Chapter 34 - In the Library

Amelia woke up in the morning and realized she had slept in her bed still wearing the clothes she wore to campus the day before: tight jeans and a coral peach blouse that now smelled slightly sour. The fabric clung uncomfortably to her skin, a reminder of the long day that had bled into an even longer night. 

She groaned, stretching out her stiff limbs and feeling the weight of exhaustion in her bones. The room was warm by the morning sun filtering through the blinds, casting a soft glow on the messy piles of textbooks and notes scattered around her.

"Oh crap! What time is it?" Amelia yelped in panic.

She didn't remember going to her room, so it must have been Nick who carried her to bed last night. Amelia blushed, imagining Nick carrying her bridal style to her room—it was something she used to dream about.
