Ven stared at 'Eden's' frame in shock and slight fear. "I-Is it r-r-really her!?" He stammered out. Avis and Vinea, who had no real knowledge of history, casually approached the frame and poked it.
"I don't think it's on." Avis said with a shrug as she patted Ven on the back. Tid-Bit began to scan the frame, taking control of Ven.
"This is... My Eden"
Vinea laughed, flicking the robot's face with a vine like hand. Ven took control, snatching his hand away from the frame. "Don't! Even I, the great Ven, know when not to fight. If this thing turns on, we could all die!"
"But... It looks so dumb. How did you lose to it?" Vinea laughed, going back to searching the lab for more things to steal. Ven sighed and stared at the frame with a worried look as Tid-Bit began to scan it over more.
"Ven, don't worry. Eden is more like a doll now. It has no power source, no Sub-minds, and no connection to any technology." Tid-Bit smiled, trying to reassure Ven that Eden was still gone, but one question still rang in his brain.
Why did Panila have the original Eden?
After awhile of internally debating with himself, Ven used a portal and pulled the frame through to a smaller scale before placing it in his coat pocket. 'Better Panila doesn't have a bloody super weapon, even if it ain't working' he thought as Avis and Vinea were messing around with a pair of goggles like it was the most interesting thing in the world.
After about 5 more minutes of searching, the trio found another switch that revealed a passage way up to the surface. It took them around 3 minutes of long and tedious walking to finally escape to see the glowing lights of the central plaza from the outskirts of Detainment.
"Finally! That was loooooong." Avis said with a cheerful chirp as she took in the 'fresh' air. Ven still seemed somewhat troubled but hid it under his cool persona. "Well... What now? I haven't got a place to stay, I've got to get hearts, and I want to taste something again..."
Avis glanced around before smiling at Ven and Vinea. She pointed at the two with gusto, like she was an idol.
"You two can stay at mine, since Ven helped me out of my rut. And Vinea... You just seem a bit pathetic without friends."
Vinea looked at her with a sour glare before laughing, not really one to argue the truth. Ven seemed pleasantly surprised, not having anywhere else to go, he agreed.
The trio had to walk for quite a bit before reaching Avis's place, but once they did, they all immediately crashed on the floor from exhaustion.
The Next Day
"Everyday feels great, so Ven... What does food taste like?" Tid-Bit asked as Ven sat at a table while Avis was preparing some breakfast.
"It all tastes different, but carrots are probably the best... Mollia's name, I can't eat carrots." He groaned. Vinea was sitting across from Ven, devouring a plate of bacon and eggs. "Hey Chicken, is eating eggs cannibalism for you?" Vinea said with a smirk as he glanced at Avis.
"Are you a cannibal for eating lettuce?"
"Uhm... No?"
"Then you've got your answer." Avis smirked as she began to devour her eggs from the kitchen side. It was a rather small apartment, with everything being in the same room, except from the bathroom which didn't have a door.
"Wow, is this how 'poor' people live?" Tid-Bit asked Ven while he stared at the other two with envy. "Yes Bit. This is how poor people live... Even the poor lived the same back in my day."
"Hey!" Avis said as she threw a fork at Ven that got stuck in his cheek, much to everyone's amusement.
After everyone had finished eating and cleaning up the place, they all planted on the couch and watched TV to see an Advertisement to play.
Eido came on screen, wearing a more luxurious outfit then when Ven first met her. She was standing on a grand stage with a gigantic beating robotic heart behind her, having big grin as she pointed to the screen and said:
"Hello Underbelly Denizens! It is I-do. Come to Diminutive to witness me preform live! This is the show for a life time, don't miss it! And to the Rabbit and Bird who escaped us last night, if you're ever watching... I'll make sure you get a grand Finale."
She finished it off with a neck slitting motion with one of her back arms, somehow making that seem cute and cuddly.
Ven, Avis, and Vinea turned off the TV with stunned silence.
"We."
"Are."
"So."
"Gonna go and watch the performance!" Tid-Bit said with excitement as she spoke through Ven, spooking the other two who weren't use to Ven switching in and out randomly.
"Are you crazy, Bit?" Ven asked as he took control, staring at the holographic Bit who was standing in front of him.
"Hmm, last I checked I was perfectly up to code. But didn't you see what was behind her? It was Sub-mind heart model 4: Codename: 'Asi'." She said with a big smile, much to Ven's annoyance as he turned to the other two.
"Where is Diminutive? I'm gonna have to break in to it." He said casually, much to Avis and Vinea's confusion. "You're not getting in to Diminutive." Avis answered with a sigh, getting up and opening a curtain to point towards a dragon skull in the distance.
"Is Diminutive behind the dragon?"
"It's in the skull, Rabbit." Vinea said with jazz hands, like it was common knowledge. Ven sighed, walking towards the window and staring at the skull from a distance.
"Then looks like we're going to break in to an Idol's show and steal a heart!" He said with a grin as he turned around, raising Heartbreaker up and accidentally stabbing the ceiling.
With a new goal in mind, The trio headed over to Diminutive's station, staring at the 57ft tall skull with amazement. "So, an entire domain is in there?" Ven asked with a curious tap on the skull, though noticing to late the rather large sign that said 'don't touch'.
"Yeah, smallest place in Pandora. But it isn't about the size, it's more the scale." Avis said with a smirk. Ven sighed, trying to figure out how to get in, before noticing a small red hovercraft flying through one of the eyes of the skull.
"I reckon I've got a few Ideas..." Ven said with a smirk before noticing that Vinea and Avis were walking off. "HEY, WHERE YOU GOING!?" He yelled as the duo walked in the station. Avis turned back and yelled: "Yeah, we're gonna get the quicker way in that's only good for the living. See you inside, Ven."
He let out a tired sigh and opened a small exit portal above were the hovercrafts went in before opening an opening on the ground. He waited a good 24 minutes before the next craft went by. He quickly jumped through, barely landing on the craft as it flew into the eye hole, seeing complete darkness.
"Hey Bit... Does this eye have night vision?" Ven asked, before his eye sight went night vision. He quickly thanked her but before he could see were he was, he was blinded by so many lights that he fell off the craft.
Ven was rapidly falling, but with quick thinking (and a bit of luck) weaved through portals before crashing down at Avis's feet outside the station.
"Oww..." He groaned as Avis helped him up. He looked a bit confused for a moment, before turning around to seeing a gigantic city glowing city that had buildings going up the walls of the skull, different bug like people walking around, and a dark yet colourful lights glowing through out.
"Woah." Tid-Bit and Ven muttered at the same time. Avis and Vinea did jazz hands as they dramatically posed to show off the city, both saying in unison:
"Welcome to Diminutive Domain!"
