Caesar sat down, crossing his legs. Beside him stood Nikolai.
Even though Mr. Sergey had spoken against bringing Nikolai, he didn't seem to care. Nikolai was his right-hand man, someone he trusted as much as he did Yuri. There was no reason why he wouldn't bring him to such a bloodthirsty meeting.
One of the seven councils cleared his throat, able to feel the sudden uncomfortable tension between the father and son.
Before the meeting began, they all stood up, bowing respectively to him. "Supreme alpha. It is good to have you here." They were all standard alphas, just like Mr. Sergey.
Caesar nodded in acknowledgment, his gaze fixed on his father, who was shooting him bemoaning glares.
"Have your seats," Mr. Sergey commanded.
The seven councilmen sat down, taking a deep breath.
"Do you know why you've been called here, Caesar?" Mr. Sergey questioned. As much as he tried to control his temper, his tone still sounded hostile.
