Caesar blinked as if clueless about his actions.
"Oh?" Then an eye-crinkling smile appeared on his face. "My apologies. I have the tendency to get rough. I didn't hurt you, did I?" He let go, sparing Adeline a glance.
"What are you doing?" Adeline mouthed silently to him with a confused frown.
Caesar didn't give her an answer but diverted his attention back to Dimitri. "I heard you would be hosting the auction today." The smile was no longer apparent on his cold face. "Let's hope it goes excellently."
Dimitri wasn't sure what it was, but those words and his tone didn't feel like nothing. Rather, they felt like he was being warned of something to come. This caused him to frown, and he threw Caesar a nasty look.
"If you fucking cause any trouble for me, Caesar, you'll regret it," he warned, his eyes sharpening vigilantly.
Caesar cocked an eyebrow, disdain boiling in his pupils.
