiyohime were about to head out, when Atalante "Kio, remember what I said about focusing your energy to your leg as a whole and reinforce your bones, nerves, and muscles at the same time." "Alright, I will keep that in mind, see you later Lady Atalante" he yelled out. Kio followed the instruction of this teacher; he focused his inner energy (kai, chi, qi, aura…etc.) into his legs and took off running. Kiyohime burst into flames and transformed into a green eastern dragon. Following Kio towards Meso-America, Atalante laying on the grass, looking up at the sky. "You have come so far, young one, I'll be praying for your success."
Kio ran as fast as he could across the diverse landscapes of the Throne, passing through various regions, each with its unique environment. He felt the thrill of the wind on his face as he ran, and he could hear his heart pounding in his chest. Kiyohime was right behind him, calling out to him to hurry up. As he ran, Kio began to feel the fatigue of his previous training catching up with him. He slowed down a little to catch his breath, and Kiyohime caught up to him.
"Are you alright, Kio?" she asked, concerned.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Just a little tired," Kio replied, breathing heavily.
"We need to keep going. We don't want to keep Quetzalcoatl waiting, here get on my back I'll fly you the rest of the way" Kiyohime said.
Getting his second wind, Kio jumped on her back, and they took to the sky. After a while, they finally arrived at the Meso-American region, where Quetzalcóatl was waiting for them on the side of the temple along with Jaguarman at the base.
"Welcome, Kio, Kiyohime" Quetzalcóatl greeted them eerily. "I see that you are ready for your lucha libre training. "
"She is making that face again, isn't she?" Kio said to himself "Yes, I am ready. Let's get started." "Oh me, Oh my, what an ecstatic Niño we have here." She chuckled.
"Nya, everyone is getting fired up with the power of youth, let's have a good clean fight." Jaguarman said.
The sound of a bell ranged out, and the goddess vanished in an instance. Kio was hit with a lariat to his neck but blocking it with his arms. The force knocked him back a couple of feet. "Wow muy bien, Well done Kio" she said. "Thank you, Lady Quetzalcóatl, but I feel like you might be upset about something" he answered.
"Oh mi amor, big sis is not upset, just disappointed" Quetzalcóatl gave off a terrifying aura when saying that.
"Oh Shit"
Quetzalcóatl takes the initiative, launching herself forward with a flying kick. Kio counters with a quick sidestep and a grab, attempting to take her down with a hip toss. Quetzalcóatl flips out of the way and lands on her feet, spinning around to face Kio with a smile. They trade a few quick strikes, each trying to gain an advantage. Kio lands a solid punch to Quetzalcóatl's rock-hard abs, but she responds with a quick knee to his ribs. Kio grunts in pain but manages to block her next attack, catching her leg and sending her crashing to the ground.
Quetzalcóatl got back up in a flash, leaping back to her feet and launching herself at Kio with a flurry of punches and kicks. Kio blocks most of the blows, but a few got through, making him stagger backwards.
Quetzalcóatl takes advantage of Kio's momentary weakness, grabbing him and executing a perfectly executed suplex. Kio lands hard on his back. Kio manages to get back to his feet, and the two fighters continue their fast-paced battle. They trade blows, each landing a few good shots before the other counters. Quetzalcóatl gets in a few more takedowns and throws, but Kio manages to keep up with her, using his quick reflexes and agility to avoid some of her attacks. Quetzalcóatl grabbed Kio's arm and twisted it behind his back, forcing him to the ground. She held him there, waiting for him to give up, but Kio refused. He struggled and squirmed, breaking free from her grasp. Focusing his energy to his legs, Kio managed to get behind Quetzalcóatl and knocked her to the ground.
Kio's legs propelled him high into the air, and he soared like an eagle above Quetzalcóatl. He spread his arms wide and let out a fierce battle cry, "SKYHIGH RIDER-BUSTER JUSTICE BOMB!!!" With his fists clenched, he prepared to strike. Quetzalcóatl, caught off guard by Kio's sudden attack, getting to her feet and bracing for impact. As Kio descended, "JUSTICE!!!" he stretched his body out and aimed his descent directly at her. The impact of the attack was explosive, sending shockwaves through the air and causing the ground to shake. When everything settled, Kio found himself being carried by Quetzalcóatl (bridal style).
"You lose again, chico" smiled the goddess. After the intense Lucha Libre training, Kio laid on the ground, exhausted and defeated. Quetzalcóatl approached him, offering her hand to help him up.
"Good match, Kio. You fought well," she said with a smile.
Kio groaned, his body aching all over. "Thank you, Lady Quetzalcóatl. But I couldn't beat you. I'm just not strong enough."
Quetzalcóatl placed a hand on his shoulder. "Don't worry, Kio. Strength comes with training and experience. You just need to keep pushing yourself and never give up." Kio took her words to heart, feeling encouraged by them. "YES, Lady Quetzalcóatl. I'll keep training and get stronger. I won't give up."
Quetzalcóatl nodded. "That's the spirit. Remember, you have great potential within you. You just need to awaken it."
"That right believe in her that believe in you, nya" Jaguarman yelled out
With those words, Quetzalcóatl and Jaguarman walked away, leaving Kio to contemplate her advice. He knew he had a long way to go in his training, but he was determined to break his limits.
As Kio walked back to his base to wash up, he felt a sudden weight on his shoulders. It was Jack the Ripper perched on top of him, grinning happily.
"Papa, you're finally back!" Jack exclaimed, tightening her grip on Kio's head.
Kio chuckled, clasping her hand. "Hey there, Jack. you're as energetic as ever."
Jack nodded eagerly, then turned to Kiyohime who was walking behind them. "Oh, and hello to you too, Miss Kiyohime! I was going to invite papa to a tea party, do you want to come?" Kiyohime looked surprised at the sudden invitation, but then smiled warmly. "I would love to, Jack." "Let me clean up first, I kind of stink." Kio entered his private quarters, a small villa of stone and metal. Completed with the living essentials needed for a single person.
After taking a shower, Kio meets up with Jack and Kiyohime. Jack led them both to a small clearing where a group of children spirits were gathered. They had set up a makeshift tea party with little cups and saucers and were chattering excitedly.
"Everyone, look who I brought!" Jack announced, pulling Kio and Kiyohime into the group. There was Nursery Rhyme reading her book next to Jeanne D' Arc Alter Lily. Abigail Williams enjoying a stack of pancakes, smothered in butter and syrup. Ibaraki-Doji stuffing her face with a mountain of sweets. Illyasviel and Chloe Von Einzbern, Miyu Edelfelt and Paul Bunyan were making flower crowns in a field of flowers. Empress Wu Zetian is arguing with Stheno and Euryale over Medusa.
When they heard Jack, they stopped what they were doing and greeted both guests. They all gathered around on a giant blanket, under a big tree. Beni-Enma, Boudica, and Tamamo-Cat arrived carrying teas and sweets. As they all took a seat, Jack sat in Kio's lap.
"This is the best seat there is" she giggled. "That's cheating, Jack" they all cried.
As Jack rested on Kio's lap, the other spirits circled around them. "I should sit on Kio's lap, he's my reindeer," Jeanne D'Arc Alter Lily said, trying to pull Jack off. "No way, we are the one who invited him!" Jack retorted, clinging onto Kio's shirt.
"Well, I am the only empress here and the most elegant one. It's only natural that I sit on his lap," Empress Wu Zetian chimed in, flicking her hair. The argument continued as Kio tried to calm them down, but to no avail.
As spirits gathered around, each one vying for his attention. Nursery Rhyme, with her cheerful demeanor, tugged at Kio's shirt, pleading for him to read her a story. Jeanne D' Arc Alter Lily latched herself on Kio's back giggling. Abigail Williams, with her shy smile, quietly asked Kio if he wanted to play a game with her. Illya and Chloe, the mischievous duo, giggled and whispered amongst themselves, trying to come up with a plan to catch Kio's attention. Miyu, the reserved and quiet one, sat patiently by Kio's side, waiting for her turn to speak.
Meanwhile, Paul Bunyan, grew big, towering over the others, leaned down to Kio, asking if he wanted to enjoy riding on her shoulder while she walks through the land. Empress Wu stood regally beside Kio, watching disorder unfold with amusement. Stheno and Euryale bickered amongst themselves, arguing if they should sit on Kio's other knee or have him on all fours and sit on top. Medusa, trying to keep the peace between everyone. Beni-Enma, Boudica, and Tamamo-Cat were giggling.
The noise and commotion escalated as each spirit tried to outdo the other to gain Kio's attention. In the end, Kio found himself surrounded by a sea of colorful personalities, each one clamoring one after another. Though overwhelmed, he couldn't help but feel grateful for their company and the warmth they brought to his life.
"You seem to be enjoying yourself, Kio" a small fairy said while perching herself on his shoulder. "Good afternoon, Arc, not sleeping in this time? He retorts. "Why would I? Missing this is out of the question. Although, it is still hard to believe that a punk like you becoming quite the ladies' man" the little fairy snickers.
Kio chuckled as Arc teased him about his popularity among the girls. He took a sip of his tea and replied, "It's not like that, Arc. They're just my friends." Arc giggled mischievously, "Sure, Kio. If you say so." Kiyohime, who was sitting behind him, said, "Kio it is almost time for your next meeting with Lord Yagyu Munenori" while looking at her tablet.
"Alright, then let's head out." Kio finished drinking his tea and made his way to the next training session. Jack and the others waved at them as he departs, yelling that they should play next time. Waving back, Kio started running with Kiyohime following suit. When they arrived in Japan, Kio was surprised to sense Minamoto-no-Raikou and Sakata Kintoki waiting for him at the border. Raikou immediately ran up to him, enveloping him in a tight hug, treating him like her own child. Kio couldn't help but feel embarrassed as Raikou smothered him in her motherly love.
Kintoki, standing a few feet away, watched the scene unfold with a worried look on his face. "Boss, he is going to suffocate if you hold him that tightly" he said. Kio blushed and tried to push Raikou away gently. "Um, Lady Raikou, I am happy you still feel this way about me, but as I keep telling you, I am not your child" he said awkwardly. Raikou simply laughed, ruffling Kio's hair. "Nonsense, of course you are. Now, what brings you to our region, my dear child?"
"Training with Lord Yagyu Munenori" he replied. "Oh me, Oh my, it fill my heart with joy to see my son constantly grow up big and strong. It makes mama soooo happy" she cried out. "Now, now, Boss, there is no need to go overboard" Kintoki said.
"Shall we go, Kio? We don't want to keep Lord Munenori waiting" Kiyohime reminded him. "My, My, may we come with you to watch" Raikou asked. "Sure" he replied.
As they walk through a forest of cheery blossoms, they reached a small clearing, where an old man meditates near a waterfall. Calm and serene. "Ah, you made it. Are you ready? Boy" the old man said. "Yes, I am Lord Munenori." Kio replied. "Good, this time we will not be using wooden swords." Yagyu drew his katana from his waist in preparation for the fight. "Yes sir, Arc, if you please?" Kio placed both of his hands on the left side of his waist, a gathering of silver particles centers at his hand. A katana takes form, The blade was sharp and deadly, with intricate engravings etched into the metal. Kio grasped the hilt of the sword tightly and swung it in a wide arc, the sound of metal echoes throughout the forest.
Kio and Yagyu found themselves standing in a lush, picturesque landscape near the magnificent waterfall. The rushing sound of cascading water filled the air, creating a serene and peaceful ambiance. It was in this natural sanctuary that they had decided to engage in this spar session, the master deciding to test his student's skills.
With a respectful bow, Kio and Yagyu positioned themselves a few meters apart, focused on each other. The mist from the waterfall danced around them, adding an ethereal touch to the scene. As the spar began, Kio and Yagyu moved with smooth precision, their swords clashing and ringing out in the air. Their movements were like a well-choreographed dance, each strike and parry executed with expertise and finesse.
Kio, fueled by determination and the perception of his surroundings, tapped into his inner strength. He unleashed a series of lightning-fast attacks, his sword whirling through the air with incredible speed. Yagyu, ever the experienced swordsman, deflected each blow with a calm and composed demeanor, his own strikes carrying the weight of a lifetime of training.
Their swords shimmered in the sunlight, reflecting the dancing water droplets. The rhythm of their spar mirrored the rhythm of the waterfall, creating a harmonious symphony of motion and sound. The spar continued, both combatants matching each other's moves with uncanny precision. They moved closer to the edge of the waterfall, the mist enveloping them.
As the spar neared its climax, Kio and Yagyu intensified his attacks, both their swords clashing with even greater force. Kio pushed himself to his limit, sweat dripping down his brow, yet never wavered.
Finally, with a final clash that reverberated through the air, Kio and Yagyu separated, their swords held at a respectful distance. The mutual respect and admiration evident between them. Kio and Yagyu lowered their swords simultaneously, signifying the end of their spar. With a deep bow, they expressed their gratitude to each other for the exhilarating match they had just shared. The sound of the waterfall served as a backdrop to their silent acknowledgment, reminding them of the power and beauty that could be found in perfect balance.
"Excellent work, my boy. Your swordsmanship have really improved," Yagyu praised, his voice filled with genuine admiration. "Your movements are fluid and precise, and your understanding of the blade is evident. It is proof that you have cultivated your skill."
"You honor me with your words, Lord Munenori." While bowing to his teacher. Meanwhile, Raikou, Kintoki, and Kiyohime, who had been observing the sparing match, were equally impressed. They had witnessed the clash of blades, the display of skill and technique, and were captivated by Kio's prowess.
Raikou, with a mixture of awe and excitement, exclaimed, "Kio, your swordsmanship is extraordinary! I've never seen anyone wield a blade with such grace and precision." Kintoki chimed in with an enthusiastic grin, "Hell yeah! You're like lightning, swift, powerful! SO GOLDEN!!!" Kiyohime, typically more reserved, nodded appreciatively. "Your swordplay is truly captivating, Kio. It carries a sense of passion and purpose."
They all sat on the ground, enjoying the peace and quiet of the forest. Finding solace in the peaceful embrace of the forest. The tranquil ambiance enveloped them, offering a momentary respite from the rigorous fight. As they reveled in the serenity, a faint ringing sound pierced the calm, emanating from Kio's wrist.
As he picked up the call, he recognized Leonardo's cheerful voice on the other end. "Hello Kio, how is you're training today?" "It's going well, a bit sore but is nothing that I can't handle. Overall, I feel great, Lady Leonardo" he replied.
"Oh, I'm so sad. *Fake crying* How my cute little Kio grew up so fast. You even stopped calling me big sis." teased Leonardo. With a blank expression, Kio cracked a smile "Ok, Ok, I get it. I'm such a wicked boy, what ever shall I do?" They both snickered in unison. "Well, do you have time now to meet me at my workshop?" she asked. Kio confirmed with Kiyohime "You don't have anything set for right now, you are free to do whatever you want." "Alright, I'll meet you there" he replied. "Great" with that Leonardo ended the call.
"Heading out youngin? Yagyu called out. "Yes master, thank you for today's lesson." the old man walk towards the boy, placing his hand on the student's shoulder. "Do not worry about it, my boy. I am just glad to see someone as young as you work so hard to achieve his goals." "I won't let you down" he said with a smile. Yagyu laughs wholeheartedly "Without a doubt, I know you will" The master turned around and walked into the forest, waving. "I'll see you guys later, Mama Raikou, big brother Kintoki." Kio said. "Don't work too hard, Kio." Raikou stated. "Hell ya, stay golden little brother" Kintoki smiled.
With good-byes said, Kio and Kiyohime made their way to Leonardo's workshop.
Arriving at the workshop, which it located near the center of the Throne, close to the Mooncell. Her place bustling with the sounds of machinery and the scent of creativity. The workshop was a fusion of art and science, a testament to Leonardo's genius. As they stepped inside, the familiar figure of Leonardo and Medea greeted them with a warm smile. "Ah, you're here." in unison "Hello Lady Leonardo, Lady Medea, what is it that you need?" He asked. "I think that it is time to train your brain instead of your body. It has been a while since our last session. " the genius proclaimed. "Well, my body does ache a little bit from all the training. Where do we start?" the youth said. Under the tutelage of Leonardo and other academic spirits, Kio understood the meaning of "Knowledge is Power" through various subjects, ranging from mathematics to physics. Each topic presented its own challenges, and Kio experienced a mix of success and difficulty in his studies. Leonardo, the brilliant and charismatic scholar, guides Kio through sessions of general education at her workshop. Recognizing the importance of a well-rounded education, she designed a curriculum that would expand Kio's knowledge beyond his martial prowess and expose him to various fields of study. History, as Leonardo unveiled ancient scrolls and shared tales of civilizations long past. She brought history to life, weaving intricate narratives and highlighting the significance of past events on the present. "History provides us with invaluable lessons and insights. By studying the triumphs and failures of those who came before us, we can shape a better future." she said. Philosophy, Leonardo engaged Kio in thought-provoking discussions about the nature of existence, ethics, and the meaning of life. They explored various philosophical schools of thought and pondered the profound questions that have puzzled philosophers throughout the ages. "Philosophy encourages us to question and seek truth. It invites us to examine our beliefs, values, and the very essence of our existence." With the study session over, Medea came to Kio "Are you ready for your next lesson?" As Medea proposed the idea of teaching Kio about magic, a flicker of concern crossed his face. He knew deep down that he lacked the natural aptitude for magic, and he had struggled in previous attempts to grasp its intricacies. However, Medea's unwavering belief in his potential and her conviction that the knowledge would be beneficial to him. Lady Medea, I appreciate your confidence in me, but you know that I've always struggled with magic. I don't possess the same innate abilities as you and the others." Medea's eyes softened, her gaze filled with understanding and encouragement. "Kio, true magical prowess may not come to you effortlessly, but that does not mean you cannot learn and grow in this field. Magic is not limited to those with inherent talents; it is a discipline that can be honed with dedication and understanding. I believe that the knowledge of magic, even if it's not your primary strength, will prove invaluable to you one day."
"I understand, let us proceed then." Before Medea began her magical lesson with Kio, she suggested that he lay his head on her lap, a gesture that held a hint of nostalgia. Although Kio felt a twinge of embarrassment, "Um, Lady Medea, Is it really necessary to go through this process every time? I feel that you have some ulterior motive." While she laugh nervously, "Perish the thought, My dear Kio, I understand your hesitation. But rest assured, there are no hidden agendas or ulterior motives behind this prosses."
"You know I can sense when your lying, right?" He said with a blank face. *sigh*
Reluctantly, Kio complied, resting his head gently against Medea's lap, allowing himself to relax and embrace the serenity of the moment. Making sure that he fell asleep, Medea started caressing his hair (Ah, he was so cute when he was a child, but now he has grown up into a fine man. He's strong, brilliant, and quite handsome. Ooooh, If only I was able to have him all to myself, I would take him as my husband in a heartbeat.) As Medea was lost in her fantasy, *Ahem* Leonardo clearing her throat. "Aaahh, Leonardo, how long have you been there?" Medea stammered, attempting to regain her composure. "Since Kio placed his head on your lap" She said with a deadpan expression.
Leonardo's expression softened slightly, she let out a small sigh, her stern demeanor giving way to a more compassionate one. "I know, Medea. But let's keep our focus on the task at hand. We have much to accomplish," Leonardo said, her voice laced with a mix of concern and determination. Medea nodded in agreement. She collected herself and redirected her attention back to Kio, who was still sound asleep. Medea closed her eyes, in a concentrated manner and reopened them. She was in a space where the water reflects a twilight sky.
(imagine Bolivia salt flats).
This is Kio's dreamscape, a place that he controls. Kio was laying on the water looking up at the sky "No matter how many times I come here, I'll never get tired of this view."
Ah, I see, that's a good thing" Medea said, a hint of nostalgia in her voice as she recalled their previous encounters in Kio's dreamscape. Kio, let us delve into the basics of magic once more. This time, we will go even further, delving into the realms of advanced arcane knowledge." As his teaching commenced, Medea guided Kio through the intricacies of spellcasting, exploring advanced techniques and the control over mana. They delved into complex rituals, studied ancient incantations, and ventured into the depths of forbidden knowledge.
In the dreamscape, Kio could perceive the vivid colors and vibrant energies of magic, allowing him to visualize and grasp the concepts more effectively. Medea encouraged him to trust his instincts and tap into his sixth sense, which enhanced his perception of magical auras and energies. Medea demonstrated a few basic spells, showcasing the proper techniques and invocations. She guided Kio through the precise movements, teaching him the importance of the flow of energy. With patience and expertise, she helped him grasp the nuances of spellcasting, ensuring he understood the importance of accuracy and control.
Continuing their session, Medea introduced Kio to black, white and enchantments magic. She explained the power of symbols, sigils, and sacred objects in enhancing magical abilities and creating protective barriers. She emphasized the importance of respect and responsibility in handling such forces, cautioning against the misuse of magic.
"Things went smoothly; don't you think Kio?" Medea said as Kio was faced down on the floor with steam coming out of his ear. Kio slowly lifted his head from the floor, a dazed expression on his face as he tried to regain his composure. Steam continued to escape from his ears, a sign of his intense frustration.
"Smoothly?" Kio repeated, his voice tinged with exasperation. "I wouldn't exactly call it smooth, Medea. These magic studies pushes my brain to its limits!"
Medea's lips curled into a mischievous smile as she observed Kio's reaction. She had been pushing him hard during their sessions, challenging him to stretch his magical knowledge beyond what thought was possible. "Well, Kio, the path to mastery is never easy," Medea replied, her tone filled with a mix of amusement and encouragement. Kio let out a frustrated sigh, running his hand through his disheveled hair. "I understand, Lady Medea."
"Shall we call it for the day" she tells her student. "Ya, I am exhausted" he replied. As both Medea and Kio left the dreamscape, a small black sphere rises from the water. Floating completely still in the vast space.
Back at the workshop, Kio and Medea woke up to the sound of Leonardo tinkering with her inventions. She turned to them with an inquisitive expression, awaiting Kio's report. Kio took a moment to gather his thoughts before speaking. "The study with Medea went well. Still having a hard time understanding the idea of advance magic." "I am sure that in due time you will understand." Leonardo said with confidence.
"Hopefully" He said dishearten. "Umm, where is Lady Kiyohime?" "Oh, she went home to do some errands" Leonardo answered. "I see, well then, I am going to meet Lord Hassan. I'll talk with you guys later" Kio exhaled. Kio picked himself up, started walking towards the door, until Leonardo spoke out. "Kio, I need to talk to you about something important. I'll be waiting at you place when you are done." With a nod, Kio left the workshop.
"It has been ten years, hasn't?" Medea questioned. "Yes" Leonardo replied, her voice tinged with a hint of melancholy. "Ten years since that fateful day when Kio was sent here, bloodied and broken."
In the land of Jerusalem, the mountain stood tall and majestic, its rocky terrain contrasting with the clear blue sky above. Kio took a moment to catch his breath. It was a place of ancient wisdom and mystique, and he could sense the presence of something extraordinary, yet dark. Kio began his ascent, carefully navigating the treacherous path that led to the top.
As Kio stood at the summit of the mountain, surrounded by the enigmatic presence of Lord Hassan, he noticed the arrival of three other figures. They were the famed Assassins of the Hassan: Serenity, Hundred Persona, and Cursed Arm.
Serenity, with her serene and graceful demeanor, approached Kio with a gentle smile. Her presence emanated tranquility, and Kio felt a soothing aura enveloping him as she neared. She was known for her poison-based techniques and her ability to manipulate the deadliest toxins with delicate precision.
Hundred Persona, on the other hand, exuded an air of mystery. With her ever-changing appearances and personas, she represented the versatility and adaptability of an assassin. Each of her personalities had unique skills and capabilities, allowing him to seamlessly blend into any situation and strike with unexpected precision.
Cursed Arm, with his rugged and battle-worn appearance, approached Kio with a stern expression. His cursed arm, adorned with death magic, hinted at his prowess in close-quarters combat. Cursed Arm was renowned for his relentless determination and his unyielding loyalty to the Hassan. With the combined wisdom and mentorship of Lord Hassan and his fellow Assassins, Kio learned the way of the shadows. They all taught him their assassination techniques, especially the presence concealment skill.
"Welcome, apprentice," Lord Hassan's voice resonated with serene wisdom. "We have been expecting you." Bowing his head, Kio speaks "It has been a while Lord Has-" before he finished the sentence, the old man growled in a low voice, sparks of blue flame seep out of his skulls. "I-I mean Gramps."
Lord Hassan's eyes twinkled with amusement; a slight grin was made behind his mask. The others giggled at what they witnessed before them. "Come along, we have work to do" the hermit said. Kio followed Lord Hassan and the others into the depths of the cave, he could feel the weight of their expectations resting upon his shoulders. The air grew colder and more oppressive, the darkness enveloping them like a shroud. They arrived at a spacious chamber, faintly illuminated by torchlight.
"Kio," Lord Hassan's voice resonated in the chamber. "Presence concealment is a crucial skill for an assassin. It allows you to move undetected, to become one with the shadows. Show me the fruit of your labor." Kio took a deep breath, steadying his nerves, and focused his mind on the task at hand. He visualized himself blending into the surroundings, becoming nothing more than a whisper in the wind.
He silences his footsteps, ensuring each movement was deliberate and controlled. His breathing slowed, his heartbeat steadied, and he let his awareness expand, attuning himself to the subtle energies around him. Silently, he began to move, his steps barely registering against the rocky ground. He melded with the darkness, his presence diminishing until he became little more than a fleeting thought, a figment of imagination.
Lord Hassan observed with keen eyes, his gaze unyielding yet fair. Serenity, Hundred Persona, and Cursed Arm remained silent, their presence melding seamlessly with the shadows, watching Kio's every move. Kio navigated the chamber, testing the limits of his presence concealment. He slipped past pillars and stalagmites, avoiding patches of light that threatened to betray his position. He used every inch of his training and natural instincts to remain hidden, his focus unwavering.
Minutes turned into hours as Kio continued his elusive dance through the chamber. The test of presence concealment was not just about physical stealth but also about maintaining mental clarity and suppressing any wavering doubts or distractions. Finally, Kio reappeared before Lord Hassan, his form materializing from the shadows. The other Assassins nodded in approval, acknowledging his display of skill and determination.
"Well done, boy," Lord Hassan's voice resonated with pride. "You have shown great progress in honing your skills. But remember, true mastery of this art requires unwavering focus, control over your own presence, and an acute awareness of your surroundings. Continue to practice and refine all your abilities." Kio bowed respectfully, grateful for the guidance and recognition.
He makes his way down the mountain, exhausted from everything that has happened. All he wants to do is go back home and sleep. As Kio entered his living quarters, he immediately sensed Leonardo's presence. The room was bathed in a soft glow from the flickering lights, casting dancing shadows on the walls. Leonardo sat on the couch; her eyes fixed on the window.
"Leonardo," Kio called out softly, breaking the silence that enveloped the room. "I'm back. Is everything alright?"
Leonardo looked up, her eyes meeting Kio's with a mix of sorrow and determination. She offered him a faint smile before patting the empty spot on the couch beside her. "Come, Kio. There's something important I need to discuss with you," she said, her voice carrying a weight of seriousness. He took a seat, waiting for her to say what she needed to say.
"It is time for you to return HOME!"
