Chapter 7 - Meeting the Gang Pt. 1

Damien turned his head stretching it to stare at the others sitting on the couch. Not a single one of them turned to look back. "Such an inviting bunch" he thought to himself.

After around thirty seconds one of them peered over. She was a small girl probably around four.her big purple eyes were like lilac saucers filled with wonder and innocence. She had gorgeous pink hair, it bounced on her shoulders in two pigtails. "Wat dat Uncle Tep" she pointed at the tiny bundle in Tepmin's arm.

"Oh, this little tike? This is Damien he just came in this morning." Tepmin turned towards the girl showing off Damien as if he was a trophy, a beaming smile on his face. "You want to say hello Melody?" Her eyes got bigger and she shimmied herself over a big smile finding itself to her face.

"Hello Dabien" she chirped as sweetly as she could. Damien eyed her before scrunching his nose and cooing softly. "She said it wrong but she's cute" he thought to himself.

At that moment there was a cacophony of laughter, yelling and just overall noise as the doors flung open. Several people practically dogpiled themselves through it. Some tripping over others while a select few waited then stepped over the rest. There were ten of them over all. Five boys and five girls. Including Melody who hed already met. "Alright everyone in a line oldest to youngest post haste!" Tepmin's booming voice split through the noise like a knife through butter. In seconds everyone has scrambled up and were in an orderly line. A young woman of around sixteen stood at the front. Her eyes were an ice blue and her demeanor matched her icy gaze. "Come say hello to the final member of our family Jasmine." Her snow white hair whipped behind her as she stepped forward. She leaned down and kissed his forehead, her lips were surprisingly warm to the touch, a feeling of euphoria entered Damien's tiny body as her lips brushed his forehead ever so gently. "What's his name Uncle Tep?"

"Damian, but I prefer little tike." Tepmin winked with a gleam in his eyes. His remark followed by a tiny snort from Damien.

"A strong name, by the looks of him he will follow it's nature." She smiled, and her face softened. Damien noticed she was quite beautiful, she had a small nose, full lips, and long eyelashes. Her eyebrows were set perfectly on her face. Her lightly rounded cheeks gave hints of what was left of her baby fat, her ebony skin enhancing her eyes and hair. Damien cooed in appreciation of both her comment and appearance. She stepped aside and the next stepped forward.

"What an intense gaze he has." This time a young man stepped forward he looked to be a few months younger than Jasmine. He had light olive skin, his red eyes were cold, calculating, and extremely intelligent. He was thin but built. He had very short blue hair that matched the majesty of any ocean's waves. So much so that it looked like his hair was flowing like the ocean.

He had a slight cleft lip but it helped match his energy making him look more mature with an air of danger.

"How's it goin Damien, my name is Malik" he reached down and took the little hand and gave it a small squeeze. Damien felt an immediate sense of comfort and safety. For the first time since his birth he smiled. His intense green eyes softened and they glowed for but a moment. Immediately Malik gasped and took a step back.

"What happened." Tepmin looked at him concerned.

"Hi... His eyes glowed." Malik stammered

"There's no way, he's too young he shouldn't be able to use his soul power until he's five." Tepmin looked down to Damien in confusion and wonder. "If what you say is true, we need to keep it to ourselves. Or he will be taken either for experimentation or worse."

"Understood, I'll make sure we all keep him under wraps whenever we go out with him." Malik nodded in somber understanding his eyes taking a serious light.

"Moving on though, Ozias you're next." Malik stepped aside as another young man walked up he looked about a year younger than his older brother. He was a large boy, built like a tank his chin solid like stone his eyes a grey to match, his hair a dark brown was a mess. He almost matched Tepmin's size he also seemed to still be growing. His muscles rolled as he very gently poked Damien in the nose. "Grow up quickly, it will be nice to have another to play with." His voice was already gruff hinting at his progression through puberty. A tiny bit of stubble could also be seen already growing on his chin and upper lip. Damien scrunched his nose at the touch as it tickled his nose. So far he was liking his family.
