"That is so odd, if it wasn't a click menu why did it go up when I press it? Am I not allowed to use this menu or something? If so I am sorta screwed."
He kept clicking and clicking and nothing. Suddenly an envelope icon appeared in his eye sight. Focusing on it, it open up and displayed a message from Lisa.
[Sorry… We had a talk and we think it is best if we go our separate ways. It isn't like we are seperating ourselves from you, these are your girlfriends words by the way. But yeah basically, it might be best we spend the rest of the time apart.]
Haseo pressed on create lobby, not knowing he was trying in join in on theirs, and calmly set some options up.
"A lot of grayed out add ons. But only the Internet Time one is working. Hmm, so survive point a to point b. Every round after that in the same area I can add a time distortion item. This both helps and hurts. That's good to know, won't be doing it for awhile now. Even with my newfound time magic."
…
[Class 4 Weapon: These are weapons that bullets causes world damage. These weapons can even be used to kill a sun.]
Haseo was holding a bulky rifle. It had a rectangular cube scope, being able to scope up to a solar system away.
Swinging around the unloaded rifle,. He aimed at a tree and information was displayed directly to him.
"Hmm, this is a bit scary. Why am I holding a weapon in my hands, that is able to decimate a sun?!"
He could only be happy that he couldn't afford the bullets. In fact it seemed that while buying the ammo was possible, 99% of the bullets on the market were loans.
It cost no upfront money, so you wouldn't be scared it was a scam. The things one could earn from taking one bullet loan and hitting the target, it could make even the friendliest people commit murder.
But if you were to miss your target… it is better to just say you can't afford it. Haseo was going to try his best to not ever take a loan out.
Haseo looked around at the weird place he ended up at. There was no one else, it was only him.
He walked up to the tree, and pressed the barrel of the rifle against it. "Why are you here? There is no other living things here, just me and a tree. So tell me your name?"
The tree suddenly morphed into a tree girl, part of her hair morphed into a tree root and ripped the rifle out of Haseo's hands.
He reached to use his Class 0 weapon, it should have a few abilities in it to handle trees. But he froze as the tree girl slowly walked over to him to grab his throat. He wasn't frozen by fear, just blanking out over the fact he couldn't find anything.
"So I no longer have Class 0 item usage? I can only connect to the internet now?! Oh boy, let me search up how not to get humiliated by a tree girl!"
As the tree girl had a strong grip on his neck, Haseo's face went red. She tilted her head, she hasn't started putting much force in her grip but it looked like he was dying.
Haseo's glowing magenta eyes suddenly dimmed and he cleared his throat. "Sorry, I opened up the search engine by mistake. If you heard audio from it, then please kill me now."
"…"
"…or did you like the video? Personally I was in it for the first half. But then the pitcher and catcher switched positions, the 100% simulated feelings is automatically on. A curse of gift."
"…I'm sorry what now? I thought you came here to kill me. I even grabbed your gun cause I noticed your lack of ammo. Don't worry, won't be needing these anytime soon. So a gift."
The tree girl gave him his gun back which was fully loaded and she also supplied him with an ammo cache of 10,000 rounds. She released her grip, thinking it was a bummer.
She came prepared to make sure the person who showed up killed her. Watching tv dramas most of her life, yes tree girls have tv, she knew guys never wanted to harm the evil demon lords daughter. If a sword was used, it only slashed about in the air before stabbing deep into the evil demon lords daughter chest.
"…why are you drooling right now? Can trees eat people? Like am I in your diet or something? Uh anyways, thanks for the sun ending bullets free of charge. I guess like anyone handed something without a paper trial, I'll go use these."
The tree girl t-posed before morphing more into a tree than a person. She was still human shaped enough to speak to him.
"Have no worries, the tale of my life is long and sad. I am what you would call immortals who have given up, but can't find a way to make the pain go away. While what I gave you can't end me fully, it should put me into a coma and give me a lost in time feel, making my worries float away like mist."
Haseo lifted the rifle and aimed it at her. When he saw the outcome of the shot he was confused. The tree girl, as if sensing what Haseo was feeling, started to speak.
"Well you see, I look very young for my age. This isn't normally a problem. Most immortals look too young to approach. Not because they were turned young or anything. They just had so much life force stored in them, they could only appear as teenagers. That is why learning how to transform into older beings is important."
"I heard the words come out of your mouth, but I couldn't help but feel it doesn't correlate to the bullet I am using. This is a melon milkshake WMD, an oddly design bullet that comes out as two bullets. They are auto design to land in already marked space."
The tree girl sighed. "You see, the boys never came to me. On the radio a few thousand years ago, a radio signal from a future music society provided me with wisdom."
He didn't feel like shooting the rifle and wanted to hear the tree girl more. "So what did this society teach you? Also sending signals into the past is weird, how futuristic were they?"
She was moving her hands and motioning to her flat chest, making finger guns shoot and pointing at his rifle. It seemed they both wanted each other to hurry up.
The tree girl looked at a weird watch on her wrist. "You are wasting both our limited time in this timeline kid. Stop asking so many questions, one more. You get one more story about me before you give me the thing to bring those to the yard."
Haseo knew it, or rather he guessed something like this was possible. Either she heard something from the Thought Realm he was from or something like a parallel universe or such.
She started to breath deeply and exhaled with her tongue out. Haseo raised his hand and yelled out. "Teacher! While I respect you as someone who holds information. The way you cleared your throat to get ready to speak has left me feeling… off."
She looked to the side, still t posing but her knees looked like they were giving out. "Well, all I can think of is a secret I never thought I would share with anyone."
"Not because it is something too important, just as an old immortal I don't hangout with those with shorter lives. It feels weird with the age gap sometimes."
She grew her hair out to scratch her back, making sure to keep her arms straight out. "This only really applies to you, so I made this little meeting happen. Truth it helps me more telling you this. Make a pledge of non-violence."
Her hair pointed at the rifle in his hands. "Doing this with a weapon will set it to peaceful setting. So you will be able to bring the gun you are holding, ammo as well, into a place where no violence will come to you."
Haseo got lost in daydreaming about this. "So I can go around mining with this gun, blowing up planets and such, and no one will come and stop me?"
The tree girl did a little wave with her body and arms. "Not exactly, it is non violence after all. Well, you will see the outcome when you shoot me now. Make pledge than shoot, I need to watch the wording. Though either outcome is good with me."
Haseo lifted the rifle and aimed it directly above him in the sky. His key pet was just far enough for the rifle to click into it.
"I guess I turn this like a key and make the pledge. Such an oddly specific process to be supplied from someone I just met."
