"Everyday... Everyday... I feel like I'm not who I was. I'm like one of the monsters who live here. I'm meant to be human. Why am I not human. What did that stupid heart DO!" She yelled as she punched her mirror, the same routine she's been at for the last year.
Ever since that day, Avis's body seems to have been slowly changing into that of a monster's. And everyday she does her best to get rid of any features that would show the world that. She has done a decent job at it so far, with the only major change she's needed to make since then was to wear a face mask in public.
She puts on her mask before styling her messy silver hair in a what resembles a bob cut but ties all of the excess hair up in a mohawk style.
She reluctantly puts on her black jacket with a yellow stripe across the torso before heading out to at least try and preform in the plaza.
After arriving, she looked around to see if any one is after the strange heart she got, though no ones been after her yet. She stares up at the roof of the cavern with a hopeful look as she struggles to move her crates, though hearing the laughter of some rabbit talking to himself across the street.
She finally finishes setting up after 20 minutes, though still feeling lacking in her singing as she once did, she presses on.
As she sings a piece she composed herself about wanting to belong again, the Rabbit guy she heard laughing earlier came over and was watching with a smile on his face. He seemed to be enjoying himself, though he sounded a bit more feminine then she excepted.
He even began to sing along, like he already knew the words. Singing in a pitch perfect voice along with Avis, which made her sing even harder, not not only upstage him, but to have fun with something for the first time in awhile.
People actually started to gather around to watch the two sing, as they found it to be mildly entertaining for this Rabbit and 'human' to be singing along with each other like it was a musical.
As the song picked up, so two did the duo, facing each other and singing their hearts out, Avis felt free for the first time in ages, like she was finally being heard by someone, who she figured was normal.
The rabbit began to open portals to amplify his voice, outshining Avis, but she wouldn't back down. As the song reached its peak, Avis unlocked something, her magic. In an amplified voice that was loud enough to be heard like a it was concert she sung her heart out, with tears in her eyes, even the rabbit stopped to let her sing solo, she was finally seen, she was finally heard, she felt like a bird free of its cage.
She just felt like... Avis.
