Adeline couldn't say a word because all she could manage was a nod, a subconscious nod of her head.
Caesar patted her cheek and tucked the strands of hair that fell over her face behind her ear.
"Good girl," he hummed, his eyes smiling along with his lips.
Adeline slowly slipped away from him, and immediately rushed out of the bathroom. She slammed the door shut and rested her back against the door, her chest rising and falling in heavy breathing.
