"Caesar lost his temper," Nikolai complained. "It was awful. My wolf was beyond threatened, even though it wasn't directed at me. I just wanted to get out of there. I have never felt that sort of fear before. I mean, I never knew Caesar could get that angry. It wasn't just me, even his father felt intimidated, and the councilmen…let's not even talk about them."
"I wonder how you deal with him, being a beta. You're always by his side in those kinds of situations. I am merely his bodyguard, and this is the first time."
"Mhm, yeah. It's tough," Yuri remarked and blew the strands of his blonde hair off his face.
"What happened? Caesar doesn't lose his temper so easily. He isn't the type."
"Yeah, when it doesn't have to do with Adeline." Nikolai sighed, receiving a glass of cocktail from the omegan bartender. "They mentioned arranging sets of omegas for him. They want him to get married soon and breed a pup—a supreme alpha, to be specific."
