Adeline heard the door open and she knew instantly that they were in front of a house or maybe something similar. Her blindfold was only taken off after she'd been walked further in and at the first site of the roughed up interior and cold wooden floor, she knew instantly that they were at a warehouse.
She hadn't even had proper time to register the whole situation when her legs were kicked and she was forced down on her knees.
Mikhail and one other man grabbed both her hands and locked a chain that connected to the walls around her wrist. Still, Adeline didn't complain or resist. It didn't matter what they ended up doing to her, but she was going to save her father.
"Keep your eyes on her," Mikhail ordered his comrade and left the warehouse to make a phone call.
Adeline tried to move her hands that were chained to her back, but she could only hiss in pain. The floor was also dusty and cold which made things even worse.
